Would you test drive the Passat R Line? Note the 2022 R Line isn't the same as before. Old powerful 220Ps engine, old 6 speed gearbox and I heard suspension tuning also different from previous R Line.

We are aware that the Passat R-Line has been updated for 2022 but contrary to popular belief, we cannot arrange for test cars the second they come out. We will test it in due course, when given the opportunity to do so.

Why would you get this over a VW Tiguan. Easy. All Passats have a low slung, sporty driving seating position, and they drive sublimely. Tiguan is a sit-up and beg driving position, which is ok for its type, but they are not engaging. I've had several SUV's but none of them comes close to my wife's 2012 Passat for driving satisfaction.
