also just realized the reason King Candy couldn't find them was cause he was not native to their game so wouldn't have any inate knowledge of the diet cola bonus level but vanellope DID. She somehow found out about it by herself and was probably led by intuition because she's meant to be the princess of that game. And the 'feel it in my code' was LITERALLY HER FEELING HER DRIVING CODE. AND from the marquis art, King Candy's car was actually meant to be hers. So he basically tried to kill her with her own car and kind of her own symbol of leadership.

Always by your side Turbo. Always by your side
@laurenaspreyart3 күн бұрын
I honestly think Turbo is underrated as a villain. He terrorised and antagonised a 9 year old girl for 15 years (that’s how old the game is) turning her own world against her and stole everything that was rightfully hers, including her identity and sense of belonging. He gave her the glitch which means she couldn’t even leave to mingle with other outcasts outside her game, so all she’s ever known her whole life is hostility without one person to confide in. He’s very cunning and manipulative, succeeding in diffusing Ralphs aggression using several manipulation tactics like real psychopaths are capable of. He’s very well foreshadowed without it being in your face, unlike other Disney Twist villains who reveal their True Nature out of nowhere and it’s played for shock value only. There’s a lot more to it and maybe he doesn’t quite meet the ranks of Disneys most iconic villains, but I think that’s at least partially based on nostalgia and he definitely deserves more recognition. (And yes, I have just come from Randomalistic’s incredible Turbo analysis video) :)

I was too old to be a video game arcade denizen. The tale of "Wreck-It Ralph" got me interested on the strength of the story. These days, I look at this movie and compare it to current Disney output and wonder what went wrong with Rat City. It is a measure of how clueless The Mouse is by the pancake-flat impact "Wreck-It Ralph 2" generated. Vanellope is/was a "Disney Princess," who didn't act like one, Ralph was a pure soul, along with everyone but "King Candy."

I respect your opinion but I don't get the whole King Candy/Turbo not being dark until the very end of the movie. The guy got two games unplugged (either leaving the residents homeless or dead), took over a little girl's life for 15 years (after failing to kill her), got everyone to relentlessly bully her and claim she shouldn't even exist, tricked Ralph into destroying her cart and their friendship, imprisoned said girl in a creepy clown jail and tried to kill her after she entered the race.
