@jercasgav8 ай бұрын
Whenever the time change comes up, usually the most resistant to not changing the time are old retired people that don't like it when things they are used to change. Or it is a corporation that for some reason wants the time to change for their specific preference that isn't good for the population as a whole. Then the people most affected that actually work jobs and need sleep want to stop changing back and forth. Yes I understand that I am generalizing, all will not obviously fit into this category, just a general observation!
@patrisio38 ай бұрын
It mostly affects people who don't get enough sleep in the first place. The average amount of time that American adults are actually sleep (not lying in bed awoke) is 5.7 hours. One hour change in that case just adds to their already existing problems. But to most people who actually sleep 7.5 to 8 hours, they don't see what the fuss is all about. And from reading all of the comments, I see why we still change clocks. For those that want to stop changing time, it seems like a 3rd want DST permanent, another 3rd want ST permanent, and a 3rd doesn't care (probably cause they live in southerly locations that don't have as big of a difference in daylight hours between summer and winter like northern states).
