The Bentley manual is a good start, that book shows you just about everything. Expensive but worth it.

lol teardown in flip flops, saner than me with chainsaw in jammies. could you use a 98 quattro that lost #2 fire signal ? good body, interior, new tires and some intake, brake along with motor parts. Paint is shot. Fixed headlights melting ignition wires. The zeitgeist of design baffles me and is scarier than a 98 rover disco i had for some years. Near S San Jose, probably will deliver w/in 500 miles. +/- 1k

how you. i got a problem my oil was mix with water and was advised that i change gasket, i did then got a oil leak on both camshaft and crankshaft. bought both seal but stil on the crankshaft its still leaks. 1 what can be causing that. and my pulley is shaking when car is idling. was told the oil leak can be cause by main bearing as they are worn out, can that cause that? Please assist with advise

Nice work man love the vids! I recently picked up a mk4 gti and previous owner has done a lot of work to it already ( big turbo, airbags, ect.) just having a hard time with where to start on building it to my taste. ( fellow diy-er) Like what to look out for or what to get into first. Any suggestions?

Depending on how many miles etc id advice forget part instead of cast. Maybe some valves aswell. Mine possibly fail. Also the oil pump is really important.
