When I was in school for graphic design, my go to for color was white, black and red. It appeared so much it looked like it never failed, and was the only time a color could be as saturated as possible without me hating it. Beyond that fashion was about contrast. Light/Dark, thick/thin, tight/loose, big/small, reflective/flat, complementary/analogous, plain/accents, but then just layers. I'm not a fashion person. Quick question do you think tone on tone is better or worse than tone in tone. And personally as an art fan, I consider skin as part of the 3 color rule, so no shorts with layers. Lastly, should of the 3 colors, would it be bad if the 3rd color and the point have the same saturation. It seems like it'd be confusing on what's matching unless it's a hat you can remove.

From someone who have been into fashion for the past 10 years, these advices are fantastic and fundamental. I see a lot of comments about "nothing beats getting into shape". Now that is very true, but these tips Wanhee is providing will elevate your appearance and confidence no matter what your body shape currently is.

facts. it's like martial arts. a tall buff guy with no martial arts skills can get taken down by a smaller guy with great martial arts skills. a fat guy can definitely be more fashionable than an in shape guy. however, a tall buff guy with great martial arts skills likely can't be taken down by a smaller guy even with tremendous skill. so yes, becoming fashionable and getting in shape is the tall buff guy up to with great martial arts skill but you can still beat out all the normies who don't make the errort.

Fashion in Korea is mostly simple yet well put together, what makes Koreans stand out is that they are always well groomed, hair is always on point, they are clean and then they are all contrasty, very black hair, eyes and eyebrows with fairer skin (either naturally or due to products) this, with their extremely common use of black and white creates very balanced yet sophisticated looks, they often throw an accessory like a cap. However, outside this there isn't much, you then have the dressier ones which are, again, simple but clean, it is not all that common to find Koreans outside the norm because they are a very homogenous society where standing out from the crowd is not good. Women obviously have more choice and they add more dresses in warmer months. Another important thing about Korean style is that they are mostly thin and their clothes either fit or are bulky, whichever style they use they balance it well, for example, a ton of young people wear bulky pants/tshirts but they add bulky/clunky showes and a cap and it looks quite nice because it is matching. However, if you look at their progression, after age 30-35 most Koreans downgrade quite a bit, typically post marriage when they have a baby, they often wear more comfortable and dressed down like sweat pants and regular sneakers for comfort then, at around 45+ is when the golf gear comes in, specially women and then it is just a mess of colour and weirdness with the same gold hats that look ridiculous plus colorful sneakers, that is a total no fucks given but because everyone does it they don't stand out if that makes sense. Not that many people remain elegant and many people go very casual as well if they don't have office work without putting much attention, just sticking to black and white. Outside Seoul people care less about style or have less money for that but in Seoul there is a ton of competence, specially between, say, 26-32 when they enter the work force, have more money and can buy Guccis and Louis Vuittons (which is crazy over there)

Good tips for certain, but I'm always vexed by this topic because unlike the aesthetics of a good physique, clothes trend more subjective (imo). Fashion trends ebb and flow wildly and it can be a real bore trying to appease society's "right way to dress". Ultimately I think there's some basics and classic looks to memorize and your video certainly helps in that regard.

Does the phrase "clothes makes the man" not ring a bell? You can have a 10/10 body, but if you dress sloppily and have a bad posture people will still perceive you as lazy, likewise if you have a regular body but dress well and have a good posture people are more likely to appreciate you because you have self-respect. It all boils down to how you carry yourself, not how your body looks like.

Most of these concepts can be drawn back to mens suiting practices you can read in style books from 100+ years ago. - color tone matching and contrasting with trousers jackets and shirts, military uniforms - Outfit accentuations like pocket squares, tie bars, cufflinks, gold/pearl buttons, fabric textures and patterns - Sprezzatura, the art of looking natural and not too polished. Wearing too many colors is a universal rule, similar to wearing conflicting patterns. I do like the point system though. I also like when people understand trends but slightly customize your look to avoid looking like another NPC wearing the same thing as everyone. Thats what I do. Always have your own taste and personality in your style. Great video!

As I feel this was absolute awesome and legit fashion advice video I'll say one thing that was constantly on my mind the whole video. I think your videos will gain a lot from color correcting, right now they look like logarithmic raw color, very washed out, going through a bit of color correction might make your video really pop. This was even more accentuated by the professional fashion photos and videos you were showing as examples of fits. Once again awesome video just that thing called my attention.

I've spent a lot of time in Korea and one thing I notice, although I had never heard the terms until this video, is that a lot of people struggle with the 꾸꾸꾸 vs 꾸안꾸. I see a lot of 꾸꾸꾸 on the streets of Seoul and since Covid a lot of 꾸안꾸 but not a lot of people that can tread the fine line between the two. Don't get me wrong, it's hard to get right and there are a lot of Koreans that look fantastic, but that effortless "je ne sais quoi" quality can be hard to find in Korea. I have to hand it to them though to have invented these concepts that help people put together looks. It really does show.
