The best thing you said, and the moment I almost cried, was when you said that we are the best hard workers. It's the thing that motivates me the most, when someone recognizes that in me. Now I'm fired up!

Im a INFJ and Im just learning about the cognitive functions and you really described my ENFP husband. He passed away on June/2023. He was the most intelligent, hard working and generous person I’ve ever met. He had deep strong connections with his friends and we’ll know on for his unique sense of humor. He was whether loved or hated . Nothing in the middle . As an INFJ, I unknowingly played my role of calling him out publicly to control his Se Demon. We were a great team as he used to called us. I miss him so much. Thank you for your video, I can attest to everything you said in the video ❤

My notes: - Charity (giving small things/presents) enables all transitions - _Responsibility-Ne_ : focus on what matters (and not on trivial things/info) - _Certainty-Ni_ : Contemplate opportunities in solitude - _Faith-Si_ : Developing good habits: reading nonfiction; Doing hard work and try & error (and no searching for talent): outcompeting everyone & being out of my comfort zone - _Love-Se_ : being grateful for reality; strengthening/healing people; every goal will be possible when focusing on charity (enable massive societal change through vision)

Also, as an ENFP I do charity work, but sometimes I wonder whether I do it because I'm good or people will think I'm good, I don't openly brag about it, or put it on social media but again..is that because I'm aware of how that makes me look. Then I come to the conclusion that the end result is good regardless, I help people and it makes me feel good so it's a win win!

I’m an ENTJ (INTJs cousin we have the exact same functions just different order) who dated an ENFP for a very long time and have had many ENFP friends. I will say you guys are EXTREMELY likeable. I have Ni as my second function so I love your intuitive nature. You guys have good ideas too and it’s very fun to go on these abstract mental adventures with you guys. I do have some constructive criticism to give, (assuming you’re an ENFP) so maybe you can work on this. As a dominant Te user, logic is my way of life (same with INTJs btw). My problem with the ENFP is it’s not possible to reason with logic. You guys just don’t respond to it no matter how hard I try to break it down. You guys will just do whatever the hell you feel like doing, and then you find yourself at 35 years old and still having done nothing with your lives (sorry if that’s a rude wake up call). The problem is you don’t listen to peoples advice no matter how much sense it makes. You’re more concerned with having fun and socializing that you avoid taking on any responsibility or boring tasks that bring you closer to your goals. Fortunately you’re very likable so you can pretty much just get other people to help you with the hard stuff, but how far can you really go if you never feel like taking on the workload? Of course it’s uncomfortable working on the process and I understand that being a low Se user definitely doesn’t make it easier for you, but you NEED to focus and work on that. Your functions are like a muscle and they will become stronger the more you use them. There’s much more to life then just shooting the shit with your friends and wasting all your time accomplishing nothing. Pick out a ONE goal, and work on it RELENTLESSLY. I know you guys have a new goal every week but really try to pick the most important one (buying a house, building a business, finishing school, learning a language, starting a KZbin channel, etc). Quit chasing after fun all the time and go accomplish at least one thing and I promise you will feel so proud of yourself. You can start with working 10 minutes a day on your goal and slowly work your way up. The key is to be CONSISTENT and to do it every. Single. Day. With no excuses like oh I’m hungover, or oh I have to go to a party soon, or oh I actually my dog needs a bath. Just focus on your goal, and work until you’ve reached it. Quit fucking around.

Can I ask what you define as logic? Because it's actually very interesting topic of discussion... Do you feel that additional perspective and abstract correlation isn't refining our logic? I think you would be very surprised how logical our minds are actually! Closing your mind to a couple paths and limiting your perspective to conform doesn't make you more logical.... It's more like we don't accept anything as absolute. We don't explore possibilities for unlogical and fun. Like people tend to think. We are correlators and branching outside of the normal is actually to find a deeper understanding! I think if you spent a little more time reflecting on your own logic you may realize logical is like normal and what's normal? Is it everything your fed or what you choose to eat?

