Another interesting lore revelation in Dittophobia is the confirmation of Sister Location’s placement in the timelines. Rory has been in the experiments for 10 years. Thanks to SL we know that the experiments started in 1983 at the earliest (remember the password we use to see the FNaF 4 house which is called an “observation rooms”) In Dittophobia the FunTimes are still normal and not part of Ennard in 1993 (1983 + 10= 1993) and we know FNaF 1 happened in 1993, so this means Ennard wasn’t created at the time of FNaF 1, so the events of SL still haven’t happened in 1993, confirming FNaF SL takes place after FNaF 1

My personal belief is from another theory ive heard about: CC is the one that went through the experiment. Itd make sense since he seems to be around the age range that William experiments on (Rory was 7 when he was taken, i will go into depth about ccs age if i have to), plus hed be of easy access to William to just take and drop in those chambers. I dont understand why he wouldnt, since william doesnt really seem to care about any of his kids; probably neglecting Michael, and canonly abusing Elizabeth, physically and emotionally. CC couldve also very likely been the first child to be subjected to these experiments, inspiring William to experiment and take other kids after CC died. Plus, CC going through these experiments could be the single-handed reason why he was terrified of animatronics. Theres not really any solid ideas other than that why cc couldve been so afraid of animatronics. And then after CC died in the bite of 83, William couldve taken his remnant and put it into the scooper, plus any other kids' remnant as well, if he truly did experiment on more than just cc. This would explain where the remnant from the scooper came from. Then, when Michael came along in sister location, he obviously got scooped, and that remnant, which holds memories, was injected into his body, not only keeping his consiousness in his corpse body, but also including the memories of cc and the other dead children that were possibly experimented on. So then, Michael would have nightmares about being a kid going through the experiments, since his body now contains memory of CC and the other children. The hospital equipment would be there cause its his own memories mixing with the memory from the remnant. It would also kinda fit since hed be going through CC's memories, and see the hopsital equipment and vase from cc's death. Itd also match with the logbook, because the question he drew nightmare fredbear under was about dreams, not real life hallucinations or an experiment. I personally believe that all the nights we play and see the hospital equipment or any other easter eggs, we play as Michael dreaming, whilst the normal nights, we play as cc.

The "Gas" might explain the main game of Security Breach's endings all showing up in Ruin, they all happened (or are made to look like they happened) as the Gas also seems to have a the effect of preventing long term memories from forming, allowing someone to "reset" the scenario by erasing Freddy's Memories, and repairing the others if needed (Also explaining the rapid pace at which the Glamrock's shells dirty and crack over the course of the "Night").

I think midnight motorist is stretching it, considering how strongly this book describes both fnaf 4 and sister location, but only says his parents sucked and he ran away, as well as from what I’ve hear, the father is described as distended or never home not abusive, and I think the mother is described as a neat freak, which doesn’t match either of the parents. Mustered Man also said he “ran off to that place *AGAIN”* implying this happens often, which doesn’t match up with what we see in the story whatsoever. Also it just says that the first half of the entire mini-game is basically pointless as only the *kid who runs away part* matters.

After FNaF 4's release, Scott had apparently planned to update the game to make the secret box openable if the fanbase had collectively solved enough of the at-the-time lore within a specific timespan. As we know now, that didn't happen, and things like the Sister Location easter eggs and Midnight Motorist could've very well been possible attempts to say "hey, this is what happened" as the series continued and the lore evolved.

I remember my friend dming me about this story and I’m honestly shocked we actually got a concrete explanation to something OLD in the series given people keep saying “1-6 era is over” but apart from the point made with the mimic being a agony induced animatronic, it seems Scott wants to still address older things. And I think that’s fine to keep to book lore compared to the other stuff. (Still mix we didn’t know about mimic or any other significant stuff to the pizzaplex at all until the books…) Though I do got one major thing to add onto all this: While it’s fine to still believe FNAF4 is CC’s perspective as originally it was LIKELY his-it’s definitely noteworthy fnaf4 was probably retcon which is why the nightmares lacked explanations because they were just “in a dream” before dream theory sparked controversy-I think the factor of Rory seemingly regressing back to thinking he’s a child when he inhales the gas could cover up how we could play as Michael in FNAF4. The side effect of the gas is not just hallucinations but you THINK your a child, making it easier to succumb to the influence. I can very much by Michael being tortured by William post-4 for CC’s death, especially because I think Fredbear being the only animatronic to appear on night 5 is to signify Michaels in his last bit of suffering for what he did to his brother despite it being a accident. (Because outside of the dream context it doesn’t make sense why CC would only start to see Fredbear on night 5 if William is conducting all this- like did he know the bite was gonna happen so ensured Michael would do it or did he save just Fredbear for the final night of experiments just to have CC be tortured and scared of his favorite animatronic? I also just believe the fnaf 4 nights and the fnaf 4 mini games happen at different points in the timeline, given fnaf 3 did that approach) There’s a lot to really dissect about this and apply to other things now but I thought I’d put that one out there as this story simultaneously resolved a lot of things but open the door for any theory to possible.

