There is are laws at the state and county level that say's the public has the right to film inside the building. LIA attempted to show it to the supervising officer and they refuse to read it. They are violating constitutional, federal, state and county laws, with this policy. This how democratic cities view the laws. We saw this during the 2020 election with democrats refusing to follow the laws and court orders if doesn't favor them.

@@GoodGuyActivism That is correct. But it seems that none of the others are following through and holding the NYPD accountable, or if they are they're not posting any updates. LIA has posted updates. @@Selena-T629 To be accurate, they have a policy against it, but municipal law has previously been passed that requires them to allow it - but they don't care. They'll arrest people for trespassing, disorderly conduct, etc in spite of it. Hopefully, the lawsuit against the PD won't take too long and the court gets this handled swiftly. If a judge requires them to end the policy and follow the law (which they should) and there is a refusal by the PD, there can be contempt of court charges against the officers which could lead to some criminal charges for failure to obey the court order. Police chiefs/officers who fail to enforce the court order or violate municipal law could be placed under arrest themselves should it go that far.

I was left to face a gang ALONE - AFTER calling the NYPD for backup (a lieutenant pretty much told me, "screw you, you're on your own"). However, in THAT case, his subordinate rolled his eyes, and wanted to help, but felt helpless being under the lieutenant's "training."
