I think an LFA will go the same route as other cars mentioned here. Could not give them away when new, but in my eyes the most insane car to come out of Asia. Often said to be the best sounding road car ever. Also, a Limited run edition (Nurburgring) available will push the prices up in my opinion. Good video Ed!

Agreed. Ed just doesn't like the LFA. LFA was being developed for over 10+ years. It's a 2000's car. In that regard, the Zonda started production in the late 1990s,so it's a 90's car.

I have been rewatching The REAL Top Gear. Hearing them talk about and test all of these cars was just crazy. It doesn't seem possible that we are at a point that these cars are "classics".

That's so true I've been doing the same. It's crazy cause back then even they saw the passion put in these cars. And the fact they where driving these rare cars and pushing them is amazing. It's so rare to find videos of these cars being pushed expect for a couple. And looking back they loved all these cars. This era of cars was AMAZING they where full of love and rawness. Your so right man as a kid seeing these cars new was insane to me and today they look like they came out yesterday. My favorite car era of all time in my opinion. They are becoming classics I agree man. It's been about 10-15 years so I consider them classics especially with how fast the car world moves now.

While I agree with most of your choices, I think that any North American supercar collection should at least have a Panoz Abruzzi. I remember seeing the ALMS version at Mosport in 2011 and it was a wicked looking thing, not something you could confuse with any other car. Also, in my list (aside from a 997 Turbo), there would be a Noble GTO M12 (the budget McLaren!) and a Wiesmann GT MF5.

Just a few i thought of probably not as rare but still iconic in 2000s 1. Dodge Viper (gen 2) 2. Aston Martin Vanquish 3. Acura/Honda NSX (maybe a little more 90s but they made them till '05) 4. Audi R8 (Will always be Iron Man's car) 5. Nissan Skyline (The Fast and Furious and Need For Speed made this an icon imo) 6. The special tuned American Muscles (New gen Shelby Mustangs, Saleen Mustang, SRT Charger, etc.)

I’m extremely disappointed that the LFA didn’t make this list. Sure it hasn’t broken into the 3+ million price tag as some of the others. But it is the best car to have in any collection. They only made 500, it has a great story, totally deserves to be on this list. I’ll be honest I’ve never heard of the spyker until you got one, so not so sure about the “impact”.

I feel these types of videos do better when they’re pointed at a certain class of vehicle because, to the point of the conversation, there really are tons of vehicles to consider. This video was more pointed toward the idolized dream cars - the ones we had on the walls in our bedrooms but few will ever have in their garage. It would be great to have you cover the more realistic cars like the S2000, C5 Zo6, etc., etc.

They're not really collectible now but the whole line of retro muscle cars is definitely worth mentioning. The 5th gen Mustang, 5th gen Camaro and also the Challenger. But the Shelby's and the ZL1's are I think slowly starting to get some traction. I would mention Hellcats but those are the 2010s.

Now they are basically being worshiped. Are they the same price as a Countach for example? No. But they are collectible. What I'm saying is that in 30 or so years those 00s muscle cars will also become collector cars. Not as much the base model V6s but the Shelby's and etc. definitely.

It is 100% a supercar, effectively a front mid-mounted V12, carbon fiber used in its construction etc. It just still has to deal with the hearsay about the gearbox. I have one, it's not bad at all once you learn how to use it.

100% on the Vanquish. without it there would be no AM today, it was the trail blazer for how the DB9, Vantage, DBS etc would be built. And while DAD was not the greatest Bond movie it still made the Vanquish a defacto Bond car. It just still has to deal with the hearsay about the gearbox. I have one, it's not bad at all once you learn how to use it.

In the 2000s don't forget the dodge charger SRT8 which paved the way for the hellcats of 2010s. I think the early SRT8s are going to start going up in value as time goes on with dodge not producing the hemi v8 any longer.

I think the murci, slr and gt are overrated and will most likely have the bubble pop. More so with the latter two since gated stick murcis are going to drag up the e-gear models but two big snubs/forgotten cars that will absolutely pick up are the ssc ultimate aero tt and mosler mt900. The ultimate aero tt is still sub 1 million with early cars are under 500k, last sale thats easy to find info on was a 250k for a tt in 2018. The top model, the xt only has one out there of an intended 5 and is still probably only a 1.2-1.3 car which is nuts given that the tt took the record from the veyron. The mosler is only a 250k car right now which is crazy given its racing pedigree and how quick it was around tracks when it came out.