These revelations not only solve FNAF 4, but also changes the timeline, confirming that SL takes place after FNAF 1, which also changes Michael as a character. If he wasn’t killed before hand and then resurrected, maybe he wasn’t looking for William and trying to undo the harm that his father inflicted on the murdered children in FNAF 1. He may not have cared about any of that until after SL and going into PS. At least that’s what I think now but I could be wrong.

The Security/Survival Logbook also suggests that SL happens after FNaF 1, as according to it, Mike took his first Freddy's job for free pizza vouchers, and the logbook itself seems to be FNaF 1 era - so the Funtimes do _exist_ by FNaF 1, but Michael may not have encountered them directly yet. He would continue to use the logbook after his week in FNaF 1, hence the Sister Location references like the money and butter baskets.

Anyone ever thought about how the mimic, somehow, was replicated, rebuilt and saw the mci incident and a whole line of supposed mimic 2 endos were scrapped? Doesn't make any narrative sense. I think the staffbot theory helps explain why the mimic is in the pizzaplex. Fazbear entertainment sends out salvage crews to past locations to see if they can find anything. They find the mannequins in the private room, the gas, and the illusion discs. They also find the mimic 1 program and the mimic at edwins factory. Which also includes the mascot costumes. I think they took all the mascot costumes, and put them in the old pizzeria to store them.

Ok but then, if it was William Afton luring the kid outside, why is the father so sure that the kid just escaped, like he supposedly did multiple times before? Also, why would the minigame be called "later that night" in the files? Why would orange guy's car be purple? Why would Scott go out of his way to make orange guy the color he is, which is opposite to purple, as if establishing a connection? Also, the kid very clearly went out on his own, as the animatronic footprints can only be seen in that specific spot as if someone always stays there wearing a suit. I think orange guy's color and the yellow-orange color of the springlock suits are meant to be a hint. William Afton is orange in this minigame because it is meant to establish a connection to the springlock suits of similar color. Because of this, I think Scott was trying to tell us that William had been using the springlock suit to keep the crying child inside his room, hence the suit's footprints in one single place. But because it was raining that day, William couldn't wear any springlock suit, so crying child escaped. Now, why would Michael be protecting crying child? No idea. Also, I think the lump of dirt is Mrs. Afton's grave. It gives William a reason for why he became an alcoholic that ended up killing Charlie (The fnaf 6 poster pretty much indicates that Mrs. Afton is out of the picture, possibly dead and to blame for the Afton family's initial collapse) TL;DR: Mrs. Afton is dead and Orange guy is still William, who uses a springlock suit to keep the crying child inside his room. Midnight Motorist takes place after Charlie's death.

My theory is William was actually experimenting and torturing Michael as a punishment for what he did to CC. Not only does it fit in with the logbook which shows a nightmare fredbear drawing, but also with William’s descent into madness after his sons’ death, hurting Michael because, why would he hurt CC? The only thing that wouldn’t make sense is the logbook saying the game is played by the CC, but it could be referring to the minigames and not the nights themselves.

I mean, he abused and hit Elizabeth so many times in the novels, very possibly neglected Michael, and I personally believe he tortured CC because I think HE was the one that went through the gas experiments But Michael drew Nightmare Fredbear under a question about dreams, which is why I don't think it was him Basically, what I believe is that CC went through the experiments, especially since he was an easy target and most likely the age range that William picked kids to experiment on, 7 year old, or at least around that age (there are many hints towards this). When he died plus any other children William experimented on, William injected their remnant, which holds memory, into the scooper, which is how it could've ever had remnant in it in the first place. Then, Michael came along and got scooped, injecting the remnant full of memories into him, causing him to have dreams of the same experiments the kids and CC went through, which would explain why the nightmare Fredbear drawing is under the question about dreams, and how we see hospital equipment easter eggs: because it's CC/the other kids memories mixing up with his own Again, this is my own belief and I got it from Orton Long Gaming's theory, just in case if you wanted to know more or something

