KZbin premium. I'm a millennial and I remember when this site had no ads. Google went and filled this whole platform with invasive ads and their bs 40sec+ unskippable adds don't do anything but fill me with spite.

3:05 this is simple actually when the power goes out the water stops running so having stored water is a good backup when that happens
@dcarbs297924 күн бұрын
Really? Not where I am. The water doesn't need electricity to run, just to heat up.
@keiffitz68923 күн бұрын
@@dcarbs2979depends where you’re at. If you’re on your own well you’re pretty much guaranteed to lose water pressure with power. In my part of Illinois it’s all pretty flat and the water towers are enough to maintain head pressure if the water treatment plants lose power but here in central mo it’s super hilly so if you/the lift station loses power it might get a bit hairy.

Here is my things listed Expensive cars like BMW, Mercedes Benz, and such. I just drive some average Toyota and go to my destination Shoes like Jordans. I wear boring New Balance or Reebok and then not worry about them taking damage since they're just running shoes. Imagine if Jordan made car tires and then no one will use them and have a tire collection like the shoes Carnival Games, The prizes are cheap things made in sweatshops. Feels pointless in the long term Alcohol, I see regular customers buying it like daily and I think why not buy it in bulk and then save it someplace and avoid the repetitive trips in a week. I also seen the same guy buying a pack of cigs every damn morning instead of buying 2 packs or a whole carton which would save him time and such. A parking permit for school. I did the calculations and I only have a class on campus 1 day a week and then I could save about $40 if I took the Public transit vs the permit. Works for me.

Anything name brand. I don’t understand how people can comfortably spend $200-$500 on clothes, shoes, and other materialistic without experiencing buyer’s remorse. It seems like a waste of money, especially when most of the time, the people buying these things can’t actually afford it. They’re using tax money or extracting large portions from their checks. If you have the money to splurge on it then more power to you but myself personally, I couldn’t. I’d rather invest that money into something worthwhile or putting it toward bills.

Lottery tickets/betting, cigars, cigarettes, vapes, fast food delivery apps, in-game purchases, fake nails and dating apps. Heard horror stories with dating apps. I'm not a big fan of fast food delivery apps; if I wanted fast food, I'll walk to the place to grab the food. I'm not a big fan of betting or lottery tickets. Same goes with in-game purchases. How the hell do you wipe yourself with those claws? With smoking, I hate the habit. I've lost my mother from COPD, due her habit of smoking for years. She went cold turkey when she was diagnosed with anemia and almost 8 years after her anemia diagnosis, she became seriously ill from COPD and had to be on a oxygen machine and oxygen tanks 24/7.

I'm one of the most frugal people I know. But, I've saved a lot despite my husband and I having a relatively low income, enough that we have more money and less debt than people around us who make twice as much. It actually helps that I don't have a full time job, though, as it's easier for me to do things. I'm also anti-social to nearly the point of phobia, so it's also easier for me to learn to do something rather than just pick up the phone. Things I won't or rarely spend money on: Carwashes, salons of any type, streaming services (we don't care to watch stuff very often), repairs that I can do including sewing and even some plumbing, nearly any yard or house maintenance that doesn't require a permit, restaurant food more than once a month, convenience food rather than careful ingredient planning, food that we'll waste, phone upgrades under four years, the nicest phone when we do switch, gifts for every family member on every gifting occasion, avoidable and burdening debt. I could list a bunch of things we have done rather than not to save money, but that would be rambling slightly off-topic. I'm not smug about not liking fancy things--we actually do enjoy some luxuries. But these are things we'd rather have and do instead of everything else.
