"Where does the dirt go?" Like all great British country houses, Croft Manor was built with a highly sophisticated underground drainage system: Dirty cleaning water soaks into the ground and is collected into vats in the basement, where it sits, allowing much of the larger filth particles to precipitate to the bottom. The liquid is drained off to make soup for the servants on Christmas and St. George's Day; the solids are dried completely and then sold to the local workhouses to fortify the food.
@hannarchy6554 Жыл бұрын
I mean most of it seems to be mold and general filth, old and crusty, crawling on the things that have stayed in place for decades or centuries and depending on them staying that way. So I figured that they just collected them and made them into human shapes and sent them out to become MPs.

@@SolaScientia I've been thinking about getting Unpacking. I loved watching Jane play it and it seems like the kind of slow down and chill game that I could use right now. 🙂
@SolaScientia Жыл бұрын
@@madalice5134 I love it so much. I kid you not when I say I've played it 30-40 times. Yes, it's the same thing each time, but the repetition is soothing. I'm not creative with names, so after naming the first few albums (save files) creatively, I went with the alphabet and just finished my 26th run. I love seeing the character's life change with each year and seeing what stays with her and what is missing with each move. I paid full price for it and it was well worth it to me. Tonight I couldn't decide if I want to brave Dark Souls 3 (specifically the Painted World of Ariandel DLC) or work on clearing the rest of the Research Hall in the Bloodborne DLC. I opted to finish up a run of Unpacking instead. When I want something to do but am not really in the mood for more focused gaming, it's the game I go for. Spiritfarer is another chill game, but with a more developed story, and be prepared for a lot of emotions as things develop. Very few games make me cry, but that one sure did more than once. The platforming does require more focus, particularly with later sections and if you're trying to 100% complete it, but it doesn't require extreme concentration and there's no real punishment if you fail certain parts. You can retry immediately and there's no dying (well, not in the since of deaths in video games).

22:00 FYI, as someone who has a power washer, the water goes onto anything in the vicinity; the hose, the area you cleaned a few minutes ago, you. Mostly you, actually. Wear gumboots/wellies and old clothes. It also takes a ridiculously long time to clean even the smallest area - it might be easier if mine had a supernozzle like the ones you have in the game, but mostly it's like cleaning a floor-to-ceiling mirror with a cotton bud. But a *magic* cotton bud.

At 25:45, they have just discussed having a side-hustle in earwax cleaning. I can attest, having had earwax build up in my ears to the point that it was badly affecting my hearing, that the medical professionals in charge do indeed seem to apply multiple litres of water to each ear in order to clean them. And then I heard extremely well, so, you know, I'd pay at least... Croft Manor cost $400, my ear is about a thousand times smaller than Croft Manor, so, yes, I would give a whole forty cents.

This DLC was fun, though really have to wonder whether the mess was caused by some eldritch horror that Lara unleashed on one of her adventures. Garden maze, obstacle course, and treasure room, each one brought a smile from sheer nostalgia. Then had to laugh at some of the comments that both she and Winston make as you progress. Of course he ends up trapped at the start and has to escape. Then there was a moment where she mentions developing a technique of dodging at corners to stalk a powerwasher that was so sudden it had me checking all the nearby corners for a hint of her.
