I had the same experience where I met a guy who was pursuing Buddhism. Unlike you, I still kept up with the situationship and that entire thing ended up being a disaster. It's true: never dim your light! Otherwise the darkness will pull you in and you will end up sinning! Don't be a stubborn donkey like me, ladies! Oh yes! you are speaking from my soul! I am in this intensely painful situation right now This video has been uploaded three days before I got together with my now boyfriend I wish I had seen it back then I am a Christian and my boyfriend is not, actually he is quite a wordly man, but somehow last year I thought Christians and non Christians can be together as long as he respects my belief I was listening to exactly the same lies as what this lovely lady in the video had talked about. I realized over the last couple of months that I cannot marry him but he wants to so badly .. we love each other very much We are each other’s first loves I am avoiding his phone calls atm because I am so afraid of having this specific heartbreaking talk .. I don’t want to break his heart but I have to choose a proper life with and for God, I want to serve my Lord more and more Please pray for us 🙏🏾😰💔 Sorry for the long comment 😬🙈

Young women today think that by wearing tight jeans and a low cut blouse will gain you acceptance in society, and by using your body for personal gain will allow you to advance . However when you start to read the Bible and know God for who he really is and what he demands from you. then all of this nonsense will disappear . Sadly today we still see christian women who talk about God and Jesus and continue to dress like Kim Kardashian

i want to say that sometimes god chooses us believers to bring non-believers to the light. my friends dad was a non-believer while his wife was catholic. As they dated he ended up converting and they have a great marriage.

Situations like these are exceptions, not the the rule. Yes, it's possible, but it shouldn't be encouraged.

ezy x - Yes agreed but I too am aware of the similar testimonies and think of Esther and Mordecai in the Bible. Esther was a devout Jew. Mordecai? Not so much. But God brought them to be together. - Exceptions can’t just be dismissed lest we put God in a box and judge the different ways He works in people’s lives. - Obviously I realize there were a lot of things in Old Testament times God ‘put up with’ (like people having multiple wives.) - And that Jesus and Paul clarify a lot about marriage in the New Testament. - There was no “dating” back then so personally I believe the only sure thing we can say 100% certain is that a believer must *never* MARRY or (become one flesh) with a non-believer, but how God works in a mature believer’s relationships before that is between them and God...

@jayda huntley So what? God works on His timeline, not ours. Just cause it might seem too soon to some people doesn't mean it's too soon according to God. Besides, you don't know this couple personally. Neither do I, true. But, I've seen many-a-video where they discuss how they met, how God revealed them to each other as their future spouse, how they've been praying about it and being open to the spiritual accountability in their lives. The people in their lives who actually know them personally have been praying about it and support their relationship. Based on the information they've given in their videos, I have no reason to doubt they're being spiritually responsible. If it truly God's will and His timing, who are we to say that it isn't? And again, we don't know them personally. Unless we know them personally and know all the ins and outs of their relationship, how can we possibly have a 100% accurate assumption of it? Sure, I made assumptions too. But, I made those assumptions based on things they've actually discussed in their videos. I'm not trying to make assumptions about things I cannot know since I don't know them personally.

I just got out of my first ever relationship with someone who is a Christian, but he is not born again. He believes that Jesus died for our sins, but he has not accepted Jesus into his heart (I pray every day that this changes though). I had to end the relationship because it was just too apparent that he couldn't love me how I need to be loved because he had no foundation in the love of Christ. We were unequally yoked. It didn't help that I was struggling in my own faith... I feel guilty for giving him a bad impression of Christian faith (going down the rabbit hole of idolatry (I basically placed him in front of God in my heart) and sexual sins), but I had to step away so that we could both be given a chance to fall in love with Jesus before truly falling in love with someone on Earth. It's only been a couple of weeks, and they have been so very difficult. I am grateful though that God has used this pain in my life to pull me closer to Him. I will never say that the sins I've committed are okay, but I will rejoice in the fact that God could make such blessings come from such darkness. God is good ❤

@@bellaelladaella I'm actually still in the middle of the missionary relationship and I'm feeling more convicted. My christian pals tell me that this is a turning point where choices I make will definitely reflect different levels of faith I'm facing. I'm just having a hard time right now because him and I have dated for 3 months, overcoming long distance relationship and I'm physically with him now. As much as I finally understand how such a relationship has many downfalls, and potential bad endings, I am entirely not ready to end this yet as I feel that things are way too early. I still want to have conversations with him about my faith, I still want to bring him to church. It's just a period of emotional turmoil now because the obvious faith route would be to drop everything, break up with him, stop exploring this country, stop studying what I like, and return to my country. It's too much of a loss for me all at one time. And I'm struggling to rest in the fact that even if I took such a big leap of faith and abandoned all above, I'll still be fine. I know I will be, at least eventually, but I don't have the courage to make that decision now. :(

@@lxmgg I think maybe you need to just stop for a moment and take a breath. I'd say spend some serious time in the Word and reflect on differentiating between what you want and what God wants you to do. Maybe you are supposed to stay (I doubt He'd want you in a relationship like that, but I don't know all of the details) and that's why you're so torn. Then again, I know it nearly broke me to leave my ex. It wasn't easy, but I knew it had no future. Sometimes the right thing is the hardest thing, but it is the most rewarding.

