When I started writing my first book i watched your videos to help get started. Now I'm finishing my second novel set to release this year. Thank you for being open and honest with your videos! It's a big help, especially to those who are lost in what they've set forth to accomplish. Keep shining and i wish You much success.

Best video yet. I remember some of your early videos and you've always been professional and smart. That's what attracted me to your channel. You get better and better every year but this video spoke to me (I think I'm the hypocrite, learning and learning but never putting it into action). Thanks for the kick in the pants! And for putting out quality videos every week.

I really identified with what you said about helping people. I wrote my book about breastfeeding because I felt the need for a real story that shared the highs and the lows. I hope it will help people feel less isolated. The money was never the drive behind it (which is just as well lol)

Thank you Kristen! Solid advice as always and some of which I really needed to hear right now. I think my biggest question following this is, how do you go from being your own worst critic to your own biggest fan?
@AuthorKristenMartin5 жыл бұрын
Jane Ridgewood Love hearing that it helped! The best advice I can give when it comes to becoming your own biggest fan is to be extremely cognizant of the thoughts you’re thinking. We have over 70,000 thoughts a day, and many of them go by unnoticed-many of them are also negative. What we think, we attract and what we focus on expands i.e. negative internal state = negative external reality. Awareness of negative thoughts will allow you to stop the thought in its tracks, reframe it/work through why it appeared in the first place, and tell yourself a new positive story regarding that thought. Affirmations, journaling, and meditation have all helped me shift into a more “high vibe” state-and to stay there! Hope that helps!

I totally agree with you on the click-baity titles. They actually turn me off, and I make an effort to see past it... so hard though, they make my eyes roll immediately! lol Thanks for the tips. Truth.

Very valuable advice. So glad I tune into your channel with new posts. It is refreshing to hear some of your flushed out advice about the "clickbait" dilemma. Being genuine is so transparent and obvious when chasing views and viewership, that there really is no long term strategy to keeping that "persona" viable on this platform as a business model and/or practice. Thanks for posting.

Hi Kristen. Love your videos. You are amazing and a constant inspiration. Question about your Camp NaNoWriMo tutorial. Do I have to use it now? I have so much going on right now, main job, side hustle, but I think this would be a great tool for NaNoWriMo in November. Can I buy it today and use it for November? Thank you. I'd also like to use Valiance. Do I need both?
@AuthorKristenMartin5 жыл бұрын
Anne T. Hi Anne! Thank you so much for the kind words 🙏🏼 You can use the Camp NaNoWriMo workbook and pep talk videos any time you feel like writing your book ☺️ Doesn’t have to be April or even November-the course is completely flexible with your schedule. While the Camp NaNo course is great for getting a first draft down, Valiance is much more intensive because it covers the entire book creation process (outlining, writing, editing, publishing, and marketing) ☺️ If you have additional questions about either, feel free to email me at authorkristenmartin@gmail.com ❤️
