Good job on replacing those parts. Rahmenseite steering damper Is actually oem brand. Stabilus and bilstein buys them and put into their own packages and sell them with different price. Same with mb dealer part. Mercedes-Benz don’t make those parts they just order them from rahmenseite put it to their package with mb logo and charge people astronomic numbers. regarding vibrations, I saw you replaced center link, upper control arm etc. but problem is worn and stupid design front lower control arm bushing. It is hydraulic and stupid design. They all have vibration when you drive on highway especially when you apply brake. Solution here would be replace them with new ones. But it’s very hard to install those hydraulic bushing without damaging them( they will start to leak fluid during installation even with proper mb oem installation tool and even if you follow all steps properly according to MB WIS). i damaged 3 original bushings and that’s when you use mb oem installation tool. Another solution would be install aftermarket PSB polyurethane bushings. Don’t waste your money on unnecessary parts.

Wow thank you for information. I have replaced my lower and upper control arms completely. I feel like it’s coming from rotation as it picks up vibration with speed and based on how ruff road is and than it goes away.

@@petescarport you can say that again:) I have done ton of work try to get rid rid of that vibration. Whole front end parts installed new, Yes whole front suspension steering parts etc etc brand new including new brakes, playing with different set of wheels. Turns out problem was with that bushing. I replaced them with PSB polyurethane bushings and problem gone. Watch Viktor from New York, he installs PSB polyurethane on all his customers cars.

@@almaz1280 hmmm. That just doesn’t make sense but I totally believe you since I have read people doing everything to fix issue and nothing worked. Part I’m confused on is what bushings you replaced. I changed out control arms that came with new bushings installed. And yes victor is amazing. I’ve talked to him a few times and appreciate what he does. Thank you for your input as well

What's up man watched your videos on chasing vibrations and as I went thru the videos I realized you sold it😥 but I had a 1996 s320 and I now have a 1999 s320 both cars had that vibration. And something that made it almost undetectable was changing the transmission mount and the drive shaft flex disc. Did the front not the rear. Helped a lot.

Hi! I suffered from a vibration problem for a long time in my w140. I had to change everything but finally after changing the lower control arms solved the problem.

That’s awesome to hear you solved it. I know i will figure mine out. Unfortunately I have already done lower control arms and thought that was my issue.

IF alignment is not correct on these cars, that will also cause vibrations. I finally found a mechanic in Orlando that knows how to correctly work on my car. he re-aligned and vibration is little to none. I originally took to Mercedes and thought all was good cause car went straight down the road. I was told that the alignment was totally wrong and even had a control arm bolt loose!!! My tires started to cup and are chopped up now, so i will have to get new tires soon. Mercedes really screwed the pooch on this one, I have finally found a mechanic i am comfortable with my car now and will be sticking with him from now on.

Amazing cars that scare me and my wallet. So I stick with my c126 SEC, which is still screwing my wallet.

Where all the s420 videos? Anyone know where to look for timing chain replacement diy videos? Every video I see shows work done after the fact. No walk through. Where are all the walk throughs?
