I genuinely believe this clip is the best half an hour of content on the Internet and the original podcast is the best out there. Everything about it is just painfully hilarious from Si's accent and story telling, to just every story he tells

Having listened to Kilgallon tell us about Di Canio at Sunderland I can see why he succeeded as manager of Swindon. He ruled by fear and those Swindon players had bills and mortgages to pay so they took it. At Sunderland he was dealing with players who were already established and wealthy so he was never going to get a good reaction and earn respect in the long run with his dictatorship style.

Also probably a little harder to intimidate, a lot of playing any sport at the roof is the mental resilience and self believe required to exist in that environment and that’s before you go to work in front of 70000 people screaming their heads off. Those Swindon players had probably never met anyone like Di Canio where as the Sunderland players probably had.

@@oliverhunter9495 no Sunderland player has ever played in front of 70000 people you fool 😂

@@richiewarren547 I’m talking about top athletes/ footballers as a whole in my post as I said “ any sport” Plenty of athletes especially footballers play in front of crowds that size week and week out.

Chesterfield fan here, it was town that beat Fleetwood in the semi final. Only reason I remember that final was I watched Parkin do a shooting session. Honestly outrageous, must of been 17 stone putting it in the stanch for fun. Loved every second.

All the Di Canio stories I hear make him appear like a total bell end. Shaka. Hislop and Joe Cole have confirmed he often pulled out of away games, so how he’s the nerve to tell players to come in everyday for training is unbelievable
