On day day 12 of 21 day fast and doing well! Lost about 22ish #, with no kcal consumption. Embrace a mad scientist mentality with prolonged fasting! You hope all the good things you hear are true so jump in head first. You won’t die, you’ll build mental fortitude, loose weight and inches, the hunger goes away mostly, there’s are mental benefits and you took a chance! I’m a masters level powerlifter trying to get to a body recomp using this process to hopefully set myself upfor success. Started at 230ish/-22 this morning!

Thanks for sharing and for the info. I might try 7 days (after Christmas). My longest fast so far is 50 hours.

Great talk. The big proponents of fasting in the first part of the 20th century were the Natural Hygienists, with whom you may be familiar. They strongly prohibited salt (specifically) being added to water, as well as anything else (e.g. lemon juice). My first experiments with fasting in the 90s were not great using this guidance; listless and woozy. I was very thin and had low but normal blood pressure before the fast. I can only guess what it dropped down to during. Cole Robinson and snake juice transformed fasting for me. I just feel normal during it. BTW, I concluded that the Natural Hygienists were wrong about a lot of things way back then. Their hearts were in the right place, but they're very dogmatic. And still so with popular Drs Goldhamer (runs a fasting clinic) and Fuhrman (wrote a fasting book). This is a great channel. It needs to blow-up somehow. Have you considered screaming and cursing the entire time? ;-)

Lol! Maybe I should try a different style with some screaming and cursing, just to see how it goes. 😅 I'm not familiar with the group you mentioned, but what you're saying makes sense with respect to the salt and electrolytes. Thanks for your comments, glad you like the channel! 😀

I have heard that fasting longer than 96 hours (four days) can lower your metabolism rate...

Voor magnesium it is really handy, but you should take the right form of magnesium.

I just don’t get how those training wheels are not kicking you off I don’t understand how that’s still in effect in state?

Basically, if it doesn't really raise my blood sugar or insulin level, then my body is mostly still in the fasted state (most of the same things are happening in the body as if I hadn't eaten anything). Especially after multiple days of fasting, when it takes a lot to really disrupt my fast.

buenoauy bien , es un opción bastante buena incluir ejercicio , todo necesita un equilibrio yo salgo a caminar con mi esposa 1 hora , los primeros días nos sentíamos agotados pero el cuerpo se acostumbra y si la comida es saludable como si antes comía 3 porciones de spaghetti ahora es sólo una porción y así.... El cuerpo y el corazón agradece el cuidado que uno tiene

I don't remember exactly what I said in the video, but I was still going to the gym, I just did less intense versions of lifting and other exercises. One of the main keys for me was getting extra salt before working out.
