Hi there. As to mistakes, there is one. You should have put the batteries on the lowest shelf. I have about the same Victron system as you. I was hit in an accident and the batteries, due to their weight, moved and destroyed the positioning aluminium bracket holding them steady. This is to say that the batteries should be strapped on as tight as possible and placed as low as possible, to avoid them flying around in an accident or on 4x4 terrain. Good luck and regards from Switzerland, Silvano

looking great. question. why have put a ignition live on, I thought the Victron dc-dc auto detects, I haven't got one on mine and its been working fine

Apparently with the crafter the smart alternator can interfere with this and it doesn’t always detect and you can be left with a flat battery. Just a precaution.

From what I’ve been told.

Looks like a well specced set-up for off-grid. I think no gas is the way forward in vans now. You're nearly ready for adventure...

Thanks Steve. Let’s hope so. We are getting there now. Final push before our big adventure!

Hi, great build. Quick question as I’m in a similar position. Did you precharge the inverter as it’s 3Kw? Also how many of the 240v sockets did you wire in to 1 MCB?

No not yet. It’s on my list to do. I’m a little nervous but if we need to update we will.
