Chris, I was watching Roland Martin yesterday. He’s on a book tour. And I thought about you. I believe that you are in a better place than where you were before you left mainstream media. Roland said that when he was working for CNN part time that he would not give up his freedom working other networks such as ONE TV, because he knew that he had freedom there. Congratulations Chris! You have been set free! I know it’s uncomfortable, but I believe that you can make this out of whatever you want media to be like! Independent media and journalism is where it’s at dude and you have both the talent and experience! Work the system! Better yet disrupt it!

Im a worrier by nature. As they say “ it must be working because the things I worry about never happen”. My worry spans all of it ( kids, work, health and safety of those I love and myself). It’s my biggest challenge throughout my life. There is a “bracing myself” element but not sure that’s at the root.

OMG i’m crying uncontrollably when you said, I wish i could live differently I wish i could feel differently. Chris thank you and I feel so relieved to know that so many of us, including you are in the same mindset, just different bodies. I will run different thoughts through my head and those thoughts just keep repeating itsself over and over again. Drives me crazy things that I want to do to better my life I tell myself I’m going to do it, but something stops me every time from taking the action I worry about things, but don’t exist in the moment if I take this one action to better my life, I ask myself. What if this goes wrong the fear of failing over powers that will to take action. I always been like this. But never said anything until now I care what people think oh he’s weak. Oh, he doesn’t have what it takes, etc. I can’t express how better I feel knowing that you are the same as me and millions of others thank you Chris please keep going with these talks.

My issue is overthinking everything to the point I won’t attempt something b/c I don’t want to fail again. The thought of failing literally will stop me in my tracks. Mentally paralyzed. I’ve been trying to deal with it for a couple of years now. When my kids were young, I didn’t think about anything, I just did what I needed to be done, stayed positive for them. As a single mom, it was all about them. Now, they are 25 and 30 years old, very successful at their chosen professions, and so positive. Nothing can or will stop them, and here I am wishing I had that kind of strength again. It’s so damn frustrating. I know you probably won’t see or read this, but I just had to get my truth out there in the universe.

I don't see it as "worrying" but about thinking about the most likely outcomes and being prepared for them. Yes, Chris I agree, I don't like being surprised because I'm not ready for that situation. People tell me that I overthink things but I am prepared for most outcomes and deal with it better than those who aren't prepared.

Happy Sunday morning, Chris 🌞 I have always been a worrier my whole life. It has been responsible for a lot of my anxiety. And when I do screw up, man, I feel like total crap and beat myself up for the longest time. I really have to learn to change that way of thinking, because it's very detrimental to myself. When a mass was found in my left breast in May 2012, I pretty much knew before I got the results of my biopsy that it was cancer. It wasn't a shock, but I still freaked out and screamed and cried. After a week of trying to accept that I had breast cancer, then I got myself together and came up with a plan to just get it together and do what I had to do to get rid of it and tell the cancer to take a hike !!! I faced chemo, surgery, and radiation, took it one step at a time. I beat it. But it's still a part of my life. I do worry about recurrence. I try not to let it consume me. But honestly, it's very difficult, Chris. I do try really hard every day to live a better life. As far as mental health, I have no shame about calling it just that. Yes, there is still an ugly stigma attached to it. Hopefully one day, that stigma will be less and less. I do like the phrase "general state of well being", because it encompasses all aspects of health. I think the stronger person admits that they need help and then seeks it. For years, I wouldn't even hear of putting any antidepressants into my body. But back in September, I decided to take that step and take the medication already, because I knew without it, I would never have a chance of getting better. Honestly, it hasn't been a magic pill. It takes work, but I continue to chip away at it every day. Yes, I still do worry. I think for me, when I worry, executing a plan of action is better than sitting around and worrying. And you're right, Chris, what works for you may not work for everyone. But I do really appreciate how you share these talks with us. I really appreciate you, Chris, for everything that you bring to us. You keep it real always! I hope I didn't bore you too much with my novel this morning!!! Lol! Much ❤️ from Arizona

We all worry about things not going our way as a defense mechanism, a way of not being as disappointed if something we want doesn’t happen. I try to live by the philosophy that if something is truly meant to be it will happen. I have found that things have a way of working out. It may look like one door has been closed, but another door always opens. It doesn’t happen at the same time, but if “you” stay the course you will be more at peace with life. Peace, prosperity and optimism are the themes of the Chinese New Year today! It’s the year of the rabbit and represents Spring time and new beginnings.🐇

Hi Chris - Great show...love watching these videos as do I with your news show as well!! A huge fan!! So, hearing you say you want to find another way to refer to one's "mental health", how about "emotional wellbeing". Not sure if that captures what you are looking to capture but just a thought. Also, I am so glad you are back in the public eye...was truly so upset when your show got cancelled and really felt for you when CNN did what they did!!! I so looked forward to your show every night and did not think it was handled fairly nor did you deserve what you were dealt. Seems you have really worked hard to deal with the repercussions and to better yourself so you could move forward. Great job and so glad you are back!!!! Many things about ourselves can be conflicting, and true at the same time. Trying to mold ourselves into the perfect automaton is an ephemeral destination. Negative feelings, while internally experienced, do not have to be given the captain’s chair, and rule the nest. Accepting the entire human experience is achievable. Automaton status is not.

