I got allergic contact dermatitis from using a hair product. It affected my scalp. I stopped using it and then it still spread to the rest of my body. My doctors gave me antibiotics and steroid creams. Nothing worked permanently. This lasted for SIX MONTHS. I read a book that it had to do with gut health and vitamin D deficiency. I got sunlight, ate salmon, took vitamin D supplements, I cut out sugars and added prebiotic fiber and I felt a difference in two weeks. In another two weeks, my skin healed and the itching stopped. This experience inspired me to start my own channel talking about this stuff. If you are suffering, there's a cure!

@James Demouchet apparently i have contact dermatitis in my hands. I'd been given many creams but as soon as i stopped using them it all came back. A month a go i saw a doctor who told me to try taking vitamins and using a vitamin A cream instead. Now my hands are so much better. they're still a bit swollen but at least they aren't scratchy. I'll try to get my diet on point in an attempt to get those vitamins from food and see what happens.

I have contact dermatitis on my face, I use apple cider vinegar diluted with half water, it works. Dont ask me why it works but it does. It stops the burning, then the next day the redness is gone but the skin is dry and flakey, coconut oil is the best for that, it seems to dissolve the flakes

Apple cider vinegar I swear is the answer for everything! Haha. My moms been drinking it and taking chewables that are apple cider vinegar, she says it's been making her feel better...I'd like to try it but I have opened wounds so I'm not putting vinegar on open wounds...I try to remember to take the gummys every once in a while tho, but I'm constant consistent enough to know if it's actually doing anything

I suffer from chronic contact dermatitis of the vulva. I'm very allergic to toilet paper, baby wipes, most fabrics and even the shampoo I use in the shower. The only thing I can do to manage my symptoms are wear 100% cotton underwear and use coconut oil to ease the itching and burning. I've been waiting for over a year to see an allergy specialist
@alanstephens58834 жыл бұрын
any luck? I don’t know if anything I’m allergic too but back in March my balls started to get itchy and my buttocks I went to a dermatologist she said I had jock itch . Bc I do have athletes feet but all these months I been using creams and nothing worked so I went to another Dermontoligy and he said I have contact dermatitis he gave me 2 creams they only work for a little bit then it comes back 😬 I’m only on day Two with it tho... but it’s hell I hate the itching
@HiddenSorrow154 жыл бұрын
stephenStephens honestly it's been a hellish road. My only way of handling it and getting a sense of normalcy back has been wearing only cotton underwear and pyjama bottoms. I only use natural detergents in my wash (the norwex brand) I can't use toilet paper period because I'm super allergic so I have cotton cloths I've designated for that and wash them after every use. During sex I only use coconut oil as a natural lube because everything else causes a flare up. And I change my bottoms immediately after exercise to avoid and moisture irritation. I do take an over the counter antihistamine if I'm im the middle of a nasty flare up. I also only use natural and perfume free shampoo and conditioner in the shower to prevent an allergic reaction when it obviously runs down my back. It's taken me over a year to get to a place where I can be totally symptom free for a really long time unless I wear something by accident that causes a flare up. My doctor was useless in telling me what was wrong so I know the anxiety and frustration of feeling like this feeling of discomfort will never go away. I'd seriously recommend a total overhaul of any products you use that are coming into contact with your delicate areas. Think about eveything your bits come into contact with on a daily basis. Certain synthetic dyes, fabrics and what you use to wash your clothes in can be culprits
@alanstephens58834 жыл бұрын
Ariana Greig thanks for the advice and quick response honestly I hope my doctor was right and that it’s contact dermatitis and not a jock itch lol it’s werid for me because I’m 23 years old and I have never been allergic to anything so it’s kinda werid for it to suddenly happen now I will try these creams out for a month and If they don’t work we will do a couple of tests to try and see what’s the issue down there to see if it’s a fungus or contact dermatitis because since March I’ve been going crazy lol I learnt to deal with it I’m more comfortable at night now ... but I just really hope it ain’t jock itch I’m a young guy I have sex pretty often lol I don’t want to spread it to anyone if it is that I just really hope my doctor was right when he said it was eczema

I had patch testing done by a dermatologist, since I've been fighting contact dermatitis/eczema on my hands for over ten years. Allergens were revealed, and I've since stopped using what I'm allergic to (nickel, gold, and wool alcohols, and the latter is found in many balms and salves for hands!), but I'm still getting flare-ups, particularly after washing with industrial-grade hand soap. It's hard to not use this hand soap, as I work at a major retail store and washing my hands after using the restroom and before I take a lunch is an absolute must.

I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with my hands, for years I been told 20 different things, they split open so bad to the points I cant move them or open them so right now I cant even work anymore, I worked for years with them being horrible from being a CNA n having to wear gloves all the time n washing them with alchohol soaps, but even not working for the past couple months, my hands keep breaking out unless I'm on an antibiotic, it's so weird, n other parts of my body will break out too m be all itchy...I ended up with cellulitis all over my body at one point over the summer, from scratching n having open wounds everywhere...I used to have such beautiful skin, and it actually all went away after I went to the ER because I literay felt like I was on fire, my skin on my face n chest broke out and the top of my feet were oozing, my skin was like tissue paper, the Drs said they never seen anything like it before, but they gave me high antibiotics and IVs n steroids and omg my skin was gorgeous, it was like all new brand new skin...but it's starting to break out again real bad on my hands, and my regular Dr told me it's something about water, he couldn't even spell the term it was called, haha...but he gave me no info on it and only prescribed mr prednisone for 5 days n triamcinolone cream...but it ain't working anymore...n I have OCD n am like a germaphobe, so I have to wash my hands, n I try not to when they're horrible like they are right now. But i kno it makes them worse, but it seems like scolding hot water is the only way I can bend them and it hurts but feels good at the same time, only thing that will take the itch away, it feels like the itch is in my blood stream or under my skin to where I cant relieve it no matter how much I scratch it...I just finally got a referral to a real dermatologist, so I'm praying they can figure it out

I suspect I have Irritant Contact Dermatitis. My skin presents itchiness when the skin (especially on my arms or legs) are touched or grabbed, exposed to water, change in humidity or circulation/temperature. There's no visible rash. Antihistamines eliminate it completely which demonstrates that a histamine response is the cause. For years I struggled to figure it out and I realized through accident that antihistamines cure it.

OTC products will either make it worse or do nothing at all. Make an appt with a dermatologist and explain thoroughly how & when you got dermatitis. It usually is caused by too much water, sweat, too much friction, clothes, latex gloves, isopropyl alcohol, detergents, & other irritants even creams. It usually happens to people with dry hands and feet. That's from experience. Also, ask them if you could get a blood test even if it's not needed. I've heard that prescription Vitamin D supplements have also helped reduced symptoms. Either they will prescribed you an Rx topical cream or oral steroids if needed. Take care.
