I'm Cuban.. I lived amongst those people.. I was once one of them.. and it brings tears to my eyes that every single day Cuba deteriorates more and more. Every day that goes by, the country is poorer, every day that goes by people can't afford less basic stuff such as food and medicine, and finally every day that goes by, the people are less and less professionals and good people. The Cuban government has not only created a country in ruin, but it has also made criminals amongst the society due to the necessity it has created through the lack of a capitalist economy. Tip for the non Cubans: When you hear the word communisms don't run away from it... FIGHT AGAINST IT, or you'll end up as poor as everyone else.

That is only part of the problem. Here in Canada when I came here was very nice Country but now it's going same path like Cuba maybe not that fast but it seems to be going that way and back then when I came here even now after 46 years I get the same " If you don't like it go back where you came from " and all I am saying don't let this changes to take place it will not end up good for anybody. Cuba is nice Country maybe poor but people are nice much nicer than in US or Canada and that counts for something.

And did you hear all the storys about the 90 % of Cuban people, who were analphabets and always hungry, at the time before Castro ?
@rereelovingod41211 ай бұрын
Live was better before Castro. I do not qualify Batista, but, Castro destroyed the country completely. Hecht, if you want to go further back, we can to pre-columbian...to the 18th and 19th centuries (and presently) with the onslaught of continued slavery by the Spanish and British (peoeple without food then) because of the sugar trade. My grandfather and grandmother were very much involved in the community in Havana before leaving because they were on Castro's list to be terminated. Thankfully, he was warned in advance and was able to devise a plan to leave Cuba. My family's story is an extraordinary one. As of today, I am an extremely outspoken US citizen against this government and how we as a people are losing freedoms. The US gov along with all the governments of the world, are corrupt and evil. Sadly, the freedom my family sought here, is diminishing daily, (truly never existing). Granted, we have electrical power, we can buy a car, we can buy food, but that too comes with a price. Think about it, if we do not comply with paying our tax/fee for property, our car, etc, the government takes it from you even though you paid for it. If you dump trash, they review the footage and send you a ticket if the local government here, where I live doesn't like what you dumped, even when its solely house trash. If I could FREE the Cuban peoples of today, I would. If I could FEED the Cuban peoples of today, I would. If i could FREE ALL THE PEOPLE ON THIS PLANET, I WOULD! There is NO reason why they nor us should live under any kind of dictatorship, whether communist, authoritarian, democratic, and "Republic," or any of them. I alone cannot change this. WE are all slaves to governments and property of those governments. I pray that one day, the Cuban People, along with all the peoples of the world, under all the governments, will stand in true UNITY and push back and take back our FREEDOM as HUMAN BEINGS! Vive La Revolucion...del Mundo!@@susanne-ui8fy

I wonder: What would Cuba be like if Cubans walked the streets less; what if, instead of so many (and so good) musicians, there were more building demolishers, more architects and more bricklayers? A world power!

In a country where you can’t own a house or property in general, you must feel pretty special to drive around in one of those classic cars. TBH, they’re probably held together with rust and bubblegum but hey, it’s not like there’s an Autozone right around the corner. 😉

Cuban’s cars are very special. Body is American but engine is Russian. It’s just amazing 😂😂😂

Cuba was a beautiful country when the mob ran the show. Then the US wanted Castro to come to power, so they staged a revolution. After realizing that Fidel was not their golden boy, the US embargoed Cuba, and sent it into poverty. The embargo is still in effect, mainly because of the Cuban exiles in Miami will not let the embargo be lifted.

There are several elderly people in the streets of Havana. Is this proof that life expectancy is very high there?

That's interesting that the government doesn't allow foreign car imports, but a american truck cruises by in front of you @34:05
