It is such coincidence to see Sasha on this channel! Three years ago her book on insomnia (Effortless sleep) was so helpful on my recovery journey. And after I overcame insomnia (which isn't the right word, as I had no other choice but to completely and honesty surrender trying to fix my sleep and the whole insomnia just fell apart) - I realized that in this life I don't really have control and that realization felt strangely liberating. And since that insomnia case falling apart I started to question all the things I thought were true. After that I found about the non-duality/awakening topic (this summer) because it was just like that micro realization in sleep area but at a scale much much bigger. But I can see how the brain's attempts to protect its beliefs got trickier and uncatchable - I'm still to see through my mind's garbage. Great and profound episode! Thank you!

As I'm listening to this interview, stopped for a moment to check your comment @Alina and this feels like getting a hug of comfort and hope... (have an 18 yr old daughter who's been dealing with ADD, anxiety and insomnia for a while) and I can't stop thinking about ways I can "help" her, support her and be there for her. Will definitely check Sasha's book and finish listening to her experience... Thanks for sharing this! 🙏 ❤️

In therapy, I discovered that my "boredom" appeared anytime there was nothing to hold my attention/interest long enough to keep me from FEELING the hidden & bottled up OCEAN of: low level, unhappy, uncomfortable, negative, shameful, fearful, etc. thoughts & feelings that were deeply embedded somewhere within me due to a very bad/ugly, shame-based childhood/past & would quickly come to the surface ANYTIME there was nothing to block out that OCEAN of unconscious or low level pain & emotional discomfort/stress. Boredom was simply telling me that SOMETHING'S not right in here & needs some HEALING! Therapy helped me recognize what was wrong inside of me & then HOW to heal it. I can still get bored BUT it diminishes when I look for the underlying cause/pain & apply some of my healing tools to the "boredom". It usually goes away quickly. Boredom is simply the unrecognized byproduct of hidden, low level, EVER PRESENT INNER PAIN, that can be felt when there's nothing to keep it HIDDEN.

Thank you for asking Sasha 'why' she was ambivalent about telling her 'story'. In the past I found it infuriating when someone had awoken and suggested that story isn't important but never really stated why. I eventually got over that , but, Sasha's explanation of why telling the story might not even be worth it sits very well with me. I assume it shouldn't matter, but for some reason it really does. I'm really enjoying your interview series and continue to really resonate with some of your guests.

Very helpful interview. Recognizing lots of bits of awakening happening to me. Or that I’m slowly recognizing. I’ve had chats with friends about the very defined subject object relationship in religion ( animism comment). It’s so strong there and very hard to recognize even though there are scriptures that indicate unity with consciousness (when you see me you’ve seen the father…. I and the father are one.. etc)

That’s so weird because I’ve been obsessed with two things for the last 15 years, non-duality, and the law of attraction, they’re just seems to be truth to those but lately, I’m starting to feel like material things have don’t have the same effect on my internal peace that I thought it did. Exactly like she said there’s only one thing that matters and that’s the truth to me which I can only explain right now is a deep connection with what’s real but I have not awoken yet… I try to meditate. I get several massages because that brings me close for some reason.. and then I try to just let go of leaves and attachments, which still consistently arise… Great story

I was doing intense therapy back in the late 70's and got into primal scream unintentionally. The first episode, I wailed in front of a group for 45 minutes. No tears. Just wailing. The kind where your stomach rolls pushing it out. After that, any event that brought up an association to some pain I had repressed, pressure built in the back of my head. Then I knew I had to get back to my apartment so I could let it out. Feeling the pain made it go away. Years later their were kundalini episodes. No at 74 I am still eminently curious about awakening as there seems to be no end to the subtlety. What I basically experience is an okayness. Not bliss. Not ecstasy. Just peace. I tend to think of experiences as messengers. Once you get the message, the bliss does not have to remain. You know, and you know that you know. Trusting the unknown seems to be the only logical and practical approach to life. The benefits of awakening are many. One drawback is that when you live in the present moment all the time, you have to be really conscientious about finishing tasks one starts. If not, when you move to the next thing, the other is completely gone. The past becomes meaningless and so most of it has gone. I can play the role of father and grandfather, but there is no pressure in it because I know they are no more mine than any other children. Peace!

I love it! Resonates so much and challenges me just right. I have that tribalism, even when thinking about your interview partners. Even the word "even" in the last sentence indicates tribalism. Also thank you so much for clarifying why the idealist vs materialist discussion is not the real deal. Makes sense that I lean to idealism right now, but that's just a story, that's not it. Also beautiful to see the authenticity and you commenting on that. strongly held beliefs keep us from being authentic. seems obvious somehow. So nice to recognize "overwhelmed" behavior patterns from Sasha. Kind of gives me validation in my path. That implies there is doubt in me. It's really touching how you put in the "effort" to make your teaching so available/hearable for different people.🥺can't wait to use that momentum to unlearn stuff. wow God give me the power to let those whispy sticky beliefs go. This is a fantastic interview. Everything said in this interview happened to me this summer. That neutral space, animism, all of it. Even the HD, so clear and beautiful. The ego really wanted to call the neutral space boring. Finally what was revealed is that this neutral space is a gap that allows life to evoke what is needed in the moment, like how Angelo described where the words come from. Magic and Mystery occurs in this gap that defies logic. I remember staring at a flower in my front yard and feeling all of life in that moment, and, at the same time the desperate ego is whispering, what are your neighbors thinking? The discussion about examining a belief that you never realized was a belief is profound. Thank you so much Angelo and Sasha. I will listen to this over and over.

It's crazy. I don't know why but I can't stop consuming this kind of content, as well as scientific and philosophical contents all around. It's like a seeking for nothing, and of course I can't help it. I just love to listen to all of this, It just feels as a natural impulse to accumulate as much "fact-knowledge", experiences and points of view as possible, but I don't know why, there's actually no why. I don't even use or recall that information unless it's somehow done naturally in a random conversation.

It’s amazing to see all the knowledge we thought we knew fade away in importance and as a foundation in who we thought we were. Thanks for revealing the “sticky thoughts”, the ones that are just the way it is, it’s just how it is. Great pointers. Thank you Sasha and Angelo!

Very nice interview. I can relate. My mind is, and has always been, trying to understand. Lately i'm getting tired of it because i feel deep down there is nothing to be understood. It's fascinating to see the commonalities between evil on a large scale, like dictatorship, and the personal ego. In the end the drive for control always destroys itself. This is also what comes forward in this interview. The ego wants to understand (in order to control) so badly that it runs into its own limitations and gets seen through.

Another great interview. All beliefs maybe false, but I think beliefs are where we start. There are so many limiting beliefs in us we just accept from conventional consciousness, that we need to reframe to truth. A lot of people need to change their circumstances, so LOA is a step. I know it's not full non duality but the player in the game needs a bit of help along from a lifetime of conventional consciousness. People don't need to rush into 'awakening'. Take your time. Life will still go on.

Excellent, just love all the different awakening stories. This ongoing feeling that I can Know and Understand prior to Being it is so strong here. Can see belief of needing to know is absolutely Fear based. On some level can feel what has seemed the Ground of Being has actually been walking on thick clouds that are beginning to dissolve and feeling lost in space. Blessings to your commitment Angelo and big gratitude to Sasha for such a relatable resonance for this one here.❤
