Man, reading the comments really cements that if you aren't doing a super low calorie deficit and eating chicken and protein powder all day you are a failure. She is on her own personal journey enjoying what she eats as she slowly is losing weight. And that's fine. She is conscious of her food and if she is happy with this pace than that should be fine. Keep going girl! No reason for us to suffer in our diet to get smaller faster. It's all about making changes that will work long term to keep the weight off.

Fun fact: average American eats about 90g of protein a day. The average American eats 15g of fiber per day. About 70% of people in US are overweight or obese. It’s really sad that the protein craze has crowded out actually nutritious foods that no one gets enough of, like fruits and vegetables, in favor of hyper processed protein snacks. Most don’t even meet 2-3 veg and 2-3 fruit a day. And I promise you no one got diabetic from too many apples.

I eat very high protein but eat tons of fruits that are low in the glycemic index, especially berries. You’re right protein is good but there’s more to nutrition and it’s getting lost these days.

I’d venture to say this is maintenance calories for you. Unless you’re doing a solid workout 3-4x a week? You obviously have a propensity for weight gain, so your metabolism is slow. Try swapping one of those meals with a green salad topped with mixed veg and roasted chickpeas or roasted chicken. You need to cut a few more calories if you’re not revving your metabolism with workouts where you sweat and are out of breath.

Losing the weight when you’re obese is more of a priority than eating habits. Much easier to slowly change and improve your eating habits and exercise once you’re a lower weight and closer to your goal.

Ngl, I started a weight loss journey a little over a year ago counting calories and changing what I eat. I lost over 100lbs and am now at a healthy weight. I see your progress I really do from when you started. The only thing I will say is you could be so much further on this “journey” if you were more disciplined and stuck with it. Not saying it to be a jerk or something like that, just saying yes there is progress but be honest to the audience. 40lbs in over a year. Because doing it this way will take literal years as we are seeing.

Proteins? Veggies ? 😢 you forgot about them? Eat what ever you feel like but add nutrition to it. Otherwise you wont only be in a calorie deficit but also in a big vitamin and nutrition deficit as well soon 😢

@@ghoul4066a couple of Spinach leaves is all she had that was nutritional. And then a shot which are always mainly juice. That's not enough for the day. She needs greens or salad. She always eats lazy takeaway foods and lots of crappy meats like ham

i mean if you're severely over weight sometimes the best way to do weight loss is to just eat less calories of the stuff you're used too that way you don't do too much too fast and get burnt out and then when you lose a good amount start focusing on eating healthy whole foods. because really being overweight is more dangerous than the junk food. like if it takes you 6 months to go from morbidly obese to overweight and you're eating fast food, i think you'll be better off than eating whole natural health foods for the rest of your life but still morbidly obese

@@cpickles7495if you go back a year ago she’s the same size. Also at her current size if she was in a deficit the weight would be literally melting off. Not to Mention the calories sometimes seem chosen really randomly. I think it’s good she’s encouraging food tracking but it’s almost impossible to not be closer to 100 pounds by now down

That is a lot of processed food 😬 I would be careful. You're probably making things harder on yourself by eating these types of foods. I'm glad you're trying to lose weight, and I'm assuming attached to that would be to get healthier. Just little baby steps is all it takes. Try limiting the amount of flour products (bread & pasta) you have to just your evening meal. Moving carbs to the evening really helped me. Also having anything that tastes sweet first thing in the morning made me super hungry all day and I was chasing that sugar high. You're doing great 40lbs is fantastic progress, it takes time ❤
