@@Dennan Edit: in hindsight, you might've just been joking... but I remember a time when I barely thought about the most obvious of hygienic implications. Sometimes, that time is now, still! So maybe reading this will give someone an epiphany. Only if you scrub the shower with left-over shampoo immediately after having showered. You wouldn't just put shampoo on your body and not scrub before rinsing it off, right? Same thing with cleaning any other surface. Also, lots of water, dirt and shampoo jumps from you to the outer rims of your shower propelled by the sheer force with which the water hits your body. If you don't clean that stuff up, it accumulates and makes the shower grimy over time. Depending on where you live, you also need to clean the drain itself because shampoo won't dissolve the stuff that accumulates in hard-to-reach areas like that, no matter how much you put down the drain. You need the real stuff, especially if you have hard water running through your pipes.

I can relate it’s my turn to take care of my folks since my mom’s having heart problems and my dad is disabled.
