Nezahualcoyotl (1402-1472) may have had a difficult name to pronounce, but his name is full of significance. It means “Hungry Coyote,” and this man’s writings show a spiritual hunger. As a poet and ruler in Mexico before the arrival of the Europeans, he wrote, “Truly the gods, which I worship, are idols of stone that do not speak nor feel. . . . Some very powerful, hidden and unknown god is the creator of the entire universe. He is the only one that can console me in my affliction and help me in such anguish as my heart feels; I want him to be my helper and protection.”

The Cherokee have Ye ho waah, Chaldeans Yahve, Vedic Yahvah, etc. YHWH was always a worldwide God, only some got the message past the antediluvian stories of the old gods or "star people" who are the fallen angels or Watchers. The demigods and giants were their offspring where it's told Odin, Zeus, Indra, etc., mated with human women: the nephilim, rephaim, gibborim, Anakim, etc. They were punished for that and providing esoteric knowledge like Prometheus did and became rulers of the underworld like Osiris by that punishment. Same story just retold and believed differently which is the fallen spiritual influence mostly. Praise Jesus 👏 🙏

My dad used to ask this question antagonistically at the dinner table. He had been frustrated in his faith - raised in an Eastern Orthodox family and culture that avoided thinking about things like this, so in his youth, not being satisfied with the non-snswers or even willingness to engage, he grew hardened. The rest of my family were believers, but he helped me understand that these questions NEED to be engaged. And yet, there is a point where the question becomes an excuse. And so one evening, I (led by the Holy Spirit) said to him "I can't be sure what happens to theose who don't hear - but God is good! If you are concerned, you can take Jesus to these people. The only thing I know right now is that YOU have heard - what will YOU do with Jesus right now?" He never asked that question again, and in fact, I believe that was one of the turning points where God drew my dad back to Himself and continued a miraculous work of santification that went on until he passed away. My dad engaged the church, and his life showed a faith that I had not seen growing up. There was evidence of a life and soul saved, and I am thankful to Jesus for what He did in our family.

@justingary5322 Hi Justin “Other religions don’t equal other truths if they aren’t true”…OK And apparently you conclude that “micro evolution “ is a natural phenomenon but not ‘macro-evolution’. Correct? Reaching such conclusions aren’t necessary nor found in biblical sources …correct? I also read that historical evidence supports what you argue is the true religion….correct? Why is being reasonable and having evidence to reach fact based conclusions important? If one has confidence that ancient texts offer the truth from a real deity shouldn’t that alone be sufficient? I’m agnostic atheist and find that many Christians resist just letting faith be faith. Have you considered just letting faith be the narrow way or the mustard seed? It seems to me that the stumbling blocks of the Greeks include philosophical reasoning and scientific inquiry. How are these endeavors not irrelevant to acquiring supernatural beliefs?

Interesting, the Tanakh shows that when the Mashiach-messiah comes all will know God like the sea covers the earth! Isaiah 11:9 “They shall neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mount, for the earth shall be full of knowledge of the Lord as water covers the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14 “For the earth will be filled with knowledge of the glory of the Lord as water covers the seabed.” Jeremiah 31:34 “No longer will one teach his neighbor or [will] one [teach] his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know Me from their smallest to their greatest-oracle of the Lord-when I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will no longer remember.” Meaning it will not be a long progression, it will just be when that time comes. Also, the Tanakh never shows the Israelites to missonize other people, this is called free will, either come to the One and singular truth, or don’t. This shows that God Himself will make the world know that He is God, and all gods that are below the heaven will fall. 1. Deuteronomy 4:39 (Stone Edition): “You shall know this day and take to your heart that the Lord alone is God in the heavens above and on the earth below; there is no other.” 2. Deuteronomy 32:39 (Stone Edition): “See now that I, I am He, and there is no god with Me. I put to death and I bring to life, I strike, and I will heal, and there is no rescuer from My hand.” 3. 1 Kings 8:23 (Stone Edition): “And he said, ‘Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like You, in heaven above or on the earth below, Who keeps the covenant and lovingkindness with Your servants who walk before You with all their heart.’” 4. Isaiah 44:6 (Stone Edition): “So said the Lord, King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of Hosts: ‘I am the first, and I am the last, and besides Me there is no god.’” 5. Isaiah 45:5 (Stone Edition): “I am the Lord, and there is none else; besides Me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not known Me.” These verses assert the absolute monotheism of the God of Israel, declaring His uniqueness and sovereignty over all other gods and powers that may be worshipped or believed in by different cultures or nations. Psalm 73:25-26 (Stone Edition): “Whom do I have in heaven? And with You I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may pine away, but God is the rock of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 95:3 (Stone Edition): “For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods.” Deuteronomy 10:17 (Stone Edition): “For the Lord your God, He is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awesome God, who does not show favor and does not take bribes.” Jewish theology and law based on the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible), has analyzed the Christian belief in Jesus’ sacrifice for salvation through grace, without adherence to the commandments (mitzvot), is seen as an attempt to bypass the traditional Jewish understanding of righteousness and atonement which is based from what the Hebrew states. How do you bypass something that was never given to you to bypass?

