Who exactly are the TOs that are banning Hax? If you can find even one of them that has signed that has done something fucked up, then you can point to “well one of you lot has assaulted someone or whatever,” and then you can invalidate all of them for decrying Hax$ but not one of their own. I’m researching the TOs to find a smoking gun at the moment. I’m certain that at least one of them has done something far more fucked up, just have to find the one.

Just remember Hax$ stated he doesn’t want to stream or make videos because he only wants to compete. Meanwhile Leffen is using his platform to harass and destroy the community. Hax$ has my utmost respect because while he can’t be explosive at times, he is also pushing the Melee scene. While he was banned he helped create Melee 1.03, which implements so many more fixes to create a more fair game that relies less on controller differences. He also made the B0XX which is a revolutionary controller. Most other people would just stop and move on from the ban because they don’t see a point of helping a community that pushed them away. Hax$ stayed to push what competitive melee can be. I was never a huge part of the smash community only joining after COVID but from all the drama I’ve seen, it looks like the cause was Leffen. From everything I’ve seen Leffen bred a community of toxicity to get rid of competition to rise to the top. I understand that TO want to follow the bigger influencer to draw in more views but this is too much. Bring back Hax$ and remove Leffen and the melee community and more importantly the smash community will grow.

Just a note on the malicious gossip thing, this especially applies to you if you have a following, respected within the community or have an audience that is also receptive and sides with you whether it's true or not. These people can witch hunt and cause a lot of problems for the person being targeted as well via death threats, harassment both in person at events and online, call the persons place of work to get them fired or harass their family, so I would argue it probably does belong there. Obviously, the actual crime is less than the others, but it can cause just as many problems and shouldn't be taken lightly. Hyped to see Hax$ again though
