Useful video, but how do you change the other pipe? I think it is a breather pipe from the tank to down a hole behind the carb. This is the one which has failed on my saw, I've got a replacement part, but I can't see how to replace it short of a total strip-down. Thanks.

I've got the answer to the vent pipe in case anyone else needs to know. No, you don't have to strip it down. The vent pipe exits behind a small plate under the chain-side cover. It's at 1 O'Clock behind the clutch assembly and it's secured by one of the crank case screws which you'll need to remove. You don't need to take the clutch off to do this. It's actually very easy, but not obvious and I couldn't find any advice on this anywhere. I was very close to splitting the crank-case before I spotted it.

@@joechamberlain7441 WOW - I have a similar issue with my vent tube on my 011avt - glad I saw this (ps - nice video)

@@joechamberlain7441 there is some info on the arborist forums. Yeah, the vent line is super easy to replace but with little to no info it is a pain if you run into a tank vent issue and don’t know what to do. The typical run down seems to be, what the hell is this thing, is it an impulse line? What is this tiny screw? Do I have to take off the carb?

Happen to know the sizes of line? I have an 011 AVT and just like the one in your video all the lines are hardened and separated. Doing the lines seems like a day ting task for me but willing to give it a go. Saw is not working so it isn't like I can make it not work more lol thank you