The time for misunderstanding has passed. If he had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin. But now there is no cloak for their sin. No, he wasn't joking but he was speaking to a certain audience at a certain point in time and what he was revealing was God the Father... "God is Light... God is Love... God is Life..." Jesus was the God Revealer of his time and area. He still serves - and beautifully, but he is not revealing God to people on the planet here and now. He was also not joking when he said, "Seek and you will find... Ask and you will receive..." Do that now. Anyone who sincerely wants to know God will have that prayer answered and in a way that is undeniable to the person. Knowledge of God is our birthright. Read Matthew 13:10-17

@@timothya.olmeda7299 Weird that all people with NDE faced Jesus. And those people weren't even Christians. God was talking about the old gods who were not real, just dead stones who asked humans to kill each other. Just because god exists in Christianity like something that's not from this world, doesn't mean it is false. And about which god are you talking? There are a lot of them meanwhile. And what are those checkboxes where Jesus doesn't fit in?
@timothya.olmeda7299
@timothya.olmeda7299 6 ай бұрын
@@I.Kat. Who told you that all people with a near death experience faced the Jesus character at any juncture during the process? Are you relying on testimonies from individuals who are Christian sympathizers? Because every religion makes the same claims without a single shred of evidence other than a made up story, which is either an intentional effort to further their own inherited beliefs or unintentional due to their lack of understanding and knowledge in TaNaKh. As a Christian, you are faced with the fact that Christendom made its foundation based on the claim that Jesus is God in the flesh, and if that is so, then immediately the claims that Jesus is God automatically makes the claim a complete lie. How can we determine this fact? What is God’s own opinion? Exodus 33:20 “But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.” Deuteronomy 34:10 “And there has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord (God) knew face to face..” Exodus 33:21-23 “And God said, “Behold, there is a place by Me where you shall stand on the rock, and while My glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen.” Exodus 33:10-11 “And when all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would rise up and worship, each at his tent door. Thus God used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent.” Yet here you are Kat in the 21st century making claims that suggests that the God of Israel is a liar and a deceiver? Do you have any idea how much trouble you are in today? Because if those people who you ignorantly claim that they saw the Jesus character at any point during their “near death experience” actually saw their “God” they wouldn’t have lived to tell anyone about it according to the God of Israel. Unfortunately Christian, your Christian beliefs came 1,300 years after Torah, a progressive revelation that kept changing and changing in order to justify your own Christian lifestyles. Christendom has over 44,000 different denominations divided amongst themselves, all different opinions,, have caused contradiction and confusion within Christianity. This does not make Christianity true or divine whatsoever. In fact, quite the opposite. Because God’s commandments are eternal. And what is God’s opinion and commandment about creating a new way to God? Deuteronomy 12:32 “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.” Again, 1,300 years later in walks the “New” Twistament and its Jesus agenda. What a conundrum for Christendom‼️ Again, your grand delusion which you have learned in the Christian world is immediately dismantled and dismissed. Case closed.

What’s stopping some people is compassion for others which isn’t what they find in the various Christian doctrines of heaven and hell. What’s stopping some people is the abuse they’ve experienced. What stopping some people is a cultural background that inspires devotion to the people and traditions they’ve been indoctrinated to believe just as many Christians have been indoctrinated within a Christian community. And sincere, honest, regular person may have understandable reasons to not believe that our self awareness survives death…right? If Christian beliefs have been of benefit to you it makes sense to encourage similar practices in others, but many find other life choices more relevant and beneficial to them.

