Just a reminder that I'm unable to change my handle name for another 13 days.. we will get there!! Thank you for joining in with my VoicePlay week! Little hiccup in the middle, but we did it. Pleas consider supporting me over on Patreon if you did enjoy - www.patreon.com/jenniferglatzhofer

It makes zero sense why they're making you wait 13 days to change your handle when it was OBVIOUSLY done by a malicious actor. Stupid power games. :( They could change it today.

Yes, this was the introduction of Violayne and Vio-J. The violins are so good. Voiceplay loves a post apocalyptic visual theme.

Layne is classically trained on the violin. This one never gets old - it's always in my top 10

Is this the one where he's beatboxing WHILE playing the violin?

He did the tracks separately.

@@parkerbrown-nesbit1747 Yes he's doing both at the same time. You can see it when the camera zooms in on his face.

This piece was just wonderful and your reaction and analysis was spot on! J had not played the violin for awhile and tried to say no to Layne (like that could happen). J was sure that he couldn't learn the whole piece. Layne told him, you don't have to, only the bits I give you. Much easier that way. This was filmed in a working warehouse with constant loud obnoxious grinding sounds that they had to ignore. it is amazing what they can do!

Great arrangement of this song. Yes, it wasn’t as much of a surprise when Layne caught the violin in the ( guitar solo). I remembered this one cause it was one of my early favorites! Great analysis! Low bass Kenneth.

My father was a life-long violinist so of course I really appreciated the violins in this. Layne has also played since early childhood. And it shows. The BTS video for this showed them prancing about between takes. Hilarious. :)

Seeing Layne on that electric violin without a cable is making me chuckle a bit. FYI for anyone that doesn't know, a violin needs a resonance body to be loud. Typically, that is wood. An electric without some kind of loudspeaker is almost silent. He probably couldn't be heard at all on set.

This was the performance that switched me from a fan to an obsessed fan. Still rate this one at or near the top of all of them. We had to wait three years to hear VioLayne again. He is such a masterful violinist, I was jaw-dropped through the whole song. Such gorgeous tone from his instrument. Loved hearing your response to it, thank you!

I have enjoyed these reactions/analysis so much this week. I've been under the weather for the last couple of weeks and every day this week I get off work, trudge to the kitchen to get my supper then settle in to enjoy your reactions. They have been the highlight of my day this week. Thank you so much!!

Jennifer! Catching up ... again! Will be my lot for a bit. So VoicePlay. I don't know the song so that will be a surprise. Nice! You have a tissue handy! 😊 LOL ... 3:30 to 3:45 an open mouthed Jen! 😁 Speechless she was! Oh the "plucking" ... pizzicato right? Well this was a pleasing song ... lots of buildups and abrupt stops. Loved that the violin was just sort of a highlight instrument in places. Great reaction and analysis as always Jen! 😊

If my information is correct, that “birth” of VioLayne occurred after 11 years of study of the violin. He’s really quite accomplished. That these guys do their own arrangements (mostly) between Geoff, Layne and Eli … and their talent at performing is proof they are the real thing.
@Drake844221 Жыл бұрын
I think that, rather than "conversational," the word you are maybe more looking for is "informal." You are right, it isn't something you'd hear in a conversation, but rather more something that you just wouldn't hear in a more formal context. That's my take on it, at least.

If you really want your mind blown, listen to and analyze the American prog band Kansas! Some song suggestions: Journey from Maribronn, The Pinnacle, The Wall, Miracles out of Nowhere, Hold On, Dust in the Wind. Most any Kansas song. The primary tenor Steve Walsh is considered one of the 5 greatest rock singers and Robby Steinhardt, in addition to playing violin (yes. violinist in prog rock) is a secondary lead vocalist (a baritone). It is music from the 70s, but such GREAT musicians and vocalists!!!

This is widely considered ( by me as well ) as the song where they started to evolve into the modern monster that is voiceplay. They are just so special.

Hi, so you said recently that you want more comments under your videos, here is mine: Is there some particular reason you are the only vocal coach that is not reacting to the Dimash of the last year or so (figuratively speaking, they are very different) - REN, or it's just a huge oversight on your part? If it's the latter, I suggest you start with "Hi Ren" , then follow with "The Tale of Jenny & Screech ", and after that you would want to see everything else he does. You are welcome! 😀
