Good to know there’s two types of hypothyroidism. I just found out I have this and I just started my medication today. I’m pretty sure it’s not my diet, but then again idk. I’m not losing hope for it tho. I’ll do whatever necessary to get back to normal. I pray God heals and restores everyone’s thyroid, in Jesus name. Amen. I just wanted to update and say I quit taking the medication. I went to church a couple weeks ago and asked my Pastor to pray for me, and the next day I quit taking them by faith. I’ve done some research and found out that lack of vitamin D can cause thyroid problems, so I started taking multivitamins along with a vitamin D supplement and Magnesium supplement. So far, I haven’t noticed a difference between how I felt with the medication and how I feel not taking it. I used to have a seriously hard time breathing before I started the medication, and I’d notice it get worse again if I missed just a day. I’m still breathing like normal without the meds after 2 weeks. I also would get a lot of swelling in my neck and face on the right side and that hasn’t come back either. My diet is good now, but it wasn’t always as good and I think I developed a deficiency at some point. It’s funny, because I’ve seen so many posts about these vitamin deficiencies come up over and over for a long time now. I just never thought they applied to me, because of my diet. I think it’s safe to say God has been trying to tell me the answer lol. When your body is depleted of something, it takes time to build back up in your body. It also takes more than a simple salad to get the levels back to where they should be. I knew that, but I didn’t know my body was missing something. God just showed me that I was, and that taking those meds would’ve kept me deficient while masking symptoms.

at one point I was taking 250 micrograms of Levothyroxine. I started working out 5 times a week, mostly just cardio, and my doctor was blown away at my next set of labs. He lowered my dose to 50 mcg. That was a few years ago and I since moved and lifestyle changes etc... I needed to go up again because I don't work out as much, but because I do still work out, I'm only at 75. To me, this is a testament to how much staying active makes a difference.

I was not always lazy when I got diagnosed with low thyroid as well...I believe it is more about the food and drinks we eat. The bad foods are causing a metobolic breakdown of our digestive organs and that in turn, over time, causes other problems.
@joanneclark82563 ай бұрын
You think process? Rice?
@yellowdayz18003 ай бұрын
@@joanneclark8256 anything processed is a little or a lot of poisen to our bodies. If we eat processed foods, in the long run, we will have a laundry list of health problems. I am now a health reformer I know this is true. Have seen health problems disappear with people who go whole foods... Organic vegetables and fruits every day, whole grains non gmo, whole food breads and legumes etc no white flour, no corn syrups.. Nothing of those things none as they are horrific on the body. Start off with alllowing yourself a certain amount, only, of your fav. processed food. Like 20% of all that you eat per day. And the rest whole foods.. Then shoot for 100%.. A few cheat days. White flours are wrecking havok on our bodies it must go almost entirely and a few other things. You can learn a lot on KZbin.. Also, going to bed early and getting up early is a major health booster. Drink proper amount of water and the best water you can get...kinda Chug 8 ounces upon awakening.. And sip the rest through out the day...a little hymalayan salt on the tongue per day just a pinch.. Or we risk kidney failure and all organs will be weak now at an older age.. This is a real problem on the rise on our world.. IF, intermittent fasting, is another big health booster.. As the liver thrives under this.. It loves rest. Digesting food is lots of work on the liver.. The better the lieve the better we feel. The liver and heart go hand in hand and so on... Eat two meals a day five hours a part, five hours before bed minimum, no snacking.. A small bit of raw nuts with each meal. One fruit meal. With whatever else you want to eat. Then one vegetable meal with whatever else you want to eat. Till some days nothing but fruits and vegetables.. Three meals a day for those whoes job require a lot of physical activity. Keep stress out as much as possible. Switch to non toxic cleaning supplies... Can use ACV for lots of things.. Look up cheap alternatives. Baking soda for cleaning etc the laundry and dish soaps should be illegal! No purfumes..they should be illegal. Only all natural.. Can use cheap rose or lemon oil on wrist... Breathing exercises per day.. Very important. Air out house daily.. Things of that nature will improve a persons health exponentially. I switched to a whole food diet at 50 years old had hio pain that went away and a few other health problems. By simply getting the nutrients my body need. The body is designed to heal itself. And all organs are capable of restoration.. Except long term lung damage etc .. Don't trust suppliments... Make sure they are not toxic material. And use some good suppliments if you can, to get the nutrients back up.. But plan to get most your daily nutrients from dark greens.. About a half a cup a day.. This is the best advice anyone can tell you, out of all... Dark greens almost daily. Wish I could explain the marvels of the several reasons why. K2 and calcium are one of the biggest reasons why. Please buy only basmati rice, or jamine, brown rice.. Any rice that is better than the plain long grain. Also, whatever you use... Rinse in water first. Bring to a boil and cook with extra water.. Then drain when done.. And rinse one more time. Sadly.. Rice has arsenic unless you grow your own. And I just put a little water back in the bottom of the pan to keep the rice from drying up and getting hard, so it warms back up nicely after the final rinse. Hugs.