I immediately realised, that it is Him, whom I fehlt in my heart during my childhood. It took another 11 years to fully accept , to repent and fully embrace Him. My whole Life changed. Thank you so much for that prayer at the end of the video. I was raised atheist, and became interested in faith after a personal experience in December of last year. Your videos, along with the recent resurgence in discussing issues of faith with people like Jordan Peterson, Alex O’Connor, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, George Janko, and Cliff Knechtle have given me an entirely new understanding of religion and faith. The way you phrased it at the end of the video really spoke to me. “Choose whom you will serve today.” We’re all living in service of something, be it an ideology, a goal, a lifestyle, or a person. I’m still agnostic about some of the big questions, but after reading the gospels, I cannot think of anything or anyone more worthy of living in service to than Jesus. I can wake up today and make it my goal to serve Jesus and humbly attempt to follow in his footsteps.

So service to a man? And not God? How is it logical to say a man is greater than the creator? See I am a Jew, I read Hebrew, I read Tanakh, and there is no Jesus or Yeshua in it. Exodus 20:4-5 (Stone Edition): “You shall not make for yourself a graven image or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters beneath the earth. You shall not prostrate yourself to them nor worship them, for I am the Lord, your God- a jealous God, Who visits the sin of fathers upon children to the third and fourth generations, for My enemies.” Isaiah 48:11 (Stone Edition): “For My sake, for My sake I will do [it], for how can it be defiled? And My glory I shall not give to another.” Man cannot save you! 1. Psalm 146:3 (Stone Edition): “Do not rely upon nobles, nor upon a human being, for he holds no salvation.” 2. Isaiah 2:22 (Stone Edition): “Stop relying upon man, whose breath is in his nostrils, for what is he esteemed?” 3. Jeremiah 17:5 (Stone Edition): “So said the Lord: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, and turns his heart away from the Lord.” 4. Psalm 118:8-9 (Stone Edition): “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in nobles.” These verses emphasize the futility of placing trust in humans or earthly powers, highlighting the importance of relying on God who alone provides true salvation, strength, and refuge.

@RawlinVanatta
@RawlinVanatta 6 ай бұрын
The interesting thing is that “Wind” and “Spirit” is the same word in the Biblical Hebrew language. And so, if we are to take Genesis seriously and it is the “spirit” or “wind” of God that hovered over the face of the waters, and it was that spirit that made all things with his powerful word, then it would not be unreasonable to then believe stories of the spirit revealing Jesus who is the word made flesh to individuals according to John 1. And if we are to take Jesus serious, he points out to Simon when he renames him Peter that his (that is Peter’s) acknowledgement of Jesus as Messiah, Son of the Living God, was not revealed to him by flesh and blood but by God and that the reason he named him “Peter” which means rock, was that his church (his assembly) would be built on that same rock of acknowledgement. This seems to presuppose that one cannot even recognize Jesus as son of God without God’s spirit revealing it to them. If that then is the case, it brings us back to the original idea that it is the Spirit that reveals Jesus to us and not our own efforts. Therefore it would be reasonable to conclude that stories such as the comment above speaks of, seem to be parallel with scripture rather than perpendicular to it.

You are taught not to judge and as soon as you say someone is a sinner you are judging which God teaches you not to do. P.s. What about Roman's 2:15? And Colossians 1:23
@EIA-Observer
@EIA-Observer 4 ай бұрын
@rogertayloRRR Roman's 2:15 speaks of general revelation, which is what Lennox was speaking of when he talked about missionaries meeting tribes who believed in a moral monotheistic god. The law written on everyone's heart is the knowledge of good and evil which exists even without special revelation from God about who he is, aspects of him can also be discerned from nature and the world around us, meaning even without scripture people are capable of good, which in the absence of scripture is sufficient for salvation. In Colossians 1:23, I understand it to speak of the resurrection of Christ having had an effect on all creation, not uniquely humans, in Luke 19:40 Jesus says that if he tells the people to stop worshiping him then "... the stones will cry out" in their place. The claim that "all" of creation has heard the "gospel," is something worth looking into more; although, it is worth noting Paul does have a hyperbolic style of writing, and he could be speaking of the massive reach the gospel already had and will continue to have rather than to implying that every single human (included in all of creation) actually heard the Gospel message, rather that there was new hope in the world accessible to all creation. Hopefully, that sets you on a track for an answer.

