If you live in Powhatan, VA it's actually pronounced the way the lady pronounces it at 2:44 While it may be pronounced Poe-hot-an traditionally by native americans, that's not how to pronounce the county Nobody outside of the Powhatan/Cumberland/Richmond area ever pronounces it correctly

I found this so much fun to watch, some I knew and there were a few from the other end of the state I didn’t. Growing up in Roanoke, when people see it written out they pronounce it Rowanoke. We also get asked if we’re the lost colony a lot. 😊😅 Also yes I think every town, city has a battle or some sort of historical significance in Virginia.
