As someone who has lived in Korea for a long time (half Korean), Korea has a lot of issues, especially when it comes to prostitution. Everyone knows these places, and the government doesn't do anything about it. People get uptight, too, when you try to discuss Korea and its sexism problem. Every country that is overly conservative has these issues. But Korea is a patriarchal society. A lot of businessmen and other rich men frequent these 'hostess' places as a group as a form of bonding after work. The Burning Sun scandal happens every day here and with non celebrities as well. I feel for her, too, because men hold a lot of power and can often get custody without even trying because of how they do the family registries. My long-term boyfriend asked me to add my daughter from another relationship to his family registry so she could attend Korean school quicker before we were supposed to her married. I went and did my research and found out that he would get full custody of her, and I would have to fight him for custody back through court if we split. Which we did. I ended up finding out he was not only cheating on me, but he liked to get me black out drunk and SA me. At the time, there was that law that if you were both drunk, they couldn't be charged with a crime. So, yeah, I hope she gets justice and her children back.

Sometimes as a mother you do things that you think will cause the least harm to your children, even as the cost of yourself. She did that by initially not speaking up and leaving her children in his care. It's hard to believe those Yulhee's accusation against Minhwan. Because if you will watched the "My House Husband" she's more openly talk about their s*x life than Minhwan.
