Full-time wedding photographer here. This one is pretty tame compared to the video: I was shooting an outdoor ceremony at a park where the ground was somewhat uneven. The event company decided to lay a sort of carpet/tarp thing to signify the aisle. As you can imagine, tarp, uneven ground & bridesmaids in heels do not mix well. Somehow, none of the bridesmaids had any issues. Then came the flower girl & ring bearer. Both were like 4 years old. These two wonderful little people were all lined up and ready to go, arms locked and looking super stoked to be doing this! They take one step and immediately eat shit. I felt so bad for laughing (to be fair, the flower girl was the bride's daughter and she lost it too, as did most of the guests) but it was genuinely the funniest thing I have every seen at a ceremony. I was shooting in burst mode so I have this wonderful 4 shot sequence of them hitting the ground and it's just so great.

I shot a wedding where in the contract, which the bride and groom took time to read then signed, stated I was to be the only photographer. This prevents other photographers from getting in my way or being competitive. It allows me to give the bride and groom the best photos possible. Come wedding day, they brought not one but two additional photographers who were constantly in my way and ruined most of my prepared angles. I had to improvise a lot, but it became more like shooting action sports where I had to dodge and weave between spectators or whoever was on the sidelines. Several really good shots were ruined by the other photographers because I couldn’t relocate fast enough in a tiny and cramped church. To top it off, they never paid me for 13 hours of work, and cut off contact with me so I was never able to get them their pictures. Their mailing address was bad because they moved, phone numbers weren’t the same. I think they moved to Puerto Rico temporarily or something. I’m assuming they were sufficiently happy with someone else’s photos. They finally messaged me back on Facebook like two and a half years later, but I had changed computers twice and moved across country, so I couldn’t find the original flash drive or the folder with all the pics. I had a corrupted hard drive that they may have been lost on. I still hadn’t been paid so I didn’t feel too bad saying yeah, I can’t find the pics. If I find them, I guess I’ll send them....

I mentioned the other photographers, I don’t remember their response, something like, oh we just wanted as many angles or the same moment as possible. Also, I really needed the money at the time, so I wasn’t gonna just walk out. I didn’t see the other photographers till the ceremony started because they were initially sitting in the pews (wtf), so I didn’t get the chance to confront them till the reception, at which point the damage was done. Funny thing was, I had another gig on the same day I turned down because this one was going to be higher paying lol. Whoops.

Speaking of weddings, my brother has a friend that he plays hockey with. Now this friend is a cheeky little thing, and this story doesn't surprise me in the slightest. He was dressed up for a fancy party he had to go to with his parents(he was a little kid at this point), in a tux and dress shoes, the whole nine yards. The venue had multiple things going on though- they also had a wedding. This kid decided the adult party he was at was boring, so he snuck his way into the wedding next door and managed to get cake without knowing literally anyone there.

Not a photographer, nor have I ever been married. I was actually the client. It was my 10th birthday party and since mom paid a lot of money for this party, she decided to hire a photographer as well. It started well, I was feeling like I was on a photoshoot to a magazine. The thing is, I was a 10 year old child who just wanted to have fun with my friends in my birthday party, but everytime I was doing something, the photographer approached me to take pics. I started getting angry bc she was stalking me, what has resulted in some nasty pictures. I know she was doing her job, but I cant help but feeling a little angry whenever I see her

Not a photographer, but recently attended a cousin’s wedding. A lot of our family members attended, but when we got to the seats, we weren’t sure where to sit, since everyone was just kinda scattered. Pretty sure the groom’s family was supposed to sit on the right, but where would we go? In the reserve seating, but was it for all of us, since there were a lot of us? No one was there to refer us where to go, so a majority of us sat in the back with my cousin’s college frat buddies, while a few of us sat right behind the reserve seats. Sure enough, the wedding starts, and my uncle, aunt, and other cousin (groom/cousin’s parents and younger sister) sit in the first row of the reserved seats on the right, and we instantly knew we messed up. While the left/bride’s side was full in her reserves, my cousin’s was practically empty except for his small, immediate family, making it look like none of the rest of his family came to anyone who didn’t know us. The one perk was that it gave the photographer’s space and perfect angles to shoot the ceremony.

