The problem you had with the coconut cookies was due to the allulose, it softens baked goods and melts at a lower temp than most sugars, retry the recipe. Go back to the original amount of Allulose and add 5 drops of stevia. Lower temp by 25% and increase cook time 10 mins

I tried the lemon bars, with one modification - Ina Garten says if you use the juice, use the zest. So, I zested the lemons before squeezing to get a more lemony flavor. I baked it at 350F for 40 minutes. I did let it cool completely when done and while it was good, it tasted more like flan (egg-forward flavor} and very mild. So I put it in the refrigerator and kind of forgot about it for 2 days. When I pulled it out after it was chilled (and a little desiccated from drying a bit), OMG! The lemon flavor was so strong, and it went from soft jiggly flan to a smooth, creamy cheesecake texture - and there was no egg flavor! I do like eggs, and I do really love flan, but I wanted something different from this dessert. A lesson in patience and avoiding instant gratification.

One great 2 ingredient recipe that comes to mind is Indigo Nili's egg white crepes. It's just egg whites and gelatin, and it makes a great 'crepe' which can be used as a wrap, or sliced thin and used as egg noodles. It's really very versatile.

@judyduran23062 жыл бұрын
You don't need to have the dried egg whites. If you look for her egg white crepes video, it just uses 3 egg whites and a tablespoon of plain gelatin powder. I also add a good pinch of salt. You can use fresh or carton egg whites

I loved your sweet looking dogs. So cute. In all fairness to the third recipe it might have not been as appetizing since you all had had 2 desserts already. It looked good. Maybe just alter since you've done the 3 ingredient recipes. Now you can go outside of those parameters, add some almond flour a bit of sweetner and xanthan gum or Tara gum to less cheese, maybe make a cream cheese filling, and blueberries . I am not an egg fan so think I will try that. Thank you for being brave and trying all and to all of the recipe creators.

for the crepe i think you have to let the cheese cool to make it more firm and easy to work with. it was still bubbling and melty so i think that was the problem. also that would prevent the whipped cream from melting. def let it cool a bit, but not like in the fridge or totally cold...

I can't wait to try to find keto friendly white chocolate chips in Israel to try the lemon brownies. I loved your expression when you tried to cut that last "blintz" for tasting. Love your videos, ladies. As for the coconut cookies, I've made them before using a non-keto recipe and just subbed in straight granulated erythritol and real egg whites and love them. They're easier to work with that way. I just used two spoons to shape them. They don't spread as much with erythritol as they would with the allulose, and they are a little drier, but still very delicious. The erythritol gave them a really nice cool-mouth feel, which I found worked nicely, rather than detracting. Another good thing is that they keep wonderfully in a sealed jar. Mine lasted about 3 weeks, eating 1 a day. How's that for self discipline? I think I'll try the Mounds(TM) bar idea you mentioned. I R A Chocoholic, and bless the inventor of keto friendly 85% dark chocolate chips! On a side note, it was great to see your dogs. A mixed breed Chinese Crested/Terrier pup adopted us when my folks moved to Israel 35 years ago. His name, officially, was Radar (as in O'reilly, from M*A*S*H), due to his ears turning in whatever direction anyone who called his name or any tasty-related sounds were coming from. He was lovingly called Ugly, as well. Cuz he wuz. But the most loveable dog ever. Just one minor quirk - He LOVED diving into and smearing himself in the neighbor's sheep and goat dung piles when he got out of the yard. We miss him dearly.