I went through something similar. I had a 10 year marriage only for it to end in divorce.. my relations/marriage started similar to yours.. I should have remembered the scripture not to be unequally yoked. The divorce was horrible.. it was the greatest mistake of my life.

I needed to hear this, i dimmed my light, i felt like i couldn’t spread His word, i felt like being faithful was weird and unrealistic. I broke up with him a month ago after only dating for 5 months - then yesterday we met up and i told him we need to not talk for at least two weeks to really give us time to move on. and then go from there. i want a Godly man!!!! God took someone out of my life and seriously brought in so many different kinds of people from the strangest places who love the Lord and help me in my walk. It’s amazing, I don’t talk to my ex anymore bc he ended up lying to me. BUT I found out he lied to me the day after I prayed for clarity on if I should still be hanging out with ex… God is so good. When you honor Him in all you do it all works out. Have patience and trust and the Lord will take it from there. ILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU!! But, I am thinking about meeting up with him to catch up and just be like how are you? bc it’s not necessarily like “I wanna see him” it’s more so just like, “YOO whattup bro let’s catch up with no intentions of getting back together!” Idk tho I’ve been praying on that thooo. We haven’t talked since mid June HOPE THIS HELPED

It took me like two months after I broke up with him to feel my fire for the Lord again and I’m not gonna lie, the past like 3 days I’ve been missing my ex sm but I’m praying on that a lot. I’m not sure if I should reach out and ask if he wants to catch up and get breakfast/coffee one morning… what do you think???? ALSO. I did learn after my breakup I CAN STILL GROW MY FAITH AND CHANGE FOR THE BETTER WHILE DATING SOMEONE…. I thought it wasn’t possible too bc the way I wanted growth was something he didn’t care to desire growth in ya know?? Bc we weren’t equally yoked whatsoever. I still was in love him a lot after our breakup but those feelings became easier to deal with and although I still care for him! I no longer am in love with him like I just don’t think that’s there anymore, but it could change if I were to see him so that’s why I’m nervous about asking him if he wants to catch up one day…. ANYWAY, just having a certain someone who is willing to hear u rant about him a lot helps, my younglife leader let me text her all the time about it and she helped me. Just give urself grace, and talk to ur significant other bc u don’t wanna be hiding this. They should help you and you should remember what God would want for you!!! @@sophiarenee that's relieving to hear! tbh i foresee myself thinking about him so much, almost as if we've never broken up. i really don't see it as a permanent parting of ways for now. but yeah i need to chat with others a lot to really see where my heart lies and how i can turn my eyes upon the Lord. thanks for the practical advice! i really appreciate it :)) and also, i think you can really take more time to pray/ talk to others and seek your heart first, regarding why you want to meet him, especially knowing that the heart can be deceiving and vulnerable - you don't want your months of solidarity with the Lord! would you be able to care for him as a brother in Christ (even with your feelings present)? is probably the most important question i would ask myself if i were in your position, which i believe i will be in very soon. take heart! and i love you as a sister in Christ here! will be praying for you as well

I can’t seem to trust God from my past. I got into a successful life and found a great circle of friends that truly love me and make sure to help me when I need it. I am successful at anything that’s thrown at me, whether it’s sports, family issues, helping friends with advise for life, academics. However, dating is impossible. I look for a girl who has values like the girl in this video, but none of them seem to want a relationship with me because of me not being a specific religion. I don’t really care about sex or anything of that sort, I just wish someone would spend time with me. It’s agonizing because I hold myself to such high standards with morals that you wouldn’t even believe me if I said I wasn’t Christian. I just struggle with dating someone worth my time and I wish to have a developing and loving relationship. What I am I missing or doing wrong? If you actually read this, it means a lot and thank you!

Christian girls who are serious with their relationship with Christ choose not to be with you not because of religion. It's because our relationship with Christ comes first, always. Believe me, it used to be a non-issue to me whether or not the man I dated had Christ in his life. But those very experiences of dating men who didn't follow Christ, or who didn't believe in God, were the very reasons why I no longer want to compromise now. Putting God first saves from a lot of heartbreak. My take on your situation: don't look for a girl. Look for God. Then you'll find the girl. God bless!

It can be confusing but trust me, God will get us through as his children, Ive recently been wandering inside my head with so much confusion but I know its just the evil one attempting to get to me, I can admit at times I feel weary and want to give up but remember we have a strong God by our side, our Lord, Our Rock and Foundation, Jesus!
