Actor Johnny Depp is suing actress and ex-wife Amber Heard in Fairfax County Circuit Court over a December 2018 op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post describing herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.” His lawyers say he was defamed by the article even though it never mentioned his name.
Depp has denied he ever struck Heard and says she was the abuser in the relationship. Heard has testified about more than a dozen separate instances of physical abuse she says she suffered at Depp’s hands.
Depp also disputed a claim made by Heard that Depp had nothing to do with getting her a role in the superhero blockbuster “Aquaman.” When Heard testified, she was clearly offended by a question from Depp’s lawyers insinuating Depp got her the role.

Anybody else notice after the verdict when Depps team started hugging, Amber's team was just sitting there then her lawyer glances over and sees them all hugging and she immediately gets Amber's team to start hugging. Watch how Amber quickly left the courtroom too, her lawyer said in an interview the first thing Amber said outside the courtroom was how horrible she felt this will be for future abused women......... Her body language is saying something very different. Wouldn't surprise me if Amber had to defend herself against her lawyers outside the courtroom.

‼⁉‼⁉FIVE YEARS?!!? Would we let a man that was as violent as AH was and perjured themselves with horrific claims of DV & SA ever be accepted in a supporting role? I don't think there is any significant audience that will EVER want to see AH act again. We saw enough when she took the stand and it was terrible, both her script and performance. These commentators, or the one unseen one to be more specific, just don’t understand Johnny Depp, it’s not about the money for him ( suggesting that the amount was to small, that he would be disappointed ) I doubt he will even pursue collecting the money awarded, this was about issues far more important than money, and I am so bloody glad he won! ... justice has been served!
