Found your channel while on the road this weekend. Your story of divorce (which I can relate after 21 years of marriage), your positivity, plant-based ideas and your overall journey has inspired me to subscribe and look at incorporating weight training seriously for the first time. I'm also a culinary instructor and student working on my Doctorate in Holistic Nutrition. The macronutrients you speak about and how they are employed to sculpt the body, fascinates me. I'll soon be 44, I'm 5'11" and 155 lbs and feel the best I have ever felt (and am only 10 lbs heavier than I was my senior year although at one point I got up to 180). My improvement is due to a plant-based diet and mindset shift. I'm grateful that you focus on our age group and I'm looking forward to incorporating your teaching and really seeing what I can do with this body. Many thanks...in advance!

I’ve started eating breakfasts again, after fasting for years and gaining weight from menopause, and these recipes are what I’ll be adding. Thank you.
@angelalynn93932 жыл бұрын
I can relate. I've gained almost 30 lbs in the past couple of years due to menopause and working from home since the pandemic started. I always start an exercise routine but end up stopping bc i suffer alot from allergies and sinus issues. And my eating habits are not what they should be, which only makes me getting back into shape nearly impossible. So as i was looking through KZbin one day, I happened upon a video 2 days ago of Melissa and I was like WoW😳. This sounds like something I'd be interested in bc it's centered around my age group and I would like to start back eating healthy again and feeling better about ME again and no better time to start than now 😌

I definitely want to try to omelette and probably the overnight oats too. A couple questions: I’m assuming the sweet potatoes & broccoli that go into the omelette are pre-cooked? For the overnight oats, could you just mix the protein powder with the oats and the almond milk and soak the whole thing overnight, then top it with the berries in the morning? How do you feel about oat milk vs almond milk? I like the taste of oat milk better than almond.