I believe bc I can go through information super fast with my Ne, I have been able to funnel down to the best information….I’m in the middle of becoming a funded trader. And she’s still trying to figure things out. Not sure if that helps.she’s brilliant with systems and data but I can say that when it comes to figuring things out and collecting information, I’d say I’m faster in that way. Haha and trial and error in trading will have a other types crying in the floor, but as an ENFP, I want MORE! Hahaha I want more patterns and information and I love that shit. Very exciting stuff for me. And I do this ALONE. I love this bc I feel myself becoming smarter, and it also validated me bc of the ti trickster. I feel smart 🤓 😂

The end really resonated with me so much. I am talentless but do benefit the most from hard work. I was working really hard in my economics class early in the year, so much so that my teacher called me a genius. Then I let it get to my head and just think the stuff came naturally to me. My grades subsequently dropped. I just can't seem to trust in that Si inferior and adopt good habits. I hate to suck at something and have to work hard to get better, but, when I do get everything going great, I don't seem to value that enough to keep it going. I hate reality when I am losing and love it when I am winning, but I just have to accept it for what it is. And I do worry excessively about my future too; I can't even pick a major because I think it limits all the other possibilities. I'm starting to buy into this MBTI stuff, even though it's something I still don't understand.

And where I lose all certainty is around the WHY I do things more than the what or how… For instance here, you’re saying ENFPs are all about the process rather than the outcome and they try and try and try and enjoy the journey more than the goal. Which is 100% the story of my life. BUT the reason WHY I’m trying (and study DEEPLY every attempt…) is because I enjoy more having satisfaction right away and getting to to the right outcome the first time around… this is the plan… just that in order to reach my goal I need to step outside roll up my sleeves and try one of the many options I studied… but picking one is a pain for me, I’d like to try them all simultaneously (maybe one day with quantum physics we’ll get to travel through parallel dimensions 🤞🏻 haha) but NATURALLY I don’t really enjoy paddling in the dark… what I want in the first place is to reach the outcome I wanted… But as a result my life looks like a chain of attempts after attempts after attempts so it may look like ENFP who enjoys the process, but I think it’s more an INFP struggling..!! 😅

I interesting. I think you just articulated exactly what I was feeling. I'm on similar journey... For too long now it's frustrating. I started out enfp, istp isfp infp isfp now finally I'm enfp.

@@natashacovich477 omg balancing with INTP too!! Haha I think we should be the same type in the end, we should meet up!! Haha Yeah I eventually ended up as an extrovert because I do need a lot of time alone and I enjoy it very much (the lock down in my tiny parisian apartment was surprisingly (even for myself!) the best time of my life!) but when I think about it and the reasons why I enjoy solitude that much is because its the way I feel connected with people. Like I can think quietly About how I could be of service and during the lock down I was posting a lot on instagram, to help people meditate and I started a blog to help people with addictions etc. So my solitude is not necessarily tinted with egocentrism but rather a twisted way to connect with my human fellows..! Which I love! I love studying people, watching them live, I think people are fascinating… (which is also a trait that makes hard for me to choose ONE partner because I’d want to share a lifetime with all of them..! Haha) 😅

I am definitely intrigued to continue listening to your content because of your straightforward approach to highlighting where type personalities can get hung up. Some very useful information regarding how ENFP need to develop discipline, work hard and focus on one thing at a time and complete it. I do disagree with the fact that ENFP are talentless. Every type has talent, but I took it to mean, quit assuming that ENFP are going to get by on that alone, because we are not - we have to work for what we want. I also think ENFP, because they can get into people's psyche very easily, can be very good at typing others. I am NOT into the advice of shaming an ENFP in public - that actually is horrible advice and boarders on abusive. This actually is very damaging to ENFP (or anyone) as we do tend to get bullied and not because people are "calling us out", but because they see our charity as weak. It works just as well if someone (we trust) provides the feedback in private. I sense you have not met many mature ENFP.

