Because of the Money System based on profits motive only above all else even humans lives and well-being. So, we do not have freedom to protect our values with the money so on. Hey Volvo, I love your new inventions and ideas to make driving on the road much safetier! Of course noone can avoid the use of trucks because they are our local logistical connections, but noone should worry about them anymore, I think. Your systems of the emergency breaks should be used in cars, too. In my opinion there are much more deadly accidents with modern cars than with modern trucks, because they have the safety systems that cars have not! Humans are still the better drivers, sure computers can do ever more complex tasks everyday but to this day traffic and the real world are still out of their reach. Getting rid of accidents is a lost cause, volvo. Aiming for it is a noble goal, but reaching it is impossible. There will always be someone is his good old viper sliding around without traction control in the snow, and i dont even blame him for doing it. You cannot put human beings in a cage. They want to feel safe, not BE safe. Driving aids will serve the masses well, but everyone who cares about having fun in their old rear wheel drive BMW, Mercedes, etc will never stop risking it in the corners. All of these things strip your control over the car, It limits your freedom, and all living beings require freedom, especially humans. Especially men... Sure, this works for trucks, it works for family cars, but... sorry... not everyone will drive a volvo... I Love you guys for trying, I believe that you can greatly decrease the number of TRUCK RELATED accidents, but teenagers, angry mothers and mustang drivers will never go away. As spanish truck driver for 26 years all across Europe, I personally think that when getting into our car we should be teached about what a heavily loaded truck can and cannot do. Driving the new FH-16 750 for four years, I know it overpasses by far the first truck I drove, but please, as well as I keep a very reasonable breaking distance, never think I can maneuver or break as car.

What happens when the brakes are automatically applied in a curve with a high C of G liquid load, or when a load cannot be secured to where it will not slide into the passenger compartment such as steel beams or pipes? There are situations where a heavy brake application is not the safest option
