What I LOVE and HATE about Hot Rod Power Tour!

There's good and bad about every event, but as we stare at the beginning of Hot Rod Power Tour 2024, I figured it would make sense to put my own feelings out there. After 3 back to back to back successful Hot Rod Power Tour Long Haul runs, I think I've got enough info to put some quality commentary on the event. This year, I'm setting aside my 1979 AMC Spirit AMX, and bringing out my Dad's 1991 GMC Syclone. Should be a great experience and I'm looking forward to sharing the adventure with all of you!
I have been thinking about this video for a while now and eventually just decided I needed to film it. Especially for those people who are first timers, which we have every year, there are some key things to understand and be ready for. We are just a day away from the 2024 Hot Rod Power Tour, I hope you're ready for it!

Have to admit, being a truck driver slowing down to see the scenery is hard for me to comprehend. I've gotten to the point I skip all the tour stuff and just hop in the old car and go for a drive on any random wkend or wk. Might be 500 miles or 2500. No particular place to go is best experience.

Met you in 2021 when my son and I did the long haul. I have a unique perspective as I did the entire tour in 22 as a vendor. I can tell you that it’s a very different experience as a vendor. You meet so many great people and customers.

Still have everything else to do lol. I am hoping I will have it done for next year. My wife and We are excited to take my Vic on Hotrod Power Tours. It will be closer to next year I think. Wow that AMX brought back memories. I had a 78/79 Spirit Limited 304, 5 peed. First car I ever ran from the cops with. Yes I got away. Fun little car remembering it. I’ll be at Louisville. Thanks for the info

Have fun, 2004 power tour ??,I drove from ohio to Texas, to green Bay, back to ohio, on the way to Texas, in Indiana, stopped at roadside rest, my car got rear-ended, only car there, the passenger and driver got arrested, due and assault, just got car painted 2 days earlier

you give yourself and other youtubers too much credit. HRPT was here long before KZbin even existed. Get it straight, you're promoting yourself and your business piggybacking on HRPT and they owe you nothing. With that said, I'm sorry I won't be seeing you out there this year, my car wasn't ready and my Plan B is to attend the AMO Nationals in Petersburg VA next weekend instead
