This is a ballsy move and the powers that be are pushing their chips to the center. There's no doubt Bobby can coach some offense let's hope we can get the players necessary to execute. I thought the stadium would be empty next year but with Bobby coming back people are going to want to come and watch including me. For the FUTURE, I'd like to see Bobby make a short trip over to Fayetteville high and talk to Drake Lindsay. The kid is very similar to Ryan mallett. Big, Cannon arm and can really throw it. Let's make him a Razorback!

I have said that Petrino should never have been fired. There were numerous "punishments" that could have taken place without letting him go. No matter what happens next year, I look to see Ark. bounce back a lot quicker than they would if another OC was brought in.

I am still kind of speechless about this. Wow. Did NOT see that coming.Then man has issues, no doubt about it, but damn, shall we just go back to 2010-11: 21-5, Sugar, Cotton, #12 and #5 in the final poll--and 2011 is the ONLY year we have finished in the top 10 since we joined the frickin' SEC. If Bobby Petrino is such an offensive genius why did his A&M offense rank 8th in the SEC this year with talent and depth that is superior to what Arkansas has?? Yes Petrino was really good when he was at Arkansas before but football is an evolving sport. I say time has passed Petrino by. A&M looked fine on offense in the first half against LSU. After both teams made adjustments at the half A&M got spanked in the second half. Coaching staffs make adjustments at the half and Petrino and A&M failed at making adjustments and after having a 3 point lead at the half got outscored 28-13 in the second half. Let me be the first to say hiring Petrino is as big a mistake as hiring Dan Enos was.

I’m hopeful, much more now than before. No doubt this has been a jolt through the fan base. The disappointment of this season was a little bit that we lost several games we expected to win but more than that we just seemed to quit in some games. Or just never got started and were pummeled like a toad smushed on the pavement. That’s not a characteristic fans expect or can tolerate. Pittman bringing in petrino signals we are taking serious steps to address that problem.

Little known fact Bobby Petrino has a minor in mathematics meaning he has taken calculus 1 2 and 3, differential equations, linear algebra and probably one or two other math electives. You won't find a lot of coaches who can pass those classes LOL

Mixed feelings on Petrino hiring. I was taking a nap and checked my phone when I woke up. I saw the news and thought I was still dreaming. I had to do a double take to make sure I wasn’t. Character aside, the hire is a decent one with his success and what Arkansas would like to do opening the field. If he has control over playcalling (he probably will) then I think that there may be opportunities to see success. Petrino can be a good coach. The elephant in the room is the sustainability of this, and how his character is going to play out in the locker room. One thing about Petrino is that discipline is paramount to him. He is not a players coach, but he can still get the best out of guys. Pittman is a really compassionate coach and I am curious how those two personalities clash. There are so many concerns with character that the fans will be weary of. That’s going to be a constant until there are some Ws in the win column. I believe everyone deserves paths to redemption. Mercy is a virtue. I hope this turns out well for Arkansas. Maybe a full circle moment is due for the school.