This story to me does explain Midnight Motorist, but not how people have been saying. I think that the animatronic stood outside of the child’s window was a Nightmare animatronic- more specifically, I think it was Nightmare Fredbear. The runaway child was Michael, the unmarked grave is that of the Crying Child, and the drunk driver is William Afton. Nightmare Fredbear is stationed there to keep Mike in his room, and that’s why he draws Nightmare Fredbear in the logbook. The place he runs to during Midnight Motorist, in my opinion, may be the FNaF 4 house, since the breaker map shows it’s a different house from the one in the FNaF 4 minigames (which would be the house in Midnight Motorist under the Afton Family theory). This would mean that Michael is probably running to try and save whoever it is that may be in the FNaF 4 house, and Afton says he will regret it because he may put Mike through the same torture, as hinted by the FNaF 1 phone call playing in reverse as ambience during the game. At least, that’s my crackpot theory. Even if I’m wrong about where Mike’s going, I still think I’m right about the stationed animatronics, since there are no footprints of the animatronic walking away.

It would make sense that hallucinogenic gas would be a starting place for experimentation, as it would better help W.A. to understand perception, possibly leading to the A.R. tech in the modern era games. I wouldn't write off the sound illusion disks completely though, as I would assume they are a bridging point between the gas and A.R. if you follow this line of logic.

We know she never showed up on top of Mr. Burrows and is under the control of an IA Mimic/David corapted Glitch Trap at the Pizzaplex. Charlie Emily is a portegaist/AI. I feel like nothing in the FNAf timeline is secure enough anymore. There's nothing to really hold onto. We have a lot of interactions between things and people that are secure but the main timeline is so fractured its becoming harder and harder to keep interested. Like Security Breach, Help Wanted 2, and Ruin are all linked but where do those connect to the original timeline

But why? Why would William do this. He has no reason to do these experiments until AFTER the Crying Child died. Is William now like that to begin with? The only way this makes sense is that Elizabeth died first to baby, and William began to torture his own son, which also doesn't make sense because he built the funtime animatronics to kill kids which still doesn't make sense as he DOESN'T have the motivation yet. Nothing about his character works until one of his kids died first, and with this new information, this option does not work well anymore. The only way fnaf 4 makes sense is that we ARE playing as the book kid and in fnaf 4 you aren't playing as the Crying Child.

@@burner555 Yeah, I really don't like the way they handle William. I always liked the idea that he didn't start off as evil, I imagined him being a decent guy who got struck with tragedy (CC's death), and started to go downhill from there. Like the "I'll put you back together" line, although delusional, he had good intentions (at first). Just really fucked up means of achieving it. And as time went on, it started to be less about CC and more about himself, and what he could achieve with his experiments, ultimately becoming evil. A la Walter White. It really flattens his character if he was evil from the start, which bothers me.

Recently I’ve been a little confused on who we actually play as in UCN. Mike or William. There is plenty of evidence pointing towards both but what’s notable is The Marionette’s lines. “I’m not afraid of you, not anymore”, “I don’t hate you, but you need to stay out of my way”. These lines are very strange in context if the puppet (or rather Charlie) is speaking to William, because William is the horrible person that took away Charlie’s life. Wouldn’t she hate him? It seems like William is just more of an inconvenience to Charlie. Plus, why would William be up against spring trap and Scraptrap, aka, himself. But you could argue that it’s him up against himself and what he has become or something like that

Since both Springtrap and Scraptrap are present simultaneously, one can assume that neither are real, and thus could be used as mocking images of what William had become in order to torment him. The Marionette seems more intent on saving the lost souls than getting revenge (at least after FNaF 2), if the FNaF 3 minigames are any indication. Thus, she wants William to stay out of her way while she brings peace to the lost souls and otherwise doesn't want to directly concern herself with him, but is still able to take joy in him being unable to cause any more harm if "seeing you powerless is like music to me" is any indication.

