Thanks for the video. I have one of these .270s on the way. I'm kinda concerned about the accuracy. I did watch your other videos, and the shooter is not the problem. I think that I would consider the muzzle break a possible culprit to the group problems. Barrel harmonics are a touchy thing. Thank you for what you're doing. I would love to see other videos about this savage. Wish me luck with mine.

@@JustPewIt I wonder if the problem lies with that Savage Axis barrel & action on a good chassis like the Oryx there. That might be the literal interpretation of putting lipstick on a pig. I would love to see a barrel upgrade video if you should go down that path. Cheers

I just got a 6.5 savage Axis 2, and I'm looking at the venom Vortex optics. This pretty much convinced me to buy the optic.

I’m looking to buy this rifle but I cannot decide what scope I want to get. I’m trying to get into hunting and I’m not too sure if say like this scope is too much? Any advice?

Ok so what I’d go with is the Arken sh4 gen 2 it’s all around great for hunting and long range shooting if you want to go even higher and want to wait a bit the Arken EP5 is beyond amazing but as you saw in this video the vortex venom is also great

Hi how does the glass compare between the venom and the strike eagle

I live in Oklahoma, and it seems like every time I go to the range to zero a rifle the wind picks up. The target blows around and I have trouble with the windage. Thanks for the video

The ones I have on this rifle are the high Arkin 34 mm but you can definitely use the medium height also

I have a 30 06 and superformance always shoots left and bad groups for me. Sure it has an extra 200 fps and 300 ft lbs of energy compared to most ammo but my 06 doesn't like it

What is the hight of your Picatinny Rings? 1.5 inch?

They are 1.45 Arken halo 34mm rings

They are the Arken high rings but if I went back to do it again I would have gone with the medium rings at the time they were sold out

try some crown royal bags with plastic bags full of sand underneath your kick pad it will tighten up your groups.

Bro 2 words stable platform. If that’s as accurate as that gun is then you need to send it back. With that said keep trying different ammo and use a stable platform. I have a 30-06 that shoot tighter groups at 600 yards then that gun .

Like athlon cronus line I got a pair of Binos and they are alot more clear and the edge to edge clarity compared to the vipers is unreal. And then the ep5 I had to have on the good ol 300 prc

hmmmmm...... sorry fulla but that was one of the worst shooting performances i have seen on u tube......how would you know what any of that ammo truely does? if the weather is that bad 1. don't make a rushed vid! 2. maybe build into your shooting a roof so you can take your Time get a rear bag and maybe a target that won't blow around in the wind. this thing should be clover leafing at 100m. this doesn't tell anyone anything just a waist of ammo bro. funny vid but if that's what you were going for.
