I just bought a Weatherby in 7mm mag it came from a hunter who used it every season for 20 years it shoots very smooth as if it was new I shoot Federal and Hornady ammo through it very happy I bought it

I just bought the Meateater in.308 caliber. I put a 4x12 Leupold on it and sighted it in. It's VERY accurate. I'm pleased. The recoil is ultra light. I also purchased the muzzle break to see how it shoots. The accuracy is not as good. No need for a muzzle break on a .308 but I thought my grandson might appreciate it since he is only 6 years old!!

How would the muzzle break make it less accurate?

i have a weatherby vanguard in 308 and its a good rifle though when i first was putting rounds through it, the first round of 5 would be very stiff to get out of the mag and into the chamber

Weatherby discontinued the Nosler partition 200 grain.. For me that is a game changer.

Any rifle can shoot any ammo as long as it is of appropriate caliber

8 shot string? If you need more than 3 shots to dispatch your game you need to sit in the corner. Vanguard groups open up after 3.

Wrong. I've killed grizzlies, moose, and caribou with the 300 Win Mag. Never lost an animal. Remember, accuracy is more important than caliber. The 300 Weatherby is superior ballistically but you still have to put the bullet where it counts.
