So. The custodians actually DID run around basically naked. In early editions, after big E plopped down on the golden throne, his custodians got super depressed, refused to leave the imperial palace, and refused to touch their war gear our of shame. TTS didn't make it up, that (was) totally canon.

@@akumaking1 My theory was GW started changing stuff specifically to differentiate real canon from the most popular fan work at the time. The first thing they did was retcon the Guilliman's lifesupport thing. Though I appreciate that ressurrecting Guilliman actually did involve cutting off his life support, like Emps ordered. I don't know of anyone being forced. But a lawyer GW has on retainer might've chimed in and said "hey, there's an unoffical group doing more transformative work on your IP than you are, maybe get ahead of the curve before they have a legal claim to an IP they never licensed."

On the cog whisperer thing In the book trilogy that I don't remember the name of, but the first book is Priests of Mars, there is a character that is a menial on an Ark Mechanicus, and at a few points he unintentionally does what is essentially miracles. My best remembered one is a point where he fires a broken plasma pistol with neither ammunition or a power cell, something that is made very clear should have been impossible. It's also revealed that there is an entire order within the Adeptus Mechanicus dedicated to finding people like this menial, who can just perform miraculous things with machines.

The Pillarstodes were a reference to old lore about how Custodes swore off their gold armour in mourning of their failure in preventing the Emperor from, y'know. So for the longest time, Custodes meant these buff guys in the Imperial Palace wearing black cloaks and leather thongs.

Bit disappointed with your cop-out over the Ian Watson novels. Sure, the Inquisitor Trilogy is the product of a VERY loose brief and a man having a mental health crisis, but you REALLY should read Space Marine, given your love of Marines and lack of experience around the old Rogue Trader stuff. I genuinely think you'd get a kick out of comparing and contrasting the journey from recruit to Marine Veteran back then as compared to now.

@@Psyker_Unredactus Okay just for you. So if you remember the weird shit involving Rogue Trader, you can probably blame alot of it on Ian Watson, and i'm talking about REALLY weird shit. For example, Ian Watson is the one who wrote that the Imperial Fists spread shit on their food in order to test their super digestive system or whatever (Correct me if i'm wrong on this one), he wrote a tentacle rape scene on a Callidus Assassin, a description of another Callidus Assassin named "Mother Gullet" who vore-d a child (I WISH I WAS FUCKING JOKING) of a noble in order to have some leverage against them, weirdly sexual dialogue for almost half a 40k novel, aswell as just really mid writing. I have seen or heard nothing on the novel "Space Marine" that he wrote, but the writing style for "Inquisitor" was just terrible, and I can see why it was his last novel for GW.

21:00 in the book Titandeath (towards end of the HH series and into SoT) There is an Archmagos i believe that serves as the interpreter, I can't remember if they use the term cog-whisperer but, the interpreter for the machine spirit of titans. It does point out that his whole figure has spider like feet that end in rounded tips lined with rubber so as to make absolutely no disturbance so he doesn't miss the most minute or small detail in the titans' "demeanor". jus thought it was cool

There was a wacky theory bouncing around, circa Third Edition, that the Tyranids were created by a C’tan known as the Outsider. The Outsider was driven out of the galaxy by the other C’tan at around the close of the War in Heaven, and the Outsider developed the Tyranid Hive Mind and loosed them on the galaxy as his revenge. Just like the Necons were the perfect weapons, so were the Tyranids. All of this is massively outdated now, but it was a personal favorite theory of mine back in those days.

The Sanguinor is Azkaellon, founder of the Sanguinary Guard, this has been known for years, it should be way higher up the iceberg like tier 2 or something, his identity isn't a secret, Azkaellon is likely the same kinda being as Celestine now seeing as there seems to be a whole "Emperor's Realm" in some little pocket of the Warp now and Imperial Demons if you wanna use that name are basically all but confirmed to exist Also if Genghis Khan became a Demon Prince but yet Be'lakor exists and is said to be the first of ALL demon princes is there any speculation on who his human identity could be like someone even older and possibly more evil than Genghis?