As an ISTJ (ENFP focused) I worked out that some people (Ti users) try to embarrass people into doing the opposite of what they say, so then i do DO directly what they say to me (to trick them back), for example if a Ti user says to me "you're too lazy to achieve that" i actually be lazy and be like "yes, you're right about that i will just chill out then (whilst thinking...why dont you just tell me what you think i should do?)", but now i am an adult i think i should act like ti users are actually tricking me into doing something, so in future when Ti users give me the "you're to lazy to achieve that" i will still think what i previously thought, but i will stop being lazy because i know that's more along the lines of what they mean, I've also noticed Ti users don't like being micro managed, so maybe they like being challenged like that, so i will just go along with their embarrassment thing and let them think im falling for that trick, even though that trick hasn't worked on me since I was in 2nd grade. Thanks for helping me develop this perspective Chase!

ENFP’s like any other type go through phases from what I’ve noticed in people we switch at major biological changes in the brain after neuronal pruning 7-11 after hormonal maturity 17-21 after the pre frontal cortex develops fully 25-30 the ENFP has these phases: INFP’s ENFJ’s ESFP’s or ENTP’s. But they often will say I feel like an INFP because they are the least extroverted of the extroverts in terms of total time to recharge that’s because they burn themselves out with their parental Fi. But watch carefully these subtypes are very real. I’ve analyzed many people and we all have them they’re very reliable for explaining the variance across different narratives of people of the same type

Great video ! I have personally been bitten by the Selfish depraved nature of ENFPs umpteen times. Just a curious idea: Is the philosopher quadra super affiliative and rule creating/abiding in order to avoid their Fi depravity? "We are all selfish and depraved, however we don't have a sense of reality or what we individually want, so let's create rules and systems where everyone has to depend on each other"

The ‘No Talent’ bit really made me think. Ever since I was a kiddo, I’ve plateaued at every skill I pursued. Dance, violin, cheerleading, hair braiding, tech. I just hit a ceiling at some point. Switched my major a good 3 times and am not using my degree.

I Love painting... I am so glad you brought up NATURE vs. NURTURE... I type ENFJ all the time, but I know I am ENFP after doing much reading on the ENFP and ENFJ differences. So, I stated researching subtypes, ennogeam tyoes, OCEAN tests, Narure vs Nature, ectt. I really needed to comprehend everything.. Do I have brain damage,, I wondered.. After doing the enneagram test, I saw I was a 2w3 7.. 2w3 will type ENFJ, because of my higher Fe. Plus I Connsidered my NATURE vs. NATURE, and now I know why I type ENFJ . I believe in a higher power and I love all people in a cherrible way because of ny Ethics and Values. Nature vs Nature ... YOU EXPLAINED THIS INFO. IN ITS ENTIRELY. THANKS. ALWAY LEARING SOMETHING NEW, DURING CORONA. LOLOLOL...

I know it's good before I watch it. Like when going to a restaurant you love and ordering something you haven't tried because you know no matter what it's gonna be the bomb. And I don't mean to offend anyone who has been a victim of bombing.

Great video! Learned a lot 🙏 I am a sexual 7 myself, I was wondering if you correlate enneagram and mbti together? In the sense of a self pres 7 is all about getting a good deal, getting away with it. More gluttonous in the sense of the world. I really see this in an ENFP being a charlatan and depraved. Myself, I’m more interested in the higher aspect of gluttony. Earth stuff doesn’t botter me, inferior Si is see as the epitome of boredom, yet I learned so much from Si people . The sexual is much more about the gluttony of love, and less getting a good deal. Like things like buying a hand sanitizer wouldn’t interest me, but manipulating people to escape guilt, get a love out of people, tell a story and “at more details” just for my own narcism would definitely be the case. I am more depraved in the sense of getting attention, and use people for my own private joke. So my depravtiy comes from different interest, but in the end same thing. I have a feeling a lot people think there are type 4 ENFP. But I don’t see this is possible in the sense of Ne is constantly active, endless ideas and mind connections. This does seem possible in type 4. They deal with their own worth and put off a image of “feeling special” yet have a constant inner lack themself. This correlates more with Fi. Defense mechanism is introjection, they suck negative emotions in, in order to get even worse negative emotions out. The depravity from the seven is rationalization. They rationalize every little emotion, action in their own mind just not te feel blamed. Ne is literally designed for escaping reality, boredom and pain. Fi is designed for a inner landscape, all about being authentic. Ne is a fluid function, correlates a lot with a fluid mind and have no inner morale compass. Long answer, with no conclusive text sounds like me.
