Volkswagen Golf - Maniobra de esquiva
La primera pasada con el Golf de octava generación, a 77 km/h y sin conocer cómo iba a reaccionar en este ejercicio, no fue exitosa. Aunque no hubiéramos tirado ese primer cono a la entrada al sector central, el subviraje a la salida de este sector era tan grande que nos hacía imposible orientar adecuadamente el coche para entrar en el tramo final. Esta fue la tónica general en el resto de pasadas.
Tanto es así, que la velocidad máxima a la que superamos la prueba limpiamente fue 69 km/h, un valor muy bajo, sobre todo para un vehículo de este tipo. Creemos que una parte importante de la responsabilidad de esta velocidad tan baja la tiene el conductor, pero también los neumáticos Bridgestone Turanza T005 que lleva la unidad del vídeo. Notábamos que no agarraban lo suficiente para tirar del coche hacia donde apuntábamos con el volante. Es algo muy parecido a lo que experimentamos con un Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé, que con el mismo modelo de neumático no logramos pasar la esquiva a más de 66 km/h.
Más allá de los neumáticos, este Golf tiene una suspensión que controla bien los movimientos de la carrocería y evita que esta tenga un balanceo excesivo. Como se ve en las pasadas a más velocidad, el problema es siempre el subviraje.
Eslalon
Este Golf se maneja bien en los sucesivos cambios de dirección que se hacen en el eslalon y el eje trasero tiene un ligero deslizamiento que ayuda a cerrar la trayectoria. Llegado al umbral de velocidad que el coche considera excesivo, las ayudas electrónicas a la conducción intervienen frenando selectivamente las ruedas. Esa intervención es en algunos casos muy evidente y pudiendo llegar a bloquear más de una rueda para alcanzar su objetivo.

​@@SuperMentis yes, but I know other "sport cars" that did the fallowing: Renault Megane GT 2016 - 77 km/h ; Mazda 3 2019 -77 Km/h ; Peugeot 308 2017 - 82 Km/h and Ford Focus 2018 - 83 Km/h (which holds the record, even better than other true sport cars). So it seems it is a really agile class, except for one car. And like you said, you don't do slaloms on the roads on purpose, you will do this maneuver instinctively, maybe once in your life time or never. You can say the same thing for the Euro NCAP test. Who needs 5 stars safety, I don't do crashes. These are things that can happen only once (or never), but when they happen, it matters. So, personally I would prefer to be in a more agile car, because this car is on the bottom of the list right now..

Misma plataforma para 30 modelos diferentes han convertido un mito en este artefacto peligroso. Un coche del montón, con prestaciones dinámicas medio/bajas (comparado con la competencia), con muchos leds, pantallas y adornos que distraen al comprador de lo que verdaderamente es un coche, todo lo contrario a un árbol de navidad. La ingeniería/tecnología predominante en un vehículo ha de ser la mecanica, las lucecitas y pantallas están al alcance de cualquier fabricante, que un vehículo tenga un comportamiento seguro está claro que no.. Rompiendo una lanza a favor, señores de km77, somos muchos los que esperamos ansiosos sus pruebas y últimamente nos encontramos muchas excusas (temperatura del asfalto, piloto, ruedas, lluvia..) estaría genial que regulasen las condiciones y parámetros en las que se ha de efectuar la maniobra porque algo que han popularizado como muy interesante está empezando a carecer de sentido.

Señores de km77, aunque la prueba usa las medidas de norma ISO ¿qué opinan ustedes de la validez de la misma cuando los dos primeros carriles de conos se ensanchan en función del ancho del coche? esto perjudica a los coches estrechos, y sin embargo en una situación real los carriles son iguales para todos los coches. Estos coches estrechos en situación real tendrían más márgen dentro del carril para hacer la maniobra más abierta y la prueba les quita esa ventaja. Los coches anchos ya tienen su propia ventaja intrínseca de tener mayor ancho de vías y/o mayor ancho de neumáticos. Por otro lado, los 3 tramos de conos no se alargan entre ellos para coches largos, por tanto la prueba beneficia específicamente a coches cortos y anchos. ¿No debería ser igual para todos, ya que la carretera es igual para todos?

Tires are Bridgestone Turanza T005 in case anyone missed that part because it seems a lot of you guys did... It's advertised as a "grand touring summer" tire so I would guess the focus is a quiet, comfortable ride with wet performance to be a top priority over dry performance. The tire itself wasn't designed for fast transitions like these moose test.

Desde mi punto de vista, Volkswagen se está dejando caer en calidades de sus vehículos, está claro que esta prueba no tiene nada que ver con el comportamiento del coche en circuito o carretera de montaña, pero en las versiones inferiores deberían hacer coches más seguros y equilibrados, el esp no actúa mucho en este modelo como en los coches franceses, algo que debería ser casi obligatorio ya que no se trata de una versión deportiva o de altas prestaciones, segundo, los coches de bajo segmento en su modelo como este en golf, deberían desarrollar chasis más flexibles y no tan rígidos como este, que en cambios bruscos de dirección arrastra todo el peso del vehículo, los neumáticos tampoco son los mejores, la puesta a punto, dudo mucho de ella. El Golf seguirá siendo el Golf, pero no por ello se deben dejar dormir en los árboles, ya que es su modelo más vendido junto al Polo, deberían currarse más estos modelos, los únicos que sirven ahora mismo de los Golf, desde mi punto de vista, son el GTI y el R, y del Polo, pues el GTI.

@sennheiser if best tell me why other 3 cars ( a class coupe and cla shooting brake with same BTT005 cant reach 70kph and on other tires other brands ( same tarmac ) for example MPS3 or 4 gets at least 75kps... no better are pilot sport 3/r or Continental sport but hell check price and u will know why BTT005 are cheaper than ps4

Claramente subvirador. Nueva demostración empírica de que Honda, Ford, Peugeot ... , están claramente por encima de lo que no se ve, esto es, lo importante. Totalmente de acuerdo. También te digo que coincido en que los neumáticos son una patata y que tienen mucho que decir en ese resultado. Pero no es una excusa. Que una marca como Volkswagen monte de fábrica esos neumáticos confirman lo que dices: mucha pantallita, mucho plástico blando pero te meto las ruedas que había en oferta. En cambio marcas con menos renombre montan suspensión trasera independiente y unos Michelin Primacy.

@@gvs9015 Precisamente en el reportaje de Km77 hacen alusión al pobre resultado de la esquiva a los neumáticos y comparan los resultados de varios coches con los Turanza en la prueba de frenada (bastante discretos todos) frente al Focus con Michelin Pilot Sport. Y hay una buena diferencia. Yo creo que al final todo suma pero me "indigna" que un coche de ese precio y potencia monte estas ruedas y otros modelos a los que mira por encima del hombro monten buenas ruedas (que al final son elementos de seguridad).

All cars understeer heavily if the brakes are not applied during turn in. Brakes improve front grip dramatically; in this case the computer doesn’t seem to apply enough braking as a result it understeers even in the second chicane so the speed is still high where other cars are fairly slow. I don’t think there’s anything mechanically wrong with this random hatchback
