Daryl Davis is another black man with an amazing KKK story (or stories) He converted over 200 KKK members into regular citizens just by talking to them and listening. Daryl went to rallies without the garbs on and did quite a bit, we don't hear much about him sadly.

You really should do a video on Daryl Davis. He's a black jazz musician who has played a key role in dismantling the KKK. He simply operated on one thought "a person can't hate me if they truly know me." He's an amazing person and is well worth the effort of a Thoughty2 video.

he was completely useless in the matter. not only that, his only role was serving as a liability. "chuck" or any other white cop could have accomplished the same end; and, did the legwork while Ron's getting the credit regardless of almost blowing the investigation and having a few chats on the phone. affirmative action credit for a pointless story to begin with. you may as well throw in the lie of the "invention" of crushed nuts(peanut butter) if you want to throw another meaningless bone. the fact that people celebrate stories like this actually goes to show the true lack of any real accomplishment by "them".

As a fundamental Christian, I can say with all confidence, kkk are NOT in any way shape or form Christians. Just because someone says they are Christians doesn't make them Christians. As Christians we are called to love EVERYONE, love the sinner, hate the sin. We can love people and still tell them they are on their way to hell. Not out of hate, but out of love, because we were all on our way there at one point. The only way out is accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior and repent of your sins. Praying for anyone thats reads this! ❤

Technically the KKK and people like them sometimes believe that black people are not related to whites and whites are specially created. While obviously wrong (e.g how do mixed-race people work?), it means blacks technically don't count as human so that rule and others such as do not murder don't apply to them. It's stupid, but at least theologically self-consistent, if not consistent with reality.

This happened so many times, most didn't get this far though. No doubt these great people will be listed in other comments. My favourite will always be Stetson Kennedy though, the clan was still massive when he stuck it to them and you could argue that's what started the mass membership decline. Though numbers had already started to decline. Plus..... more than anything has since it shows how something popular can be used for genuine good and world change.
@MyRegardsToTheDodo
@MyRegardsToTheDodo 2 жыл бұрын
Stetson Kennedy was great and he used his findings in a very interesting way. Radio was the mass medium of it's time, so him creating a series of audio plays was awesome. I read somewhere that even a high-ranking member of the Klan once complained that his kids were reenacting one of the audio plays when he came home, with Superman being victorious over the KKK-member.

His place has been taken by the new crop , ready for me to do battle with - I've just finished one , and the landlords staff , started another , while protecting one of their "secret employees" , that the rest of us aren't supposed to know about . It's unfortunate these people have taken the wrong path in life , only to hate themselves , above all others , into an early grave .

This is genius! the guy is an absolute legend 😂😂 but the cross burning always confused me - surely that would be blasphemous as its the symbol of Christianity - though quite why they wear a symbol to remember the way their messiah was killed in the first place is baffling too as Bill Hicks pointed out.

The burning cross thing was something which originated with the Scottish clans-- a man on horseback would ride through the countryside in times of trouble, carrying a burning wooden cross in hand, in order to rally the members of the clan to arms.

Wearing crosses, is to remember that Jesus died and paid the debt for our sins, it's a symbol of victory over death. But i have no idea why a christian would be part of this though!

The cross burnings first appeared in D. W. Griffith's "Birth of a Nation.' The film which made the KKK appear to be the heroes was popular amongst the KKK and prompted them to start the tradition of burning crosses. Before this movie, they didn't do cross burnings.
