I used to be a mortician. I once actually had a request from someone who wanted to be taxidermied when he died. He asked me was it possible how much was it cost and was there a pre-need (buy before you die) plan available. I am not joking. He stated he had spoken to a lawyer and there was nothing at all that would prohibit this from being done legally. I explained that it was simply a service that we were unable to offer. I suggested trying a competitor. We also used to get a lot of calls on April 1st from people asking about the service for Myra Mains (my remains)

if you’re suddenly interested in the topic, i highly recommend that you watch ask a mortician’s video on it. she gives the practical reason why human taxidermy is a no-no. in short, it looks really, really bad because it’s just straight up skin and there’s nothing to patch it up, like fur or feathers.

wondering the same thing. especially from a channel that's got 15m subs. not sure how many he had in 2012 but it was probably still a pretty good bit. maybe the algorithm just likes to take older videos that did pretty well and recommend them later on to get some more views and interest.
