Great job to the three of you. Before I got real with God I married a non-believer and long story short, when I did get real with God it created many, many, many complications in the marriage and eventually she left the marriage. Thank God the court was guided by God to give me custody of our three children and I raised them as a single dad and they accepted Christ into their lives and they are so grateful they were raised in a Christian home...so am I! :) Women, please respect yourselves including your bodies, men, respect the women and yourself by really getting to know the person. Sex is just sex...the rest of the relationship, God and communication (not by texting) are whats real!!!

Yes Cate, because Jesus is the solid foundation of faith. Faith in Jesus is covered by Godly love. This love itself is a weapon and a very useful asset for people to jump into marriages. Marriage is not an easy course to take if there is no God's hand in the matter.

A man is supposed to be the leader of your household. If he can't even peruse you, that's kind of a red flag (for me) because that's his first chance to lead and it sets the tone for the relationship. Great content Kian. Keep up the good work sis 👍

I know this is probably a weird question but why does the guy have to be the leader of the household? Can you guys share it instead of him having authority? I understand that in the Bible, men were head of household but I’m not sure if that was because of the time it took place or if it was God’s intent for men to have the authority in a relationship. Anyone have any thoughts?
@qreua_3075
@qreua_3075 4 жыл бұрын
@@paigemiller4782 it was God's intent; you should read what the book of Ephesians says about marriage. In addition to it being biblical, it's also a preference of mine. The bible says men are supposed to "love their wives as Christ loved the church". That is from a place of selflessness, protectiveness, and authority. God did not intend for women to submit to their husbands in order to be taken advantage of. It was in fact the exact opposite. We are meant to have "complimentary" roles within marriage...not subordinate, so a man leading doesn't make his wife less than him. It means she trusts him. But never submit to a man who didn't have Christ in his heart, because it's the authority of the holy spirit within a man that makes him cut out to lead his wife in love. I hope this helps.

This speaks to me on so many levels. I was in a relationship with some one who “knew Christ” I was taken aback because I didn’t know anyone personally , my age that followed him, with all this there was mutual attraction and chemistry so we began dating. One thing lead to another and as time we fell into sexual sin, but at the same time god was already calling me and I refused to be in sin, yet he was in unbothered by it. As time passed father began to work in me and I started to realize that his faith was only on the surface and he was not full of the spirit as I had became throughout our dating. I asked and prayed to father plenty times asking is he was my husband and all he would say was focus on me. One day he said I would find the person I was to marry when I became that person. It then I knew I needed to part ways because we would never grow spiritually while we were together. Till this day I miss him, and when I think of what I want my husband to be like I describe him. But I don’t regret my decisions because I have seen how much father has changed me, given me wisdom and insight and that to me is worth more than anything in this world. I still don’t understand why father has given me the desire of a husband, but I trust in his plans even if I can’t see the outcome just yet. The funny thing is like this guy said, I had to trust in god to leave and wait on him for the right person, and well, he has had to trust in god for rejection by me. In the end let everything be for the glory of his kingdom! amen!!

I liked the video and respect that different people have different opinions. I believe in Christ myself, but I don't agree that a woman can't pursue a man or that the authoritative role should only be played by a man.
@ndamugobaivan1
@ndamugobaivan1 3 жыл бұрын
Of course Soumili. On my side it depends. If a girl approaches me, I would be very grateful that she has managed to cross the border. Sometimes this pathway is more traditional than the reality itself. Both men and women have a passion for love. We both have some ambitions n life, with love itself included. The only issue is that it is very uncommon for the girl to pursue a man, but this should not limit the goodwill between the two partners, and of course God should always be the target and the reason.

To add to this, when you talk to your children or other people about marriage, please phrase it as "IF you get married" and not "WHEN you get married" because it is not a destination. As you noted, some people are called for singleness. If it is in God's will for you to marry someday, then it'll happen :)

Someone who knows how to take a relationship seriously and put God first and know the "why" of why sex in marriage is so important and boundaries. Thats just super attractive to me and I pray for a man like that! A man can not truly love a woman if he doesn't have God in him! That's so powerful!

This video sounds as if it has been recorded yesterday because of its importance in our lives today. I can agree with Ryan and the two participants in general. Being a believer does not qualify a person to be your spouse. There should be more considerations beyond that. Believers should personally have a very good and sound relationship with God Himself before thinking of getting into a relationship with a spouse. Purity during courtship is another thing which is missed in today's church. The whole course of relationship starting with courtship until the marriage itself should be quite unquestionable.