@@rad1165 yes I see what you mean but 1. The funtimes thought mike was William, so we assume it was an act of revenge while also finally having a way to get out of there. And 2. The animatronics see the guards as a threat, thus, feeling the need to kill them. But like William let his daughter die to one of his own creations (which arguably was her own fault .-.), let his son bully his younger son, and it is known that canonically, William abused all of his children, and it is safe to assume that he abused his wife too. When the animatronics are possessed by children that were murdered and stuffed, probably confused as to why theyre there, and see anyone tampering with them as a threat

Fazbear fright confirms that UCN is a Williams Nightmare so yes, you play as William, the Nightmares are made thanks to Andrew (Possibly one of the kids that die in the experiments), who made him revive every death with EVERY CREATION or animatronic related to Him, even Himself Also the line About Charlie, it's because she isn't a Murderous soul she isn't "like an Animal" as she describes the other souls in animatronics, she's gentle and cares about other..she probably DONT HATE WILLIAM, but needs her out of her way to free the children Btw: Andrew is Kidface/ the one you should not have Killed

Actually, it was. Scott had the general idea down but ofc Rory as a character didnt exist. In the SL private room. You can see gas canisters in a camera.. indicating this is what Scott had in mind for SL since 2016

Jr's has several cars in its parking lot and there are numerous trees along the path to the house, copy-pasting that one grave a bunch of times and making minor variants shouldn't be too hard. It's not like the graves move and need to be animated.

I think illusion discs are used for AR animatronics cause some emails talk about them being plastic casings and their used differently to make animatronics have different effects on them

I will say that I 100% believe Illusion Disks are in the game timeline. In the story Help Wanted, which is probably in the game timeline, Steve keeps hearing a distinct ringing in his head… only illusion disks do that, not illusion gas.

2:40 Not really relevant, but this part reminds me of an episode from Doctor Who's chapter called The Beast Below. Quote from the wiki, Liz Ten found a star whale and enslaved it (or thought she had; in actuality it volunteered) to form the base of Starship UK. She then wiped her mind so that she would not have to deal with the consequences. Her government slowed down her body clock, keeping her effectively immortal. She thought she was fifty and had been on the throne for ten years, not knowing she always lived the same ten years, always found out the truth about Starship UK at the end of it, and always wiped her mind once more. She also placed this "voting" system throughout the ship and everyone would always choose to forget. Those who didn't were sent below, to feed the star whale. Okay, I get it. But why, oh my fricking god, why is there a phone call from fnaf 1 in fnaf 4? Why is it there? Scott even made a post about how he "didn't fill the game with pointless easter eggs". So why is it there if we are playing as crying child? Nighmare fredbear in logbook pointed straight to Michael in role of protagonist of fnaf 4. He lost his sister and brother to animathronics. Sharp teeth in mouth and stomach. Crying child and Elizabeth. As far as I can remember the only place where some sort of gas was mentioned is the teaser to SL "Closed due to gas leaks". Illusion disks were a little too much to comprehend and now we have an illusion gas. Okay, community will put up with it as well. But...why? Why was it added into the lore? What plotholes it fixes or what questions it answers? This story is "Fazbear frights" in a nutshell.

My only problem i guess with this is that the whole story of fnaf 4 is the first bite and the death of the crying child. While i believe William is a horrible father and probably would put his son through experiments with the fear gas i don't think he would ever murder him. Up till Nightmare i would say that the nights were probably due to fear gas but Nightmare himself is A Nightmare that causes the death of CC. I'm not exactly up to date with fnaf lore so idk if theres anything that contradicts this but of what i know i think this makes sense.

Decent theory, hard disagree with a couple of points. The illusion disc: What was the thing on FT Freddy then? There's no way that was a power nodule, it wasn't actually *connected* to anything. Yes, Hand Unit says that's what it is, but in a game where a main plot point is 'unreliable narration', it's not a stretch to think "hey, that's a lie." Even if it wasn't a disc, it was something other than a power device. Nightmarionne: Scott has said that its presence in 4 wasn't canon. "Fearful reflection" is easily read as "distorted[scary] image", and it's literally a distorted, scary, Puppet. Midnight Motorist: Yeah, no. This one is the weakest by far. The connections made are paper thin, and also cherry picked while ignoring the entire rest of that game. Orange man do be driving a purple car, in the pouring rain, in a minigame internally titled "Later *that* night." Don't mean to sound rude, I just think that a not insignificant amount of confirmation bias is present here.

Seriously? even i got the hint but major theorist didn't, it was already established that William uses illusion discs but also some kind of fear gas, i remember thinking so now Afton is Scarecrow? back when i saw it in the graphic novel but when i saw the gas tanks back in SL i didn't give too much of a thought. I feel the whole group ignored this or assumed (like in my case) it was pretty obvious and yet no one pointed it out