Thanks for this video. I have hypothyroidism. I am taking homeopathy treatment for it since a couple of months. I did gain weight in the last couple of years. But I managed to reduce 8 kgs last year. I have gained two kgs again. I am grateful to not have too many physical symptoms but I continue to eat healthy and workout and walk. I would like to be more active but due to work and sleep issues I struggle sometimes. I make a note of any physical and mental issues I face throughout the month and I tell my doctor about it. Other medicines, will have to be taken a lifetime. Where homeopathy medicines will be stopped once you are healed. Of course homeopathy is a slow process but I would choose it over being dependent on medicines for a lifetime any day.

Hi Amber ! I eat a lot of brown rice, quinoa, and couliflour rice most times I’ll have it with beans on the side (black red beans) or I’ll make curry chick peas, and I’ll do a salad on the side. Any thing green like fully cooked sautéed spinach, broccoli is good too as long as it’s fully cooked. For breakfast I’ll have oatmeal or rice cakes with avocado. Dinner I mostly have soups or no dinner at all..... In between have berries for a snack or an apple/orange or some type of fruit. and I also drank celery juices sometimes(mostly first thing in the morning) . I can’t tell you how much this has helped me. And it’s really important to work out, for us with hypothyroidism we don’t need a long work out, to start a 10-15 min brisk walk is great to start, I do work out videos on KZbin for 20-25 mins nothing more. Also google Dr Berg on hypothyroidism, his info helps as well. Hope you get better, if you have any other questions let me know, good luck

I didn’t realize this Rx contains lactose and can cause bone loss and can make anxiety and insomnia worse. I have osteoporosis and anxiety and insomnia! And I am lactose intolerant. I should have researched this Levothyroxine and never taken it. But my doctor knew I had osteoporosis and anxiety and insomnia and she still put me on this Rx! The acupuncturist told me Levothyroxine has caused anxiety and PANIC ATTACKS in some of his patients. After 2 acupuncture treatments I feel so much better. Actually right after the first treatment my anxiety went down and a feeling of warmth in my hands and feet increased ! Acupuncture alone is not enough I am taking iodine and kelp and selenium and zinc and B complex and vit C. I have always taken vit d3 and magnesium. And unrefined pink salt.

I have met a few the endocrinologists with great degrees in medicine from speciality hospitals and understood that any type of thyroid one has. They hav one pill for any ill kind of approach. (Talkin about autoimmune hypothyroid issue) Doctors don't care much about your antibody count, they jus check the TSH reading (numbers on report) n adjust synthetic hormone dosage, as if we are instruments in a physics lab.. The approach one need to seek is (incl, for autoimmune prob) a holistic treatment which includes major lifestyle n diet changes too.

U know in hypothyroidism it really takes time for exercises to work. But if u persist and keep doing some workout or exercises along with proper diet( not starving) and bit of appropriate medication you will surely see results over time!!!

Hey, I went through the same thing with my hypothyroid. Intense exercises made it worse but what worked for me instead were two things - walking 10k steps a day and avoiding all processed food. Worked like magic for me. Eventually I inculcated Intermittent Fasting but I'd recommend a doctor's consultation before doing this!

Thyroid issues sometimes comes down to iodine deficiency. Coming from a western country, I was shocked to find almost all the commercial brands in India produce salt without iodine which is illegal in my country. The rate of hypothyroidism in Japan is almost negligible possibly due to a diet high in naturally occurring iodine. Most of today's illnesses can be traced to a nutrient deficiency. Low Magnesium and Vit D can even be linked to depression and other mental illnesses.

@@050808yuyu once you start taking the medication your thyroid will function the same way as someone who doesn't have hypothyroidism so no your metabolism is tecnically not slower than someone without hypo as the medication will bring your thyroid levels back into the normal range as long as you take the medication your thyroid will function exactly the same as someone with a healthy thyroid gland
