I'm from Georgia and that climb up Blood Mountain is STEEP. Very cool that they're using the terrain up there for their selection.

My recruiter had no information on rrc. I passed the asvab i qualified of all the intelligence mos 35l has rasp. After passing and being selected to be in 75th ranger regiment can you go straight into rrc or you need more years to be qualified
@cameronoconnor2132 Жыл бұрын
Recruiters for the most part only know “big army” stuff, they’re going to be very limited on what the 75th does. Furthermore they probably have never heard of RRC. You’ve got a long pipeline if you haven’t gone to basic yet, but pass RASP first, get your tab, and then spend some time being a TL on the line and THEN maybe then mention going over to RRC.

They can fluctuate between tier 1 and tier 2 depending on what their tasking and mission is. With that said, it doesn’t take away at any point that they are one of the best ISR units in the world.

When he was deciding between going to selection at ft. Bragg (SF) or going for RRC, I mean… go for RRC. RRC is a tier one black unit, and SF is T2.

The only reason why any 11B Ranger would go SFAS is because once you're E6 and your did time as a squad leader on the line... there's really no mobility upwards. Either go Tier 1 or go SF. It's a shame.

@SickCall Ranger I'm actually in the SF pipeline, as I'm writing this. I'm leaving and heading to RASP. I see the qualities of the guys in the Q and man, I am not impressed. Now i know why guys in group are complaining about the shitty guys SWCS is producing.

All this “quiet professional” talk people bitch about. They’re not telling about stuff they can’t. This is just like lone survivor, American sniper, Rambo and platoon and shit back in the day, recruiting. Yes they make money, but the military also sees it as a way of recruitment. People listen to podcasts, if you think kids aren’t signing up thinking they’ll be like these guys you’re wrong. Recruitment has dwindled badly because it’s not as enticing anymore when you hear all the stuff that happens, but hearing guys stories does help to get young people to sign up.

LOL The UK SRR was modeled and based on the US ISA “Intelligence Support Activity” From former British Intelligence Corp Officer Micheal Smith who augmented 22 SAS in Omen and NI - *The extent of the ISAs success was perhaps most vividly shown when the UK Directorete of Special Forces decided to reverse the pretense of a shared history and follow the American lead. In 2005 it set up its own new units, the Special Reconnaissance Regiment and the 18th Signals Regiment in a fitting tribute to the ISAs success* - From his book “Killer Elite” VII introduction And no, they were not 14 Det before hand, 2 completely different animals.
