As others have said, get suppliers to add the reg number or workshop order number to the packing note. As for the overall system, instead of the white board, have you considered a T Card system? Franchised sales admin people used to use them all the time at least a few years ago. You can colour code and tailor the system to your own processes.

I’m a write it down guy or it’s lost, so I would print the confirmation of the order and put the car registration on it right as you order - that number will always be be on the package somewhere - then Put the reg on the package as it is received. Print 2 copies if you want - one sits in the car until it’s finished and one for the office. Order number - registration right from the start… maybe

Try auto smart bio brisk for smells. Customers often hated any chemical smell inside car from fabric cleaner so we’d use household laundry fluid - car just smells like fresh linen - people carriers customer doesn’t know it’s wet vacced from smell of cleaning stuff

Easier way Dave is give your splitter/grill supplier an order number to put on the delivery paperwork. You could give them the car registration it’s been fitted to make it easier.

@Dave! Just to help you -- consider prepping "selected" cars for the Export market. Both Malta & Cyprus are RHD territories where the cars drive on the left-side of the road such as in England, India, Japan. The Used Car prices here in Cyprus are ridiculously high. You may want to explore partnering exclusively with a Cypriot Car Dealer who can say buy 5-10 cars in one hit, then sending across a Transporter to bring those cars across to Cyprus! May be negotiate transporting them to say 'Dover', the buyer can collect from there (having already Paid you).

love the black trim on the more performance type cars myself, even if it's just the alloys you do and not the whole hog, it still makes them stand out from the chrome ones on the market and would always be my preferred choice, if it makes good business sense then do it

@@cardealerpro 🤣 whatever works! Happy for you if it’s moving! I would say the chrome is the biggest thing people look at as it ages the car. 21 model was the last they did of the chrome. There is so many white with black interior as they are mostly company cars for the tax benefits. Another colour was £1.5k more originally. White interior was about £2k more.