During psychology class, we discussed fact versus belief. Most of our life is based on belief. Yes, you've walked that road many times and therefore your belief that the road continues is mostly certain. BUT, something may have happened to that road, since the last time you were there. Very unlikely, because anything major like that would be in the news but still possible. Therefore you BELIEVE the road is there. It cannot be a fact until you walk over the hill and actually see it. The example we were given - you park your car on the road and go into a building where you no longer see it. You believe it is still there. That is not a fact because someone may have stolen it. It only becomes a fact when you're with the car. Our belief drives our view of our reality. Hence, my reality is different to yours but that's alright, as neither of them are 100% factual.

Chris, don’t be so hard on yourself. Seriously! We all struggle with our selves. Life isn’t easy. However people such as yourself and myself, get overwhelmed. I don’t struggle with eating right or weight issues, I do struggle with so many other issues though. I say.. I will not overthink today. I have ADHD, OCD and MS. That’s my issues. Some anyway. Everything has to go perfectly. Everything! I guess I struggle just like everyone else. I talk to God a lot. Who knows me better. It works. Still Chris be kinder and gentler with yourself. ♥️🎵

Neuroscience teaches us that our mental potential is developed in a 10 per cent. But if that small percentage is used to think things are gonna to occur against your interests is likely occur. Budism teaches us as the Greeks did, is better to deal when thing happens. Planning using your energy just for the opposite to make good things happen even the most quotidian ones. Be surrounded by good energy. Less materialism. Moderation as Seneca teaches us. By the way, I love Broke Shields-. Thanks Chris:)

You are FAR from ill-fated! It's not because I am a big fan of yours, it's just in your head. We all have ups and downs. It's just how you handle the situation and worrying about something will never change who you are and where the path of your life should go. I say, let it go, and let it be and your future will take its course as it should. I don't agree with all the plans because those become your expectations, which causes you to be disappointed with the outcome that YOU alone have created in your head. You mentioned the serenity prayer...it works and did you ever attend an AA meeting? That really works! It gets right to the core of who you are and you can go to meetings in NYC with other men like you. My 90 days were in NYC with a bunch of strangers, but I had to do it and I was doing the Landmark (another good way to realize that the CHOICE is all yours!) Forum. I want the best for you because you are a great person with a big heart, you are real like no one else and not to mention the best reporter and again, let it go, let GOD and for goodness sakes find the best in you. We love you.

Your puzzle is coming together from what I see and hear. I'm going to give you an idea of what you enlightened to me as to how my world may look to others - multitasking they will use against me perhaps but it makes no difference to an Apex predator. I have several puzzles that I've taken upon myself, they each are of varying puzzle pieces and therefore sizes. I don't like people marching into my home and just starting to put the puzzle together because I like watching it come together, the experience, the lessons, the final picture as I lived it. Then there is my puzzle, the ultimate puzzle, the one I walk with God which makes me realize that sometimes, perhaps, they were allowed to place a puzzle piece because I stopped relying on Him enough. So, I back off, back down, and look for Him. 2 Peter 1:5-8. (Son of Man, this is where you come in as the one that was born first with God - knowing when to step in and save me from myself and knowing you are not the only man with good ideas.) The puzzle I have with Him extends beyond my dog box, my apartment, it could cover the entire world if he wants me to go there - worry, fear, excitement, freedom, reality, discipline. So, the ground becomes a giant puzzle - Matthew 7:21-29. Pieces from heaven, good ideas, help me find the next solid step - remember Indian Jones? Do you not accept that piece of the puzzle because of a bias? No, at least I don't but this confuses those who feel shunned by me because of what has occurred between me and them or people like them. Relationship building is not a checklist, yet our society has championed the women who, forgive me, the women who win men like you and how women like me get to wear the sin of us. My ability to accept one good idea, say from LGBTQ, does not mean they become a part of my family. They merely had one good idea that worked for me and I'm not asking them to string a bunch of good ideas together for me wrapped up in a pretty little bow. I'm asking them to set themselves free, and be thankful for the gift of being cherished for one good decision. Go make another one, for yourself, and I may learn something else new but do not sit there and situate your head on backwards looking to see if I'll give you a round of applause - more likely you will be kissing your ass goodbye, because I do love myself that much more than you.

I do not consider myself a worrier- I see my strategy as considering and calculating out where I would/will be should the "not desired" outcome come to be reality, digesting and logging those thoughts and feelings as true potentials. Some of these concerns are truly unavoidable (i.e. losing loved ones), but when they do come to pass, the emotional preparation allows these instances to be more stable experiences. I guess it's a form or pre-acceptance.

Rich? Maybe, just enough for NOT depending on a man, just the idea of waiting for a man to chew so I can eat? Yikes, no thanks, not with experiences I had. I’ll be dead by now 😆 😂

Chris love you to death. Loved the very first metaphor in the beginning about the hill. But after that you lost me, thinking way too hard and dramatizing about somethings that never happened. Take your belief in God and your faith and put it in His hands and believe it to be true and you will find the truth and be rewarded for your faith. Believe me it works,♥️🙏

Is it worry or a feeling of powerlessness to change the inevitable?
