She-Ra is the #1 show that's been requested in my comments lately for me to react to. I'm excited to dive into Season 1 and see what this story is. I went into watching this very unsure of what to expect but I've been pleasantly surprised.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is an American animated streaming television series developed by Noelle Stevenson and produced by DreamWorks Animation Television. Like the 1985 Filmation series She-Ra: Princess of Power, of which it is a reboot, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power tells the tale of Adora, a teenager who can transform into the heroine She-Ra and leads a group of other magical princesses in a rebellion against the evil Lord Hordak and his Horde.

Entrapta isn't trying to be quirky she is neurodivergent. That's why she can't read situations as easily as others and is extremely focused on her own thing. She is also an absolute sweetheart! Also they assumed she was dead cause everytime the door closes the room gets cleaned with fire and you can see the fire shooting out. Can't wait for you to see season 2^^

She's inconsiderate and a troublemaker. I get that she doesn't mean to be, and I personally forgive her because I think she's hilarious and a great big sweetheart, but none of that changes the stuff the other characters have to deal with because of her actions.

Entrapta is very reckless and seems to act like a child imo and that causes her character to be very unlikeable for me. I get she’s supposed to seem like she’s on the neurodivergent spectrum, they don’t really say that in the show. So her character is just really annoying to me tbh.

Once i realized that she had signs of autism/being on the spectrum i suddenly got her character and loved her since. She’s awkward because she doesn’t understand social cues and norms and has very little experience with being around people and how to act around others. Also the reason she’s often reckless is because people with those mental sets have a tendency to hyper focus on a single issue and are not always able to have room for thought and or other things.

The relationship between Adora and Catra is one of the major things in the story, do not fret...it gets expanded on as the seasons go on. Season 4 and 5 are bloody amazing!

I'm kinda surprised you apparently haven't heard of 80s She-Ra? Fyi, the show you're watching is (very loosely) based off an 80s show of the same name, which was made as a response to the team behind he-man noticing how many girls were fans of their show and wanting to provide said fans with a female action protagonist. So that's where all the 80s vibes in the new show stem from. Also re the whole sailor moon vibe - while sailor moon is one of the most influential and well known of the genre, there's a lot of other similar shows/comics out there. The genre is generally called magical girl and always features one or more characters who use powers that come with a transformation. Other common features are a specific object and/or catch phrase used to trigger the transformation, and a cute creature sidekick (often a magical animal or alien) who teaches and assists the MC(s). There's even magical boy stories out there, though they're less common (eg troll hunters on Netflix).

i think the motivation behind 80s She-Ra was more to sell a lot of toys. There is a reason every princess in the original looked the exact same but with different clothes. So they only had to produce one mold for the majority of the toys.

Catra will always be my favorite character and I can't say why cus spoilers but you should give her a chance and pay attention to the decisions she makes because there is a lot of foreshadowing in this show. Entrapta was actually written to be autistic I believe and she is also one of my favorite characters. She-ra is a reboot of the 80s cartoon She-ra, and in my opinion everything is so much better in the reboot, mainly because of how much representation is put into this show. Mermista has her own ughhh compilation too so she's also one of my favorite characters. This show gets really dark so prepare yourself but I really do love this show with all my heart and I feel you will too.

Season 2 and 3 are basically one season that got split into 2 separate seasons for no reason. Both seasons episode count adds up to one normal season (season 2 has 7 eps and season 3 has 6 which adds up to a Normal seasons 13). I think it would make sense to watch both in one video considering season 2 is literally just set up for season 3 and is kinda boring on its own.

Technically there are five seasons. But it's really four seasons, and what is now called seasons 2 & 3 are just one season of 13 episodes that Netflix split in half for whatever reason, and it really is structured as one season. It really improves watching experience of 'season 2' if you go in knowing that.

She-Ra really tries to to humanize (most of) it's villans and show that they are not evil for evils sake or just hungry for power. She Ra is the type of show that definitely peaks near the later seasons because of the payoff not that the earlier seasons were bad but I feel like they lacked a few things that made the later seasons much better. Also I know said this before but as a request I hope you watch Transformers Animated it such a refreshing take on the franchise even though a certain set of movies might have harmed your views on it.

I was about to post something similar. The first two seasons are a bit of a slow burn, a little too much setup and too many characters introduced but not explored. I enjoy them more now in retrospect, thanks to the payoff of S3 and beyond. But first time viewing, I was a little impatient for the show to get on with it.

Did you not see the the green fire that filled the chamber that Entrapta was in? There was about 0.5 seconds between when we last saw her in that chamber and when it was filled with fire. My guess as to how she survived is that Emily opened up a compartment in her body and yanked Entrapta inside to protect her. Because I don't see Entrapta actually having enough time to get into the the air ducts or whatever and shut them in time to avoid the fire.

I think it was the other way around, as in Entrapta saw a vent and went in and pulled Emily in as well. We do know that she uses the vents to get around later in the episode.

I do agree with the other comment that says seasons 2 & 3 should be watched in 1 video with how short they are. Explanation as to why they thought she was dead (from what I remember. been a while since I saw it ) : Whenever one of those doors closes there's like fire happening that kills everything in there so they thought Entrapta burned to death. However Entrapta was doing her tech thing on the door as it closed so either she escaped through a vent in the room or stopped the fire.

*Intro plays* Netflix: "U wanna skip intro?" Me: "WE'RE GONNA WIN IN THE EEEEND!!!" Netflix: "Ok then..." Edit: Entrapta is not good with people but excited when she gets to talk to them. She can't read situations and therefore is almost unable to make connections. I don't think there is any character I actually dislike in the show (Except for one and that one will be obvious (You'll know who I mean).). But I would say my top 10 are: 1. Catra (God, I just love her story and her development! ... I wanna touch those ears _(°-°)/ ) 2. Mermista (#mood) 3. Adora (Such a loveable dork, though I did have my issues with her at first.) 4. Scorpia (Loveable dork Nr. 2 though she is too pushy when it comes to Catra. But I love her innocence.) 5. Perfuma (HARMONY!!!) 6. Entrapta (I identify so much with her scientific approach towards human behavior. I'm no good with humans either.) 7. Bo (I don't know what it is... But he's a guy with a Bow and Arrow in a world filled with hardcore tech and magic.) 8. Netossa & Spinella (They are one, shush!) 9. Glimmer (Most of the time I enjoy her comments and I just LOVE her voice when she gets angry. Always cracks me up.) 10. Light Hope (She's a delight, most of the time :D )

My wife and I just finished watching all 5 seasons a couple of weeks ago and we loved it! It was so hard not to binge it.