I had a roommate in college in a similar situation to the bride and groom that knew no one at the wedding. She was not on good terms with her family, likewise the groom wasn’t close to his either, so they just wanted a courthouse wedding. Mommy didn’t like that, and forced them into having a big ceremony and inviting mom’s friends and family. (The bride was not allowed to be walked down the aisle by her father because mom and dad were divorced and hated each other.) Worst of all, the bride was not allowed to invite her friends because it was too expensive, apparently. So, what were we, her best friends to do? Crash the wedding of course. I filled my car with college friends (some in the trunk) and we drove two hours to see our friend get married. The ceremony was only ten minutes long, and the reception was a shit show, but she was elated that we came.

I was very young (6), it was my aunts wedding. I was in a very bad mood and didn't want to be bothered by anyone so I wandered off in the middle of the ceremony somewhere into an isolated area in the courtyard. After a bit of moping my mother soon found me and worriedly asked what was wrong and why I was alone, I refused to look at her or respond, as if she could read my mind (my parents had recently got a divorce and thats why I was in a bad mood) she told me not to worry about the situation and that everything will be fine and to enjoy the ceremony, I still wouldn't budge and stayed put so she just decided stay with me until I felt better, sat on the ground and hug me from behind followed by a kiss on the cheek and an "I love you, my son." At that very moment the photographer (I presume had noticed me wander off and followed for a possible shot) snapped a photo and gave us a copy, It moves me to tears almost whenever I look at the photo and recall every moment again in my mind and am happy the photographer shot the photo (am now 20 years old).

A friend of mine used to officiate weddings, and it was always surprising how many people wanted to be drunk or stoned during the ceremony. When he talks to the couple during planning he expresses that one of his rules is that the couple be sober while entering into a marriage contract. Lot of times people will argue with him about that.

Listening to these reminded me of my best friend's first wedding. She didn't smile in any of the photos (she doesn't smile in pictures anyways) and essentially looked miserable in all her wedding photos. We all teased her asking if she didn't really want to marry him and poking fun. Turns out she didn't, left him for his best friend 3 months later. She did however smile in her wedding photos when she married the best friend this past December. I still think it's hilarious

6:15 My vote's on sending the picture. Maybe with a little explanation behind you taking it. I'm sure they'll understand, and maybe even really love that they got a good picture out of a lame wedding

During my aunt & uncle's outdoor ceremony there were a few birds that were flying around the decorations right above us all and chirping up a storm. It got so annoying that the venue staff came on the scene and used brooms or waving hands to try and shoo them away. The photographer captured the couple's kiss with a perfect mid-jump shot of one of the people working there swatting at a bird in the background. They got the picture printed in a larger size and it proudly hand in their living room.

8:59 actually that doesn’t count as porn. Porn is only counted as images that display sexuality or are meant to cause arousal. Because the girl was just showing her boobs and not doing anything inherently sexual the pics don’t count as porn and the guy was in the clear.

How could that woman in the last story go through that wedding? The best men being drunk is one thing but the man you're suppose to marry?!?!? Hell no! I wouldn't stand for that. Being so drunk you can barely stand and slur through your vows is just uncalled for. That's a Lifetime movie waiting to happen.

I remember I was near tears and melting down to a random guest at a wedding they knew someone and about big issues in my life so opening up to them was because I was cornered I must've looked so depressed, the photographer decided JUST then to take a photo of us and our fake ass smiles I went for a walk and missed the group photos meaning that was the only picture I was in It was my brother's wedding, I felt horrible

Ring bearer snuck over to the head table during dancing and ate the frosting off of everyone’s cake. Nobody stopped him, we were all to busy laughing and taking pictures, I think I had more pictures of that little kiddo eating frosting than I did pictures of the bride and groom dancing.

My aunt is (or was, idk) a wedding photographer and a few years ago, there was a wedding for some friends. Both my Mom and Dad and my Aunt and Uncle knew them since they work/worked for a workout place that our families went to and knew for several years (none of us go anymore so i dont know if they still work there or not)... Nothing bad happened at the wedding... I just wanted to tell u my aunt is/was a wedding photographer.

My friend as his father did my sister's wedding. He came and sat with us, camera on the table, facing me and my other sister. I didn't realize he was recording and he got an almost 10 minute recording of my and my older sister discussing how we would murder and hide the groom's body if he hurt our sister. He also got a pretty good shot of the two kids who got thrown into the chandelier.