That's not what the Holy Scriptures say! No one seeks God according to the Bible. God is the one who seeks and saves His people. If there is an elect person in a tribe who has never heard the gospel, God will send the word of God somehow (via missionary or read the Bible) and save that person. Remember that faith comes through hearing and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17) -- John 6:44 KJV - 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. -- Romans 3:11 KJV - 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. -- Romans 10:20 KJV - 20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. -- Luke 19:10 KJV - 10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. -- Philippians 2:13 KJV - 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure. -- John 6:29 KJV - 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. -- Psalm 65:4 KJV - 4 Blessed [is the man whom] thou choosest, and causest to approach [unto thee, that] he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, [even] of thy holy temple. -- Ezekiel 36:22-31 KJV - 22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not [this] for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. 23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I [am] the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do [them]. 28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. 29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. 30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. 31 Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that [were] not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. -- Romans 10:17 KJV - 17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If there is a tribe completely disconnected from the outside world who haven't met any other human group, let alone hear the word of God, then they will not be auto-condemned. However that is only if they listen to their God given conscious about right and wrong. If they live generally good lives and follow the golden rule, then they are fine. If they commit sacrificial offerings killings for example, then they have gone against the laws written in their hearts and will then be condemned. Thats my understanding in so few words.

Those who never heard? This is a moral question. It’s questioning God’s morality. Like, why would God not want to save people? Why wouldn’t he give them the word directly? First, Christ’s sacrifice is necessary for salvation. So why would God show up 2,000 years ago? Why not anytime before that for other people? Christ’s sacrifice also applied to people before even if they didn’t know what the sacrifice was. It’s retroactive. Even though it hadn’t happen yet, the sacrifice still covered their sins. They may have just known about God, but they trusted God for their salvation. Everyone knows God exists through nature and conscience. There’s nobody out there that doesn’t know God exists. They might not know Jesus, but they know who God is. Some say that those who don’t know Jesus can be saved by Christ’s sacrifice if they seek God (like OT Saints). The OT people did not know Jesus’ name but they were still saved by his sacrifice. Paul even says the gospel was preached to Abraham. Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. He trusted in God and he was saved by works and trusting in Christ. The more biblically consistent view is that God will get true seekers the truth about Christ so they can be saved (Acts 10-Cornelius). Cornelius is already a believer in God but he actually is given the gospel so he can be saved. So it seems like you need to know the name today to be saved, right? But what about people who don’t know his name? Well, it could be that God has so ordered the world so that those who never hear the Gospel, wouldn’t have believed it anyway (Acts 17:26-27). That’s possible right? We know there are a lot of people who do hear the gospel and don’t believe it, right? But it could be people who never hear the gospel wouldn’t have believed it anyway. Why is this a possibility? In Acts 17:26-27, Paul is speaking to the Athenians on Mars Hill and notice he says, “From one man God made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and “he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.” So it could be that those who have never heard Jesus wouldn’t have believed anyway. That’s possible. So God is not morally culpable because he knows they are not going to believe in him anyway. The bottom line is this, since God is just, nobody is going to be treated unfairly. Everyone is going to wind up where they ought to wind up in eternity. Let me ask a question. If I were to ask multiple Christians if they know someone who is not a Christian who they’d like to be a Christian, they’d obviously would know at least one person, right? Now if we ask those same Christians if the people they are thinking of are on an endless pursuit of the truth or they want to know if Christianity is true, right? Or will the Christians say the non-Christians are more apathetic and/or hostile? What would the Christians say? Most Christians will say the person they are thinking of is either apathetic or hostile. Most non-Christians I know are not on a truth quest. Instead they are on a happiness quest. They are going to believe whatever makes them “happy”. If they think God is going to get in the way of their happiness, so much for God, right? God wants us to be saved, more than we humans want to be saved. That’s what he says he wants all people to be saved. You think if God wants all people to be saved, all people who want to be saved, will be saved? Yes. I rest in God’s judgment and love. This is all ultimately going to work out. What I know does save people is the gospel. We need to risk all to get everyone the gospel in whatever way we can. Atheists might not be satisfied with this, but they are just bringing up moral objections. If you’re not a believer by what standard do they have to say that God is immoral? BUT it’s a good question they can give to our worldview. So Christians say God is a moral being, but then they try to point out immoral examples. God wants everyone to be saved, but if certain people don’t want to be saved then it’s because they don’t want to be saved. A lot of people out there are not even seeking God. Instead they are running from Him. Because they want to do their own thing. Even as a Christian half the time I wish I could do my own thing. Doesn’t everybody? It’s inconvenient to a lot of people that someone’s the boss but it’s not us humans. I’m just being honest.