Lately i've been thinking about an old friend who liked me. He was one of the gentlest, sweet guys ever. He's so humble and ambitious. I never considered him because he wasn't a Christian but sometimes it feels like they have amazing qualities despite not knowing Christ. TBH i've been praying for him to know Christ but also low key like God you think me and him can be together? I know it's naive because since we never actually dated, the big issues that can come from very different world views never came up. I also know a couple I respect who the woman was a new Christian and the guy was non believer, God told her he is her future husband and then later in life, he became saved and got married(not sure what order)... I guess it can happen. He's doing Gods work now. On fire for God

I feel bad for the guys. Guys do so much for us and still romance seems to focus on us while guys have to do it all: approach us, ask us out, pursue us, court and romance us, pay for everything, propose, save like 3 months of their salary to buy us a ring, talk to both families, etc. And all we do is show up to the date? Thats cold haha! I might get weird looks from friends but I do those things for the guy I am seeing just like he does for me. Come on girls. Lets put some effort for the guys just like we expect from them. There are women in the bible who also pursued men. They just didn’t demand and expect men to fulfill a long list of things. They just didn’t act cute and that was it. Lets try to be that woman from Proverbs 31.

I agree with a lot of things discussed in this video, however as a woman who grew up in church, waited for marriage to have sex and married someone within the church, I can say that a lot of the things taught in church are erroneous. God will not "send" you the person, that is a responsibility that was placed on us as part as humans created with a free will. There will be a lot of people inside the Christian world, we will be compatible with and it is our job to see what things about that person can be the characteristics we look for in a long-time partner. The people who are speaking in this video are young and probably do not have much experience in relationships and marriage, but as young single- adults I would suggest that you do not get discouraged if you have ever been in a "Christian" relationship and it ended up being just as bad or sometimes even worse than a worldly one. Being a Christian does not guarantee perfection and that nothing will ever be wrong. Christians are still humans and battle with the flesh, the only guarantee about a Christian walk is the peace and the security that even if you were at some point disappointed by a Christian relationship, everything will still work out for your good, somehow. That is what our hope as Christians really is.

I think it depends on what kind of Christian you are. I see as a Christian that dating a non Christian can be a blessing for their life and bring them to God. i wouldnt date an athiest though. Only someone who believes in God but struggling in their faith. i feel confident in my faith so dating a non Christian doesnt faze me. You can love like Christ while not being a believer. I think there are immature people out there but also exceptions. Also in terms of boundaries, if you arent Christian but are strong in your boundaries then you dont need to be afraid of crossing anything you "shouldnt". Romans 14 - "Blessed are those who dont feel guilty for what they believe is right". It's between you and God. Do not condemn someone for their actions, criticism is dangerous

Because of lust and the concept of the man pursues is what's causing the relationship issues. If both would seek God first and let God lead, relationship would be much better.

That’s true but what if Christian guys silly don’t pursue other Christian women? 😫

@@marshellsmith2224 You want the one that God has for you, but if your walk with Him isn't strong to where you listen and follow Him than you'll miss out on the husband that God has for you. Christian women are gifts to be given, not prizes to be pursued. Ask God to guide you to the right husband.

Just a question: I didn’t hear any mention of modesty on a male? Only that women have to cover up. That’s interesting. Also... Why in “past mistakes” did you only mention a woman’s sexual past and not a males? I’m so confused. I love believing in God but I want to feel equal and powerful as a woman. This made me feel weak and ashamed.

Bec Daly thank you for sharing your thoughts! That is a very good point and in the future I will do my best to incorporate that. As a women I can speak about my role in modesty a lot better than I can a men’s role or his sexual past. The men I do have in my videos may not be as open to share about those areas of their life either. Hope you can understand that as well. We are all equal and loved by a perfect father 💛

Something about the way you talk about non-believers made me uncomfortable- they are made in the image of God too and have just as much inherent value as the rest of us ‘believers’. I feel like any non-believer might hear this and feel alienated from the love of Christ, which is NOT what we want. A Christian who is attracted to a non believer is a valid reaction. To say they are automatically struggling with their faith is almost manipulative? We all stray, and the decision from there should be based solely on whether the gulf between a Christian and non believer is too large as far as morals, life goals and faith.

Isabella Beutel thank you for bringing this to my attention! That definitely wasn’t any of our intentions and I will do better moving forward. Appreciate it 💛

Disagree with the pursuing, when God said he who finds a wife finds a good thing, He was talking about finding the wife that God brought and gave him. He obtains favor from the Lord. If a man finds a wife who is non believer, he doesn't find a good thing. Men pursue God and women are given to men by God. A women pursues God and God leads her to the husband He has for her just like Eve was to Adam. Men shouldn't be hunting women, that's unbiblical.

@@Kian_Wolfgang It's the Bible's perspective, were told to seek first the kingdom of God than all things are added. Men and women pursuing each other is them seeking their own wants and desires.
