How long is the pedal from shelter island launch to the bait barge? I calculate 30 mins….😮

That's about right. I have buddies w motors on their yaks so they get bait for me a lot of times. If you launch from Kelloggs beach it's quicker to the bait barge

I only keep threshers and mako so you don't have to prep em as much

@@sandog word thanks for your reply. I caught a two foot mako in pedro but the line broke off The hook was a little bigger then used for rock fish not sure how the sizing works Why is the tresher and mako considered good to eat and not other sharks. Also brother this is my main concern I have but a silver brass black small big coated none coated hooks in a cup of salt water and after a month few and no rust and the few that did were still so strong I coudl;nt break them with pliers. So when er fisherman say the hook will come off do we mean rust off or fall out and considering the fall off if the hook is set which mine was and if its barbed or even not I dont see how the hook will come off anyway hope to hear back thanks

Such a beautiful animal, it was a pleasure to catch and release it unharmed. Great fight on a spinner and ugly stick. 50lb braid 30 floro. Great underwater shot by the master himself, Glenn.
