They should really consider, selling just the case of the Corsair one. I bet it would be a huge hit and they already have the tooling for it.

i said the same thing when i saw it. i wanted the case with the cooling AIOs. but too late, i ended up building a fully water cooled RTX2080/ryzen 2600 system in a node 202.

Abraham Lincoln It’s not the same idea or form factor though, how you got a res.-pump combo in there and a 240 radiator is beyond me. I played with the idea in the rvz03 from silverstone it’s sexier than the node 202 and you can get a slim 240 with fans in there no problemo. It would still be loud and hot, defeats the point.

I think Hardwarecanucks asked the same question back at CES. As I recalled the reason was there are a lot of proprietary parts like the radiators.

Hey Jay, I'd actually like to see you upgrading the graphics card on the corsair one as well. I mean it would be interesting to see what's needed to get a new / better one in there with this weird waterblock and vram fan setup that they've got going on there. A note about what Jay said concerning swapping hardware and motherboards without conflicts: I recently updated from a MSI Z97 motherboard and i5-4690K to an ASUS Prime Z390-A + i7-9700K. Post-update Windows would not recognize my computer as the 'same' device because the motherboard and processor had changed. I tried to reconnect my 'new' device to my Microsoft account to activate Windows, but it failed every time. I managed to get a free Windows 10 Pro code though, thanks to having access to Microsoft Azure with a student e-mail. Besides that Windows BS, I used the same boot drive without re-installing the OS, and I have had zero issues. Eventually I will do a clean Windows install onto my new SSD, but I can't be bothered at the moment! :)

Why not just build a custom water cooled rig in something like the Phanteks Evolv Shift (or Shift X)? The airflow isn't oustanding but it's the same footprint and you can be Jay with the water cooling.

Hey Jay, Love the show. I upgraded my MB on my Corsair One to the same Z390I. I'm looking at upgrading the memory, I would like to keep it Corsair at 2400 or 2666MHZ, but I have no clue what I'm really looking at. Last time I built a PC from scratch was 20 years ago, as a matter of fact that was the last time I was gaming. I don't overclock or anything aggressive. I run some games Star Citizen and Flight Sims. Just looking at a slight upgrade to 64 GB vs 32 GB of the original ram. Can you throw me some love.

Nice work! I wonder if you detach the case from the radiators and you do a pull push on them with corsair fans, what effect on temps will have ? Thank you !

I would still think its nice form factor and cool like little PC. I could never afford to pay that much since I can build my own way cheaper, but still it is very nice. With how ridiculous RAM prices have been I wouldn't knock Corsair for going with a cheaper alternative.

Delid the chip. What else could you do when don't have any options when it comes to the cooler.

For your next video idea you could or can try to set half of the cpu cores to 5.0ghz then the rest at 4.2ghz instead of syncing with all cores at the same speed
