You two are so good together, Suze is so enthusiastic about bikes and you of course Shaun. Wish I could get my wife interested in bikes but no chance of that. Personally I like the Guerrilla a lot, it looks so much better than the Triumph which always comes across to me as a garage queen whereas the Enfield looks much more a serious proposition.

Thanks Ian, really nice comment to receive so thank you very much. We get Suzie up on the channel whenever we can really, if she had more energy it would be more often. I just think the Guerrilla is 'more bike' than the Speed and also that 53cc is a difference when comparing 400cc range motorcycles. I wonder if Speed 400 owners will trade in, a lot of them traded in RE 350s to get the Speed... 🤔

Hi Sean/Suz, had mine a week now and have clocked up the initial running in mileage of 300, going in for its service on Thursday. The snatchy throttle, the bike automatically defaults to Sport mode however, once you get used to the throttle control its fine. Occasionally you need to feather the clutch in traffic for a smooth ride but as my experience has increased and the bike has started to bed in properly its a lot lot better. The throttle grip itself is very sensitive and the minimal amount of throttle is needed to pull away and for smooth up changes through the box. The riding characteristics are completely different to those of the J series bikes. The essence is they like revs and lots of them. Its been a frustrating time keeping it to 4,000 rpm whilst bedding in but am looking forward to using 6,000 after the service where hopefully it will be more flexible. To low revs in the gears and the bike hates it producing a horrible clatter from the engine, nothing wrong with it, just a characteristic. I think when swapping to any new bike its a case of learning the characteristics of that particular bike, what it wants, what it likes and doesn't like and gradually adapting to those changes. Overall though a very pleasant bike to ride, I'm liking it! Have a wonderful holiday and look forward to your future vlogs.🙂👍
@MindfulMotorcyclist3 ай бұрын
Hi Jonathan, thanks for the comment. I'm pleased you went for a G450, you've experienced all the J series (except Bullet am I correct?). Even if you did go Bullet that's very close to Classic 350. Nice to get a different feeling bike in the stable and you are usually a very informed Royal Enfield early adopter with a good record picking bikes. I'd be very happy with a G450 myself. Completely agree they are a revvy little bike and not a plodder like the old Meteors and Classics are. I also noticed that 'wrong gear' clatter, as you say just adjust your riding style, my 600cc sport bike is useless below 9000rpm so I hold it in the gears longer, it will do 30mph in 5th but doesn't like it at all...

Hey Suze and Sean. Very happy,Suze that you are feeling better and are well enough to do a pillion ride. I was curious about the comfort of the pillion seat because in the videos it looks a bit narrow but Suze you have dispelled that concern. Just a great watch guy's good fun with good interesting views on the bike , I do like the Guerilla would certainly not discount it in the future . An interesting point I picked up was Sean said about it telling you when to gear change how does that show on the dash I hadn't heard of that before or maybe I misheard something . Don't change the way you guy's do these vlogs it's really entertaining to watch well done .👌👍
@MindfulMotorcyclist3 ай бұрын
Hi Crumbly, thanks for the comment. I can tell you on the gear change, there is an indicator for the gear 1,2,3,4,5,6 and N. It will display the gear say 3 and if you are in too high revs it will show a little arrow in red above the number suggesting you change up. I'm not sure if it works on the way down through the box as well, we didn't test that. Thanks 👍🙏

Great bike this, so funky. Tiger Ness told me, it was an enjoyable ride out. Have to disagree with Suz. Am 5 foot 4. But it’s your inside leg measurement that dictates the ride height. When I sat on it, on Saturday past, I was on the very tip of my toes. So for me, I would require a low seat and lowering link. 😢 This is my own personal experience. Not good being a short arse. 😂
@RewildwithSuzie3 ай бұрын
Oh yes I agree, leg length is definitely the consideration too. I was on the tips of the balls of my feet so not ideal at all, but way better than most bikes where I can't even put any part of both feet down! They definitely don't make bikes with shorter people in mind!
@MindfulMotorcyclist3 ай бұрын
Thanks Mark, yes it must be the leg measurement. I have shortish legs for my height (and arms for that matter😂) and so I'm not flat on the bikes I would perhaps expect to be flat on. By the way have you seen the CFmoto CL-C 450, nice little bike and could be up your street, shares the engine with the 450MT...

That was an interesting perspective from Suzie about being the pillion. Unfortunately my wife is frightened of my bike and won't even look at it.😆 I see below Steve, ExeterRider has commented. The dynamic duo is back, next the London Palladium! That’s brightened up a dreary morning. A serious question, motorcycle maximum carrying capacity. I find it confusing how this is described differently, I’ve downloaded the manual, this bike shown as 185 kg kerb - gross load: 376 kg. So pillion, passenger and luggage can add up to 191kg on top of bike weight. That’s 30 stone! A whole family and their goat on a 40 PS bike, impressive and worthy of comment. The BSA in comparison can carry 160 KG, so no goat or kids even though much more powerful??? So when considering pillions maybe that should be checked out too? And then, what about side cars…….
@MindfulMotorcyclist3 ай бұрын
Thank you Lumpy 😊. Well I'm 82 Suzie is 55kg so that means only 23kg of gear can be carried on the BSA, if you were going camping with a tent etc you'd certainly get close to that. Excellent point about gross weight allowance as I re in ride magazine a story about a couple who overloaded a big ADV bike GS BMW or the like over in Europe, the shock failed and the manufacturer wouldn't cover it on warranty as the bike had been used out of spec.

I know you had a meteor 350 before, I have one that I ride/tour with a pillion and don't really notice a change in performance. You spoke about having to work the 450 more with just a pillion, did you also feel that way with the meteor?
@MindfulMotorcyclist3 ай бұрын
I guess I did a little Walt, but the Meteor is geared for low down grunt whereas this bike is specced to rev probably at the cost to the bottom end performance. I'd have to look at the torque curves of both bikes for an indication. It was also 2022 when I sold my Meteor so I don't remember all that well how it was with Suzie on there...

If you let the clutch out without even touching the throttle, the engine will speed up enough to get you going. So let the clutch out, and then give it some throttle. Almost like driving a diesel truck.