Innate absence of true information is called innocence. God does not punish the innocent. But when presented with true information, the ignorance of such is called rejection of the truth. THAT is what God punishes. When you've had no chance to know, you have no guilt. When you've had a chance to know and rejected it, you've got guilt.

Many gave heard if it but didn't think much if it, can they blamed if they genuinely thought it was no different than any other book even when they heard it? What about those that hsve good reason olto believe it's fake? Can they be blamed? Or what about those who know it but don't know the commandments or the punishment?

Innocence and guilt are legal terms- not epistemological terms. Guilt or innocence have nothing to do with knowledge. If I’m traveling 80mph in a 45 mph speed zone, I’m guilty of breaking the law whether I know the speed limit or not. God will judge people according to whether or not they have broken His Law. All people have knowledge of His Law as He has written it on our hearts. Claiming ignorance is simply not a sufficient alibi when we stand before God.

Roman's 5:13 "To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law." This must be taken into context of Roman's 2:12-16 "¹⁵ They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts..." which speaks of our inherent knowledge of a good and evil. Where scripture has not been heard and Christ is not known, people are not condemned by their unbelief; however, they are still held to a standard of morality which is on the "hearts" of all people.

As a LDS, we have an answer for the main question, but I do love the answer given here. Growing up as a “traditional” Christian, I was taught that if you did not accept Christ than you can not be saved. So is this a divide in mainstream Christian doctrine? And where and how does baptism come into play? Seems like some say it is required while others say no. Yet that was one of the primary messages from Christ and the mission he gave to his apostles?

If anyone hasn't heard of Jesus, for his own sins, he is condemned, but if he has turned from sin, as Noah did, and Abraham, he will be saved by the grace of God. If he is condemned, it will be for lying, stealing, rape, murder, etc. Not because he hasn't heard the Word of God.

Agree he is. It begs the question “who actively seeks God and chooses Him”. Is the choice for God something I do as if I were choosing a flavor of ice cream? Is it a choice I can make as well as unmake (choose God and then choosing against God the following week)? The choice for God is something only God can do within the heart of man. So faith is not merely my self directed choice as I make many choices in life. So the God is a gentleman idea and never interferes in the mind of man is more a logic argument than a biblical one. I understand his desire to do this bc it is uncomfortable to say God Himself chooses for salvation through His own sovereign choice those appointed for eternal life.

This was one of the best explanations for the question of, doesn't God condemns a person for not excepting Jesus if they never heard of Jesus. Too many preachers believes they have to have an answer for every biblical question. So, when they don't know the answer for a question, they just make stuff up. Sometimes it is best to say, I don't know. Billy Graham views on this question is the same as John Lennox and he has gotten criticized by some ministers for it.

7:18 Over revealing himself in that way eliminates choice. We need space to operate in if we're to act in free will and not under duress. Got wants an honest and real relationship, which means we have to choose Him and his good works while having a reasonable option not to. -- If God wants to start a safe drivers club, he can't put a policeman in everyones passenger seat ready to give him a ticket if he speeds. The diver will never speed, but it would be an expression of duress, not free will; and not an indication of whether they're actually a safe driver. Scripture constantly refers to God evaluating and testing us.

"Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? 1 Corinthians 15:29 I think this is a beautiful aspect of the gospel that doesn't get addressed enough in Christianity.
